#‘‘you dangerous mute lunatic’’ also applies to v1 #funny how they’re both games focusing on machines #both set after some terrible event has happened to humanity #both involving stationary shooters (turrets vs sentries)#lots of movement (whether with portals or movement tech)#and *antagonists whose names start with g who have a complex queer coded relationship with the protagonist #*antagonist from V1’s perspective as gabriel tries to kill it. story wise v1 could be considered the villain since gabriel #-is more or less the main character of Ultrakill with most main events centering him #-we just play as V1 because it’s a lot more fun to run around being a murderous robot #-who kicks off many plot events #also v1 and glados both have yellow optics :)#comparisons aside i think v1 would enjoy going through aperture’s puzzles #there’s nothing left to fuel it with blood so of course it would eventually break down #but v1 seems to like puzzles and extra stuff (based on the limbo secret puzzle level and the fact you can interact with a lot of #-‘‘unnecessary’’ things like the Hank skull interactions #-the fact it stops to read books and tap tiles and solve mazes to get the secret weapons etc)#im so glad someone finally drew a portal and ultrakill crossover :)#they both mean so much to me. i heart robots #portal #ultrakill #glados #one last addition: glados has no blood so v1 has no reason to try and kill her #and v1 is immune to neurotoxin so if they really wanna kill each other they’re gonna have to get super creative with it

ultrakill fandom's second reminder that gabriel is not a sadboy twink

i said this on old main but it drives me up the FUCKING wall every time someone purposely mischaracterizes gabriel in favour of sexualising him. like yes i do understand the concept of satire but i dont think people who say "its js satire" realise how bad it is in the community

i say this partially because we have a gabriel fictive who loves using tumblr but has to stop sometimes because all hy sees is suggestive art of himself.

now look i love gabriel too. hes a very interesting character. hes hot. but some people need to be bonked on the head with the frying pan of clarity and reminded that:

gabriel was an archangel

gabriel was so powerful he slaughtered the biggest recorded husk by himself

he beat sisyphus and his army

he is so influential that he has fucking disciples

he was GOD'S WILL. think about that title for a moment. like actually think about it.

before anyone reads my tags i just wanna say my opinion isn’t worded as well as i’d like it to be. there is of course a chance i could be wrong like there is in all aspects in life. and if i seem preachy about portraying bdsm properly im sorry. i know its not that deep people just wanna read violent sex between an archangel and a robot. but the way you write things does reveal (even if only to a small degree, obviously not everything you write reflects your own views and values) even to a small degree your own personal opinions and biases, such as ones even well-meaning people (which is a majority of people) may subconsciously have as a result of the society we live in pigeonholing us into it.

also sorry if it seems mean spirited i just see this shit everywhere anytime a character is portrayed as a trans man and its terrible. honestly fandoms collectively need to treat every kind of genderqueer character (ex: trans women, nonbinary people) far better than they do (we STILL have people not accepting Kris is nonbinary) but this in particular has grated my nerves.

also, if you disagree, please don’t be mean to me personally about this. you can say something like “wow this take is incredibly fucking dumb. has he even read anything?” but please attack the argument and not the person.
