Then Phoenix and Trucy move in. Trucy takes one of the bedrooms and Phoenix has taken to gardening. The house becomes more lively, as the Wrights love to celebrate holidays. The rooms fill up, become a little more colorful, comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with food, the entertainment room television is on until late at night. Miles takes less overtime because he wants to get home in time for dinner. Because Trucy has homework she needs help with. Because he promised to watch a movie with Phoenix. Because his dog misses him.

He cooks sometimes, but mostly bakes. He helped Phoenix build a new bed for Trucy. He set aside a room so Phoenix could have an art studio. He loves spending time in the yard where Pess can run around and play.

Oh no! Our favourite red/blue pair are exhausted, from the case they are working on, from life, from wrestling with their unnecessary feelings. Perhaps they are working a case in a foreign land, or on a road trip, or perhaps they are trapped with a storm raging outside. Have they had too much to drink? Or maybe it’s just really late and inconvenient to go home. Whatever the circumstances, they find themselves in a situation where all they want to do is go to sleep and get some rest, however there is only one bed available and they are going to have to share it. They are going to have to lie next to each other with their defences down in the quiet and the dark. Just the two of them. In a state where they may not be fully conscious of their actions. Most likely in a state of relaxed undress. Feeling so soft they may find themselves reminiscing of simpler, happier times and earlier sleepovers. So close they can feel each other’s body heat and hear their breathing and wonder what the other is thinking or feeling…

Oh. Oh? Oh. Oh, well then. Maybe this isn’t so bad?

I am leading with this work because it is powerful, transformative, and artful, and I invite everyone to read it and shower it with the kudos and appreciative comments it so richly deserves.  It and the author deserve so much love. I can’t words enough about it. It starts off with some excellent, grade A banter (who doesn’t love a Miles and Phoenix road trip?). But then, oh my ducking gawd, it just reveals what it is truly about so beautifully and devastatingly... If you want to feel things, if you’ve ever been hurt by a loved one, if you want to laugh, if you’ve ever not felt safe in your own home, or if you have a curiosity about Florida (!?)…if you want to feel connection and feel hopeful (and in my case, possessed), I invite you to read this amazing piece of writing.

Richly crafted with attention to details including customized sprites and illustration, pun-named OCs, game audio clips(!) and evidence binders, you will get all the same feels the game gives you plus. It honestly feels like I've unlocked some sort of secret extra 'character backstory with smut' edition of the game and I am loving it!

Ok, so I (21M) recently got accused of killing this guy, DS(22M). I didn’t do it!! I didn’t kill him. But during the trial, my defense attorney, (I’ll call her C, (24F)) started to point out evidence that pointed towards my girlfriend at the time, DH(20F) as the one who really killed him. 8 months ago, DH gave me this glass bottle necklace, and C thought that it had been used to carry poison to kill a guy before that. I was really upset over her trying to accuse my girlfriend of being some sort of horrible killer, and ran out of the courtroom, grabbing the necklace on the way out. I needed to get rid of the necklace somehow, so I chewed it up and swallowed it. When they brought me back to the courtroom, I told them what I did, and C seemed pretty freaked out about it. She managed to prove my innocence in the end, and I’m still incredibly grateful about that! I’m actually studying to be a lawyer on the side, and C ended up taking me on as her protégée. So things did turn out ok in the end. But I can’t help but feel a little bad about causing Chief so much trouble… and she really did seem freaked out when I said that I ate the necklace, but I don’t know why yet.
