Actually, you notice it every Tuesday, and every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and both weekend days if he can find an excuse to see you, but Tuesday is when you finally put a name to it.
Puppy.
Clark is a puppy.
He does this thing.
This thing where he waits for you by your locker every single morning, and you don't even know how he gets there before you because his family's farm is a forty minute drive from school and the bus doesn't run that early, but there he is. Every day. Backpack hanging off one shoulder. Flannel a little rumpled because he dressed in a hurry, probably, because he was so excited to see you.
And when you turn to the corner...
His whole face changes.
It's not even a smile at first. It's just... light.
Like someone flipped a switch inside him. His eyes go soft and bright at the same time, and his shoulders drop from whatever tense place they were holding, and he pushes off the lockers like he's been waiting his whole life for this exact moment.
"Hey," he says, and his voice does that breathy thing, like he's a little winded just from looking at you. "Hi. Good morning. You look—you look really nice today."
You're wearing the same sweater you always wear. Your hair is in a messy ponytail. You have a stain on your jeans from breakfast.
He's looking at you like you hung the stars.
"Hi, Clark," you say, and he shivers. Just a little. Just a tiny ripple through his shoulders, like your voice is a physical thing that touched him.
His ears go pink.
You don't mention it. You've learned not to mention the ear thing, because if you do, the pink spreads to his cheeks and down his neck and then he can't look at you for ten whole minutes and Chloe makes fun of him at lunch.
So you just smile and spin your locker combination and pretend you don't notice him hovering at your elbow.
He walks you to class.
Every class.
Even the ones on opposite sides of the building.
You have biology on the second floor and he has history in the basement, but somehow he's always there when the bell rings, a little out of breath, hair slightly windswept, holding out his hand for your books before you can even ask.
"Clark, you don't have to—"
"I want to," he says, and it comes out so earnest, so fast, so harsh. "I mean. If that's okay. Unless you don't want me to. I can stop. Do you want me to stop?"
He looks genuinely panicked. His eyebrows knit together and his eyes go big and worried and he clutches your biology textbook to his chest like a lifeline.
You have to bite your lip to keep from laughing.
"It's okay, Clark. You can walk me."
And just like that, the sun comes back out. He beams. Beams. There's no other word for it. His whole body straightens up and his chest puffs out a little and he falls into step beside you.
Pete's standing there rolling his eyes and Chloe's hiding a smirk behind her notebook. Clark just smile. An awkward laugh.
Such a good boy.
In class, you sit by the window.
He sits two rows over and one seat back.
You can feel him looking at you. It's not creepy. It's never creepy (okay maybe a little. But it's Clark, what do you expect?). It's just... warm. A warm gaze on the back of your head, like sunlight through glass.
When you turn around to pass a handout, you catch him. He's got his chin propped on his hand and his pen hovering over a notebook and he's staring at you with this dreamy expression, like he forgot where he was.
His eyes widen when he realizes he's been caught.
He drops his pen. It clatters on the floor. He fumbles to pick it up and smacks his elbow on the desk and mutters "ow" and when he sits back up his hair is messy and his face is the color of a tomato.
You smile at him.
He smiles back, shaky and wide and so, so sweet.
Later, you find a folded note tucked into your textbook. It's a little star, drawn in blue ballpoint pen, with a speech bubble.
"thinking about u."
Then underneath, in his neat handwriting.
"Hope your bio quiz goes good. Not that you need luck. You're the most hardworking person I know."
You keep all his stupid notes in a shoebox under your bed.
Lunch is his favorite part.
You know this because he told you once, very seriously, that lunch was "the highlight of his whole day, probably his whole week, honestly maybe his whole life so far." Then he got embarrassed and tried to stuff an entire sandwich in his mouth so he wouldn't have to talk about it.
He’s already at the table when you get there. Saved you a seat right next to him. There’s a brown paper bag in front of your spot and you recognize it immediately—Martha’s baking. Clark pushes it toward you with this nervous little duck of his head.
“Ma made apple pie. I told her you liked it so she, um. Made extra. For you. Specifically. I cut it into slices the way you like. Triangles, not squares.”
You open the bag and there’s a little note tucked inside. His handwriting. Messy, rushed, like he scribbled it in the tractor on the way to school.
"Hope today’s a good day. You deserve it."
—C
He’s not looking at you when you read it. He’s very intently studying the cafeteria wall, ears turning pink. His knee is bouncing under the table and his fingers are shredding a napkin into tiny little snowflakes.
“Clark, this is so sweet,”
His head whips around and he smile.
Smile.
Like the sun came out.
Like you just gave him everything he’s ever wanted.
“Yeah? It’s nothing. It’s just pie. Ma did the hard part. I just— I just wanted you to have something nice. You work so hard. You’re so smart. You’re the smartest person I know, actually. Did you study for the biology test? I can quiz you if you want. I made flash cards.”
He digs them out of his backpack. Handmade. Color coded. There are little stars drawn in the margins and your name at the top in careful block letters.
He made you fucking flash cards.
He's so fucking cute.
He barely eats his own lunch. Too busy watching you enjoy yours. Too busy making sure your water cup is full and you have enough napkins and nobody’s bothering you.
At one point you catch him just… staring. Chin propped on his hand. Eyes soft. A tiny smile playing at his lips.
“You’re not eating,” you say.
“I’m not hungry.”
“Clark.”
“I ate a big breakfast.”
You give him a look. He fall for it immediately.
“Okay, I forgot to eat breakfast. I was too busy thinking about— about stuff. School stuff. Nothing weird.” His ears are crimson now. He shoves a carrot stick in his mouth to prove he’s fine. Chews too fast. Almost chokes.
You pat his back and he nearly melts into a puddle under the cafeteria table.
God, he’s pathetic.
He's jealous. He's so jealous.
He doesn't mean to be—he hates that he's jealous, you can see it on his face—but he can't help it. It's written all over him the second you so much as smile at another guy.
Whitney stops you in the hall to ask about a group project and Clark's immediately standing behind you.
Doesn't glare or puff up his chest or do any of that macho posturing stuff. He just stands there, hovering, his eyes big and worried, his bottom lip caught between his teeth.
Whitney leaves. Clark visibly exhales.
"Everything okay?" you ask, because you're not oblivious, you know exactly what's happening, you just want to hear him say it.
"Yeah," he says, too quickly. "Yeah, totally. Fine. Normal. I'm normal. He just... he's tall."
You raise an eyebrow. "Clark, you're taller than him."
"Oh." He pauses. Processes this. "Right. Yeah. I am." A beat. "Do you... do you like tall guys?"
You laugh. You can't help it. He looks so worried, so genuinely distressed by the possibility that you might have a height preference that doesn't include him, even though he towers over basically everyone in Smallville High.
"Clark," you say, and you let your voice go soft, the way you might talk to a nervous shelter dog. "You're my boyfriend. Okay? You're always my favourite."
His whole body sags with relief. He ducks his head, a shy smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.
Sweet.
Sometimes you catch him doing things.
Little things.
You'll drop your pencil and he'll catch it before it hits the ground, fast as a blink, and then look startled at his own hand like he doesn't know how it got there.
Or you'll shiver in the hallway and suddenly his jacket is around your shoulders, and he's standing there in his t shirt looking proud and nervous and a little cold (he's not), but he won't take it back no matter how much you try.
"Your lips were turning blue," he says, like that's a reasonable justification for giving you the clothes off his back.
"They were not."
"Were too. A little. Around the corner."
You squint at him. He squints back, stubborn, jaw set in his gentle way that means he's not budging.
You wear the jacket for the rest of the day. It smells like hay and laundry detergent, and when you give it back, he holds it to his chest for a full three seconds before putting it on.
Later, you'll swear you saw him inhale.
After school he finds you at your locker again.
He doesn’t even pretend he just happened to be passing by. He’s leaning against the row of lockers across from yours, clearly waiting, arms full of your favorite wildflowers.
Black eyed Susans and goldenrod and a few cornflowers he definitely picked from the edge of the Kent property (just now).
“These are for you,” he says, and his voice cracks a little on you.
You take them. He watches your face like a hawk. He's nervous. You can tell.
“Clark, they’re beautiful.”
Relief.
“Yeah? They’re just weeds, really. I mean technically they’re wildflowers but— I saw them and thought of you. They’re the color of your— I mean they match your— they’re pretty. Like you. Not that you’re a weed. You’re definitely not a weed. You’re more like a— a rose? No, that’s corny. I’m gonna stop talking now.”
He doesn't stop talking.
“Do you wanna come over? To the barn? We can watch the stars. Ma’s making dinner, she said you can stay if you want, no pressure, totally fine if you’re busy, I just thought maybe— it’s supposed to be clear tonight and I fixed the telescope and I found this new constellation I wanna show you—”
You say yes.
He fist pumps.
Actually fist pumps.
Then immediately tries to play it cool by leaning on the lockers and misses, stumbling sideways, catching himself halfway through.
Smooth. So smooth.
The barn is your place.
You don't remember exactly when it became your place. Sometime between the first time he showed you the telescope and the first time you fell asleep on the old couch in the loft. Now it's just... yours. Yours and his.
You’re curled up on the couch and he’s beside you, not quite touching, because he’s always so careful about that. He doesn’t want to assume. Doesn’t want to push. Even though he wants it with every cell in his body.
He’s telling you about the stars. Pointing out Cassiopeia, his voice soft and a little sleepy. His flannel sleeve brushes your arm and he shivers. He’s so easy. So sensitive. Everything you do gets to him.
“You’re not listening,” he says, and he’s smiling. Not mad. He could never be mad at you.
“I’m listening. Cassie something.”
“Cassiopeia. She was a queen who bragged too much and got put in the sky upside down.”
“Like a punishment?”
“Yeah. But I think she’s still pretty.”
You're not looking at the stars.
You're looking at him.
The moonlight catches his profile, the soft angles and earnest expressions. His hair is slightly messy. There's a piece of hay in his hair from when he flopped down next to you. He's so beautiful it makes your chest ache.
“Clark?”
“Yeah?” He turns his head, and the full force of those pretty eyes hits you, and for a second you forget how to breathe.
"What's your favorite constellation?"
"Yours."
He doesn't even hesitate.
"Clark, that's not—"
"The one that looks like you," he says, and he's blushing but he's pushing through it. "I haven't found it yet. But I'm looking. Every night. I'll find it eventually."
You have to close your eyes for a second. When you open them, he's still looking at you. Soft. Hopeful. A little nervous, like he's not sure if that was too much.
"That's really cheesy," you whisper.
"I know." He winces. "Was it too cheesy? It was too cheesy. Sorry. I've been workshopping it and I couldn't tell if—"
"Clark?"
"Yeah?"
"I liked it."
The smile that breaks across his face is brighter than every star in the sky.
He falls asleep on you.
It happens during movie night. You're halfway through some old Western his dad recommended, and Clark has been slowly, getting closer to you for the past hour.
First it was a casual arm over the back of the couch. Then it was his knee pressed against yours. Now his head is on your shoulder, heavy and warm, and his breathing has gone slow and deep.
You look down.
He's out. His cheek is smushed against your arm and his mouth is slightly open and he's making this tiny little sound with every exhale, almost a snore but too soft, too sweet.
He looks more sweet like this. All the worry is gone. He's just a boy. A sleeping boy who trust you enough to let his guard down completely.
You reach up and gently, brush the hair back from his forehead.
He stirs.
"Mm?" His eyes flutter open, unfocused and drowsy. "Whassat? Did I—was I sleeping on you? Oh no. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to—"
"Clark."
He freezes mid freakout.
"It's okay." You card your fingers through his hair. "Go back to sleep."
He stares at you for a long moment. His eyes are all soft and confused and vulnerable. Then he sighs—a happy sigh—and lean back in your shoulder.
"'Kay," he mumbles. "G'night. Love you."
He freezes again.
Every muscle in his body goes rigid. You can feel him holding his breath, can feel him panicking.
You keep stroking his hair.
"Love you too," you murmur.
He melts. Literally melts, like butter in a hot pan, sinking into you with a whimper that's almost puppyish, almost a whine. His hand finds the edge of your sleeve and grips it, like he's keeping himself together, like he's afraid you'll disappear.
"You mean it?" His voice is so small. So hopeful.
"Of course I mean it."
He makes a sound that's half laugh and half sob and presses his face into your shoulder. His ears are bright red. His whole body is trembling slightly. He's so happy he doesn't know what to do with it.
"Cool," he says, muffled against your sweater. "Cool cool cool. That's—wow. Okay. Good. I'm—I'm gonna be normal about this."
"Clark."
"Yes?"
"You're shaking."
"I know." He lets out a breathless laugh. "I know. I'm sorry. I'm just—you said—and I've been wanting to say—for like, two years, actually, and—"
"Two years?"
"Maybe three. It's fine. I'm fine. This is fine."
He's definitely not fine.
You tug him closer and he goes willingly, eagerly, curling into your side like he was made to fit there.
"Good boy," you tease, soft and fond.
He makes a noise. A tiny, strangled noise, somewhere between a gasp and a squeak. His head snaps up and his eyes are huge and his face is on fire.
"Did you just—"
"Maybe."
"Can you—" He swallows hard. His voice cracks. "Can you say it again?"
You smile. Brush your thumb across his cheekbone, right where his blush is deepest.
"You're my good boy, Clark."
He whimpers.
Then he buries his face in your neck and stays there, breathing you in, holding onto you like you're the only solid thing in the universe.
The movie plays on, forgotten.
Neither of you moves for a very long time.
In the morning, there's a note between your book.
It's a drawing of a constellation—a new one, one you don't recognize. It's shaped like a person, sort of, if you squint. A little crooked. A little imperfect.
Underneath it, it's Clark's handwriting.
"Found it. The one that looks like you. It's my new favorite."
The team has been trying to help Simon get better at flirting.
It started off with Johnny noticing how Simon’s gaze often lingered on you, the newest truck loader.
Then he blabbered it off to the entire team. So yeah— Simon may have banged his head against the wall in his quarters and slept that night thinking about choking Johnny.
But here he was, after a long day of being convinced to talk to you.
You had just finished unloading the last truck of the day and what better time to talk to you than now?
“You gotta be confident and bold with your words, L.T.” Kyle’s words.
“No, you have t’ be funny. Make ‘em laugh.” Johnny’s words.
“If all things fail, just ask ‘em for coffee.” John’s words.
Simon took in a deep breath and smiled (the best he could. He doesn’t smile often). You didn’t even catch it either; he was wearing his damn balaclava. “You just started working, yeah?” he asks, stuffing his hands into his vest. Confident, check.
You took off your gloves and patted your sweaty forehead with your arm, “mhm! About two-ish months ago,” you tell the older man, giving him a polite smile.
A quiet hum fell from Simon’s lips as he rocks on his heels a bit, “Once saw y’ trippin’ over a box,” Simon says bluntly. Funny, check.
You stared at him, blinking twice and half expecting him to finish his sentence.
He didn’t.
Instead, the two of you had a staring contest while Simon’s face burned behind the balaclava.
“You can trip on me,” Simon suddenly adds. Funny and bold… check?
Your brows knitted a bit, “what…?” you ask with an awkward laugh.
Fuck.
This wasn’t going how he imagined it to go. He imagined him coolly leaning against a wall or something while complimenting you.
Fuck, fuck, fuck.
“Do you have coffee?” Simon changes the topic, his entire face blowing up with steam.
Off to the side, John stared at his teammate with a heavy sigh and rubbed his temple. “Bloody idiot asked for coffee,” he mumbles.
Kyle shrugs a bit, “T’ be fair, you did say to ask for coffee,” he says, defending his lieutenant.
“Implying to ask for a coffee date,” John replies bluntly. “Fuckin’ disaster of a man.”
simon riley who quits smoking for you without a second thought
it was a nasty habit he's had since his teens, his way of dying a little bit with each lit cigarette. he never expected to last this long, with all the packs he goes through, bullets dodged, and the battles he's barely survived. he never thought to quit, always itching for a stick between his fingers to ease his anxiety and shaky hands.
before he met you, he never had a reason to. now that he has you, tucked into his side and leeching off his warmth, he knew he had to change. the little looks of disappointment every time he went for a smoke gutted him, or when you'd grimace every time you had to swallow his cum made him grit his teeth. or simply the idea that his smoking could kill your pretty lungs.
he quit cold turkey, like an idiot. it was the hardest thing he's been through, even if he wouldn't admit it, and he's been shot, stabbed and many other questionable things.
but it'd be easy in comparison if it meant keeping you healthy, giving you the live you deserved with him.
sure, he was as grumpy as ever and itched to put his lighter to good use, his hands shaking at his sides with restraint. he needed something to do, something to take his mind off the bad thing he craves.
and there's nothing more he craves than you. lips wrapped around your clit as he feasts on your puddy. tongue laving over the swollen flesh with half lidded eyes, murmuring excuses of, "jus' need m'lips 'n 'ands busy, luv." plunging thick fingers into your plushy cunt, slick and soaked with arousal as you let him. you're so proud of him for quitting, letting him overstimulate your pussy if it meant he never picked up another pack.
so instead of smoking ten a day, he'd eat you out ten times more instead.

Description: Asking the lads men if they would still love you if you were anything other than a human
Pairings: Valko x reader, Zayne x reader, Sylus x reader, Caleb x reader, Rafayel x reader, Xavier x Reader
A/n: This might probably flop even harder than my last post which was the second part of my Valko fic (pls show it some love) but I wanted to try my hand at smaus so have this thing that I cooked up.
P.s, Valko's is entirely for shits and giggles as he's a wolf and we see him as a puppy so ignore me (I'm still laughing about it)
Instead of asking like a normal person what he wants, he starts talking in riddles, expecting you to get the hint.
After a while you get used to it.
He’s also pretty spoiled so most of the time you’ll have to give in to him.
AGHHH, it’s so difficult to write malleus dialogue since he has a pretty fancy way of speaking (dhu S you dumbass he’s a prince of course he speaks like that).
But imagine you’re just chilling of the couch with your popcorn and suddenly you feel this presence behind you talking about some “I wish someone shared their popcorn with me”, CAN YOU BE NORMAL PLEASE?
Also gtfo you can’t just teleport in people houses as you please we talked about this.
synopsis — A recent news story about the prefect plunges the Octavinelle trio into an endless abyss of jealousy, pushing them towards desperation. In their quest to win the prefect's affection, the trio arranges a special dinner evening featuring a captivating jazz performance. However, beneath the layers of warmth and hospitality, a cunning scheme brews to claim the prefect exclusively for themselves.
genre — yandere
warning — not nsfw but the trio are a bit touchy, hypnosis and spell attempts
note — another Octavinelle one after Rielle :o + pls just imagine Mostro Longue is bigger than in the pictures they gave us😭
more works: masterlist
now playing: is it a crime? - sade
"Just me...?"
The prefect glances up from their seat to see the towering Leech twins standing on their side. It’s lunchtime, and the cafeteria is filled with students scattered throughout. The prefect and Grim sit with their usual group of first-years when they are unexpectedly approached by the notorious Octavinelle duo.
With devious smiles that are characteristic of each Leech brother, they present a special invitation to the prefect for an exclusive dinner at Mostro Lounge. This dinner is meant just for the prefect, with no one else from the table, not even Grim, permitted to join. Floyd emits a bubbly, yet somewhat eerie giggle in response to the reactions from everyone at the table.
“All of you should have seen your own faces!” His brother maintains his gentlemanly stance, placing a hand on Floyd to quiet his laughter. Floyd's amusement subsides gradually, and his attention shifts solely to the prefect. "So, what'd ya say, shrimpy? If you say no, I'll squeeze ya!” The atmosphere grows tense as they process the invitation, their mind racing with curiosity and a hint of apprehension.
Grim, ever protective and slightly possessive, narrows his eyes suspiciously. “What do they want with you alone?” he huffs, his tail flicking with annoyance. Ace joins in, confronting the twins' intentions.
“Yeah! What are you planning to do with them?!” He feels a surge of unease at the thought of them being with other boys, let alone the Octavinelle trio. The pressure around the table escalates for the first-years, amplifying their possessive instincts towards the prefect. Epel, sitting beside the prefect, clings protectively to their arm while still managing to keep his ‘cute’ demeanor. Deuce and Sebek watch the twins with palpable tension, while Jack makes an effort to maintain his composure, at least outwardly.
Jade Leech, with his usual cool demeanor, leans in slightly, offering reassurance in a smooth, practiced tone. “We assure you, it’s nothing nefarious. Our intention is purely to entertain and provide exceptional service for our dearest prefect,” he explains, his words as polished as his appearance.
The table falls silent, everyone's eyes darting between the prefect and the twins. The prefect, caught between intrigue and loyalty to their friends, finally nods. “Alright, I’ll come,” they say, trying to sound confident.
“But prefect!” All the first-years, including Grim, voiced their worries in an effort to persuade the prefect. Ace's and Sebek's voices rang out the loudest as both boys rose from their seats. The prefect reassured them, saying that everything would be fine."Trust me," they said, offering a reassuring smile. "I’ll be back before you know it, and I’ll tell you all about it."
Floyd claps his hands together, his excitement palpable. “Great! We promise it’ll be unforgettable,” he chirps, his smile wide and enigmatic.

The prefect arrives at Mostro Lounge precisely as the Leech twins instructed. They took note of the dress code details provided by the twins and chose the finest attire they could find in their closet that suited the occasion. As they gaze from the entrance of the lounge, it becomes clear that the other students dining that evening are also elegantly dressed. It appears that a special event is taking place in the lounge.
Jade approaches the prefect with a charming demeanor, offering his warmest smile and placing a hand on his chest. His outfit bore a resemblance to his typical dorm wear, but it was elevated with fancier fabric and adorned with a few embellishments here and there.
"Welcome to Mostro Lounge, my dearest prefect." His eyes are shut like crescent moons, revealing a glimpse of his sharp teeth as he adds, “You certainly look as magnificent as a pearl this evening.” Slightly taken aback by the compliment, a dust of pink shade appears across the prefect's cheeks. The prefect responds with a sheepish smile.
"Thank you, Jade. You look dashing as well."
"How kind of you, prefect. Now, please, kindly permit me to escort you to your designated seat."
The stroll from the entrance isn't too lengthy, as the table designated for the prefect is centrally located within the raised area of the room. A long, curved sofa encircles a table at its center. What sets this evening apart is the makeshift stage positioned at the far end of the room. It truly feels like tonight is something extraordinary. The prefect sits on the sofa and waits for further instructions from the merfolk.
"You may look at the meal for tonight on the menu. They will come around shortly to take your order,” Jade announces with a soft, melodic voice that seems to ripple through the air like a gentle current. The prefect nods appreciatively, picking up the elegantly designed menu that rests on the table. Leech excuses himself to leave and tend to other matters.
As the prefect glances through the selections, the room begins to fill with an anticipatory hum. Guests chat in hushed tones, their eyes occasionally darting to the stage, eager for the evening's entertainment to commence. The atmosphere is electric, yet soothing, as if the very walls were imbued with the promise of enchantment.
Moments later, a member of Octavinelle approaches to take their order. Then it doesn't take long for the meal to be served. Gradually, from the appetizer to the refreshing beverage and finally to the main course, everything is laid out with elegance. The table is adorned with dishes that look like they belong in a gourmet magazine, each one meticulously prepared and artfully presented. As they savor each bite, the flavors burst onto their palates, a testament to the chef's skill and creativity.

After all the empty plates had been taken, a tall figure walked toward the prefect with relaxed strides. Stopping by the table with a wide, toothy smile, Floyd places a plate with a cloche on top of it.
"Shrimpyyy, you're here!" Leech is also wearing an elevated version of his dorm uniform. However, typical of his character, he is dressed rather messily compared to his brother.
“Floyd! What are you holding? I don't recall placing another order.” Instead of responding right away, Floyd plops down on the sofa beside them. His huge, strong arms wrap around the prefect's shoulders, pressing against the boy's torso.
“If it weren't for Jade insisting on waiting by the entrance, I would have greeted you first! I would have led you to the table and spent more time with you!” The prefect quickly taps Leech's hand, signaling the weight pressing down on them, but Floyd still doesn't release his embrace. “I’m glad you actually listened to us! My threat worked!”
“Floyyddd, please stop!” Finally, the boy loosens his grip but continues to hold onto them. Although still in a somewhat awkward position, the prefect feels relieved to be able to breathe again. They reach out to lift the cloche off the plate, revealing a beautifully presented cake adorned in a striking shade of purple.
“Ah! That’s a complimentary dessert from us! You see, you don’t have to cover everything tonight. Since Azul insisted, he wants you to enjoy the cake as a token of how special you are to us!” Now that his name has been brought up, the prefect realized they hadn’t seen Azul anywhere. Considering the invitation likely originated from him, it’s quite strange that he hasn’t made an appearance. Moreover, the fact that they don’t have to pay for anything tonight adds a sense of guilt. If only they could explain to him that all of this is unnecessary.
Suddenly, a warm breath brushes against their ear as Leech leans in, tension palpable. "You know, shrimpy. We know what you did, and it made us verrryyy upset."
They instinctively glance at the boy with a raised eyebrow, asking, “What do you mean by that?” However, before Floyd can respond, his brother gestures for him to leave the prefect from a distance, signaling that the performance is about to begin. Floyd reluctantly releases his grip on the prefect, feeling a tinge of disappointment, but his mood shifts as quickly as a gust of wind.
“Well, the food is merely the beginning. The real excitement is just around the corner! See you later, shrimpy!” With that, Floyd walks away. The prefect, still flustered by his earlier comment, decides to set those thoughts aside and savor the complimentary dessert. It could've just been one of Floyd's absurd behaviors. Just as they take their first bite, the lights in the lounge dim, and all eyes turn toward the stage.
There stands Azul, also adorned in an elevated version of the dorm uniform, with his hand holding a tall ribbon microphone. Behind him are some Octavinelle students with their instruments ready.
“Thank you for joining us on this special evening. As you all know, I am Azul, the housewarden of Octavinelle. Tonight, I will be performing a beautiful song dedicated to someone special.” In an instant, as Azul utters the final words of his introduction, it seems his gaze lingers on the prefect's. They watch him with eager anticipation. A jazzy instrumental begins to play, setting the stage for the performance.
"This may come, this may come as some surprise. But I miss you."
Azul's voice, smooth and rich, fills the room as he begins to sing. The melody weaves through the air, enchanting the audience with its charm and elegance. While the performance is still going, the prefect is suddenly overcome with a wave of heaviness on their chest.
"They take his love, but it doesn't feel like mine
They taste his kiss, his kisses are not wine, they're not mine."
The band behind him provides a lively accompaniment, each instrument adding its own unique flavor to the performance. The bass guitar thumps with a steady rhythm, the piano keys dance lightly under skilled fingers, and the trumpet punctuates the air with a bright flourish. Together, they create a harmonious blend that perfectly complements Azul's vocals.
"They take, but surely he can't give what I'm feeling now
He takes, but surely he doesn't know how."
The prefect still can't explain what they are experiencing. It is almost as if there is guilt lingering in their chest. But they are not sure what the reason could be. They even wonder if it has any correlation to what Floyd had mentioned before.
"Is it a crime?"
In an effort to relish the performance, they give it their all. Without a doubt, Azul is delivering an impressive show. However, an uncomfortable sensation begins to envelop their body, causing a light sheen of sweat. As their gaze locks with Azul's, the world around them fades into a blur.
"That I still want you
And I want you to want me, too"
His piercing eyes stared straight into the prefect's. They feel a gentle tug at the edges of their consciousness, as if coaxing them to surrender. They can almost feel themselves slipping into the calm Azul is crafting, a serene ocean of tranquility.
However, in a moment of lost composure, their grip on the fork used to enjoy the dessert slips, causing it to crash onto the floor. The loud clatter echoes in the prefect's vicinity, instantly breaking their trance. The comforting haze evaporates, and the world snaps back into sharp focus. Azul's eyes widen slightly, his expression faltering for a brief moment before he quickly regains his composure, masking his disappointment.
"Tell me, is it a crime?"
When the final chords echo through the hall, there is a moment of hushed silence before the room erupts into applause, a testament to the power of music and the magic of the evening. Azul's eyes stay on the prefect's figure while they fetch the fork on the floor.
Before the prefect rises to wrap up the evening, Jade quickly steps up from the side. He advises them to hold on until Azul arrives to have a conversation with them. As the room gradually becomes empty, with only Octavinelle members walking around for a clean-up, Azul, with Floyd on his side, approaches. A smile plasters on his visage.
“Perfect! It truly is a delight to see you here. I’m thrilled that you accepted our invitation for the evening. You look as lovely as the moonlight.” Once again, a small blush spreads on their visage. The prefect beams up at him from their seat, feeling a wave of gratitude for the warmth and hospitality extended to them that night.
"I must say, words cannot fully capture my gratitude for tonight, Azul. However, I do feel a bit guilty for not being able to cover all of this."
“Nonsense! Everything is handled. You matter much more to us than you realize.” In one quick motion, Jade and Floyd shift the table out of the prefect's line of sight, allowing Azul to draw nearer to their seat. This action leaves them a bit puzzled, but they choose not to voice their thoughts. As the customers have all left and other Octavinelle staffs cleaning in the kitchen area, the lounge becomes empty, somewhat eerily so.
A pair of hands rests on the prefect's shoulders, prompting them to look up and see Floyd grinning widely from behind the sofa. They also feel a dip beside them as Jade takes a seat. All of this unfolds without their awareness, as an arm wraps around the prefect's back, with a hand gently resting on their thigh—both gestures belonging to Jade. He merely flashes his sinister smile. Floyd's embrace grows tighter as he pulls the prefect closer, wrapping his arms around their shoulders.
"W-what's happening...?" With their attention diverted, Azul slowly caresses their cheek. As they realize his face is just inches away from theirs, a wave of panic washes over them.
"My dearest pearl, why were you with him?" The prefect becomes increasingly uncomfortable and confused by the question.
"I don't know what you mean?!" Both the Leechs' smiles grow wider, baring their sharp teeth.
"Shrimpy, don't act coy! You forgot about that time you played with mahi-mahi in the sea!"
“Do you not remember your little playdate with the Prince, prefect?” The prince...? In that instant, they vividly recalled the day spent with the merfolk prince. However, the prefect was further puzzled by how much the trio seemed to know about their encounter. Surely, they couldn't have been present during the incident at sea.
"Our love is much bigger and stronger than he could ever give you. It dives, it jumps, and it ripples like the deepest ocean. Yet you were out there in the water with him." Azul's free hand gradually glides toward his trouser pocket to fetch an item. With their eyes still locked onto him, he pulls out a small vial filled with a purple liquid. "My dear, you have no idea how much it pains us to hear that."
The potion, brewed earlier, emits bubbles within the container. A wicked solution to the trio’s desperation upon hearing the news of their infatuation spending time with another, or rather, an enemy of theirs. They had become aware of their story from gossip shared among other students. His hand, which had been resting on the prefect's face, lowers gently to their lips, slowly prying them apart.
As the vial draws closer to the prefect, some footsteps could be heard from the entrance.
"Prefect! Are you there?!" Everyone immediately snaps to the source of the sound, and Azul automatically hides the vial back into his pocket. There stands the first-year friend group, and Grim barging into Mostro Lounge. Upon seeing the position the prefect is in, all of their eyes widen.
"Myah! Just what are you about to do to them?!" Grim swiftly runs toward the prefect and jumps onto their lap, protecting them from the three merfolk. The trio backs away from them to avoid further misunderstanding.
"Why did you guys come here?"
“We got worried when we noticed you hadn’t returned to Ramshackle,” Ace remarks as he approaches the prefect, with Deuce trailing closely behind.
“Exactly! We came here to ensure that you’re alright.” He kneels beside the prefect, holding their hand to confirm that they are safe. Then, he turns to the trio lingering nearby. “But... what were you three doing crowding around them earlier?”
Azul regards the two boys with a hint of disdain, raising both arms slightly to emphasize that he is not engaging in anything 'suspicious.' He then shifts into his typical charming persona to diffuse the tension.
"We assure you, we haven’t caused any harm to our esteemed prefect. We simply provided the finest service at Mostro Lounge, as they are our valued guest, Spade." Floyd adopts a bored posture, while Jade maintains his usual composed demeanor, despite feeling quite the opposite internally.
"Once again, we appreciate your visit to our establishment, prefect. We hope to welcome you back soon." Azul performs a grand bow before the prefect, who lets out a sigh as the situation unfolds. Everything has become unusually complicated, leaving many questions unanswered. However, they choose to let it go, knowing they have a group of boys whose worries they need to address.
"Alright. I am also very grateful for tonight's events. I'll return when the time comes." They stand from their seat with Grim in their hold, gesturing the first-years to leave the lounge. "Come on, guys. Let's go back."
As everyone exits the establishment, leaving behind the trio. Ashengrotto grips his hand, entering the VIP room with the twins following behind. The three fell silent, each lost in their thoughts, plotting their next moves for when the prefect is once again within their grasp.
Platonic Yandere Batfamily x Neglected! Nephilim! Male! Reader
A/N: Another Neglected reader idea yippie! I’ve been having this one on my mind for a while and I had to get it out there! But please remember, I’m still mainly focused on cookie run kingdom so this will only be a side project for now.
Btw this mainly takes off from DC comics and some of my own interpretations!
- Your mother was non-other than Archangel Jophiel, the archangel of beauty, art, craftsmanship, and wisdom. She found herself wishing to find a purpose outside of heaven and so, she went down to the mortal realm and disguised herself as an ordinary human woman to experience the life of a mortal.
- During that time she met the love of her life, your father, Bruce Wayne. The two met a gala and instantly hit it off with each other. A friendship bloomed between them and soon, it became something much more. Your mother thought to soon reveal her identity to Bruce and continue to live a happy life with him.
- So you can imagine her instant heartbreak when Bruce ended their relationship. Why? He thought that your mother was getting too close, that she would soon learn about his identity as the Batman and only serve as a distraction to his war against crime. Then a few months later after the break up, she found out that you were on the way.
- When you were born she was in complete awe, her precious baby boy, the light of her life. But deep down she feared for your future. After all you were a nephilim, a hybrid child between an angel and a human. She knew beings like you were to be hunted down by both angels and other dangerous creatures alike. You deserved a better life than that. And so, she placed a spell on you that sealed away your angelic nature. Leaving you to be completely human.
- She left you on the door step to the manor, you were sleeping peacefully in a comfy little basket with a note sticked on you that was directly addressed to Bruce. Your mother than returned to her place in heaven to forever watch over you. She wanted you to live a normal life as a human, free from the burdens of heaven and hell. She trusted Bruce to give you that life. She thought that you would be happier and safer with him. Oh how wrong she was.
- You can imagine Bruce’s shock and confusion when he finds a small infant you at his front door. But when he reads the letter your mother left you with, all the pieces to the puzzle come together. Bruce searches for your mother desperately, watching over Gotham as the Batman, searching in other cities, but in the end he couldn’t find a single trace of her. It was like she was completely erased from existence. And now he was stuck with you.
- The dear butler Alfred was your caretaker growing up. The man practically raised you as he ensured your every need. Making sure you were properly fed, helping you get dressed, and even helped you with your education. He was more of a father than dear daddy Bruce ever was to you. He was your only source of love and support in that cold lonely manor, but he also had the rest of the family to care and worry about so even than you were alone most of the time.
- Bruce Wayne, your biological father, the man who was supposed to love you unconditionally avoided you like the plague. He was attentive of your siblings and cared greatly for them, but when it came to you it seemed like he couldn’t care less. You never knew the reason why your father treated you this way, but you knew it had to involve something with your mother. You knew nothing about your mother as Bruce didn’t even care to tell you anything about her, but just from secretly seeing some pictures of her and Bruce together you realized something, she was very beautiful, and you look so much like her. Maybe that was the reason your father couldn’t stand you, because whenever he looked at you he only saw your mother. The woman he failed.
- Despite growing up together, you and Dick Grayson were never close. Although he treated you nicely there was always a distance between you and him. Your dear older brother didn’t have any time to spend with you as he was constantly busy with Bruce and even when he could he always made up excuses just to get away from you. When Dick left for Bludhaven you didn’t know. You found out when Alfred informed you about his departure. He didn’t even care to say goodbye to you and just simply left.
- When Jason Todd came along, unlike Dick he actually tried to form a relationship with you. He was the big brother you always wanted! Despite being so busy with Bruce too, he always made sure to spend time with you, your favorite activity with him was reading literature and books. Everything seemed good for some time. That’s what made the news of Jason’s death hit you even harder. You mourned and cried over Jason for many nights, Alfred was there for you, while your father was too busy with his own grief to care for yours.
- When Tim drake came into the picture you were hoping that maybe he could get Bruce out of his dark state. Even though you were still mourning over Jason, you still wanted to form a brotherly bond with Tim. Tim on the other hand, seemed completely uninterested with you and your attempts to spend time with him. He always seemed so jittery and exhausted due to how much of a workaholic he was, you always made sure he was getting the proper rest and breaks he needed. But even through all your care and effort he only seemed completely irritated by you.
- When you found out that Jason was still alive you felt both a sense of complete relief and happiness. Jason was alive! Your big brother was alive! When he returned to the manor you embraced him in a tight loving hug. Jason didn’t reciprocate, instead he knocked you to the ground with a hard punch. He lashed out against you, he hurt you. Along with throwing some cruel and brutal words to you. Bruce excused his outburst, saying that Jason went through a rough time and that you just should suck it up, and give Jason the time of day. After that, you kept a distance from Jason, you hoped that maybe with time he would come to his senses and return back into the caring older brother you knew. He never did.
- Then came Damian Wayne, your biological little brother, your tormentor. At first the news of you having a blood-brother thrilled you, you always wanted to be a big brother! You thought Damian was your chance to finally form a lasting loving bond. Oh how much of a fool you were to think that. Damian was arrogant, entitled, and impulsive. When he came to the manor he didn’t greet you with open arms,no, he greeted you with his katana’s stabbing into you. The others held him back as he kept shouting nonsense to you about how he was the “ true Wayne heir” and how “ there can only be one.” He seemed to get a rise out of making your life a miserable hell, he constantly reminded you of how you didn’t belong in the family, and how you were unworthy of the Wayne name.
- Barbra Gordon and you actually got along well at first, even though you two weren’t that close to each other you had a polite and mutual relationship with her. When she was attacked by the Joker and left paralyzed, you were devastated. You spent several days in the hospital with her to make sure she wasn’t alone. When she returned to the manor in a wheelchair, you were the first to come to her aid. Barbara on the other hand in return only gave you a rough shove to the ground along with some harsh words thrown your way.
- Stephanie Brown was optimistic and outgoing, that is what made you drawn to her, but even then she barely interacted with you. In fact, she seemed to completely forget about your existence from time to time. Whenever you do try to a least converse with her you are only greeted by her sarcasm along with passive-aggressive comments.
- You honestly didn’t know how to interact with Cassandra Cain at first. You didn’t know she was mute so when she came to the manor and you welcomed her, all she did was stare at you uncomfortably. Seeing how she struggled with reading, writing, and articulation, you tried to help her. Offering to teach and aid her with her illiteracy, but all Cassandra did was avoid you. No matter what you did she only wanted you to leave her alone. You even tried to teach her sigh language in hopes it would be more comfortable for her, but that also fell short.
- Finally Duke Thomas arrived at the manor, he was the only meta-human in the family so that really shacked things up. Duke was close to your age, so you two instantly hit it off. You and him would often make plans together, but they were often ruined as he was too busy with the rest of the family fawning and taking up all his attention to spend time with you.
- Despite all your hardships growing up with your ignorant family, you grew up into a compassionate, empathetic, gentle, and caring young man. To everyone else you were a kind and promising person, but deep down you were very, very lonely. There was a constant void in your chest that you just couldn’t shake off. You never felt a mother’s love, not a father’s support, nor the warmth of a family. You were completely and utterly alone.
- You knew that your family was non-other than the infamous family of vigilantes known as the batfamily. You weren’t stupid, it was completely obvious no matter how much they tried to hide it from you. You didn’t say a word about how you knew they’re not-so-secret identities, no, you allowed them to entertain the idea that you knew nothing about their alternative lives as Gotham’s protectors.
- You continued to live an ordinary life as a normal Gotham citizen. Pushed aside by your siblings, ignored by your father unless you were in trouble, and tormented by your brat of a little brother. But then one day, something changed. Currently Damian was being his usual self towards you, belittling and insulting your entire existence, but you didn’t seem to mind, Damian seeing that his verbal tactics weren’t working on you, decided for a different approach, to attack you of course. You and Damian were now tumbling around on the floor as you tried to wrestle him off of you. You grabbed at his arm in an attempt to pull him off and then that was when you heard it, the sound of a bone breaking. You had broke Damian’s arm.
- The rest of the family heard the commotion and instantly came to the scene to find Damian on the ground groaning in pain with his badly broken arm. Your siblings and Alfred tended to Damian’s injury as Bruce scolded you harshly for “intentionally harming” your little brother. He ignored your apologies and your attempts to explain. He silenced you with a firm slap to the face as he forced you to go to your room as if you were a child and grounded you.
- Since that incident, you started to notice changes to your body you never had before. You were way physically stronger than before, able to break and bend things no ordinary human could, the scars of wounds that Damian inflicted on you were completely healed, you somehow grew more height and muscle in just a few short weeks, and you could see and sense things no other person could. You tried to tell Bruce and even your siblings, but they were completely dismissive of your concerns, thinking you were simply throwing another one of your “tantrums” and that you were simply attention-seeking.
- One day when you were walking home from the store, you took your usual shortcut through a run down alleyway. There had been many reports of brutal murders and disappearances going on in Gotham lately, as you can believe your family was more busier than ever because of this. As you turned the corner that’s when you came face to face with a horrific scene. A giant beastly creature with giant horns was feasting on what seemed to be a dead body, blood covered and stained everywhere. You were frozen in shock as you slowly attempted to step back quietly. Only for your foot to accidentally step on and break a glass bottle.
- The creature stopped its feasting at the noise of glass breaking. Freezing up for a moment before turning to face you. You didn’t even have time to react as the creature let out a demonic screech, it lunged out, you panicked as you raised up your arms to your face to shield yourself.
- A blinding light erupted from the ally, engulfing everything that surrounds. When you finally raised your arms down from your face and opened your eyes, you were greeted with the smell of smoke and the ally way being completely covered in a giant soot stain. The beast was nowhere in sight. You thought you were going crazy for a moment until the realization hit you, you had completely eradicated the beast from existence. While you were trying to comprehend it all you felt something moving on your back, along with seeing some feathers scattered around you. You turned around to be greeted with the sight of giant angelic-like wings on your back. Wings. YOU HAD WINGS.
- You managed to compose yourself and spent the next hour trying to make the wings disappear. By the time you got back home to the manor, everybody else was gone leaving only Alfred in your wake. You greeted Alfred with a believable excuse for why you were out for so long and immediately went to your room. You spent the next few days deep diving into research to figure out what exactly was that thing. You soon found your answer. That thing in the ally way was non-other than a demon. Malevolent creatures that inhabited the dimension known as hell. Apparently they could only go into the mortal realm unless they are summoned, possess human hosts, or by magical tears and portals between dimensions.
- You had a strong hypothesis that maybe these creatures were responsible for the missing people and murder cases going around Gotham. At first you thought about telling Bruce about your discovery, but then you stopped yourself. You knew Bruce would never going believe you. He never did. But you knew something had to stop these things and if the Batman nor the batfamily couldn’t, maybe you could. And maybe by hunting these demonic beings down could lead you to the path of finding out what exactly you are. You knew your family wouldn’t mind. After all they never cared about where or what you were doing, right?
- You began to train yourself to better learn and control your powers. You taught yourself how to manifest your wings by will and fly, see and communicate with spirits and supernatural beings alike, manipulate and warp reality, develop your clairvoyance, moving objects with your mind through telekinesis, and even generate holy fire. You put your abilities to the test against the demons you exorcised and killed. You had so many close encounters with death to the point that it was countless. Soon hunting down demons became your full-time job, but of course you always made sure to make it to the manor in time in order not to make Alfred worry.
- You soon decided to dawn an outfit of your own to your crusade of demon hunting. Nothing more than a simple fancy cloak with a hood to conceal your identity and along with some enchanted armor you created you wore underneath hidden by your cloak. You didn’t give yourself a superhero name or a title, no, you felt it was not necessary. The people of Gotham began to notice you, the angelic figure that saved the innocents from the demonic creatures that had damned their city. Many said you were an hero, many said you were an angel. That is how you earned your title, “ The angel of Gotham” they called you.
- You not only had gotten the favor of Gotham and its citizens, but it’s villains too. You sympathized with them as these mob bosses, criminals, and convicts were once ordinary people who were shunned and neglected by society. Deep down you saw the good they were capable of and wanted to help them find redemption. Many were baffled, others were amused, and most of them were caught off guard by your presence. You treated them all with more kindness, compassion, and understanding than the Batman nor his sidekicks ever did. Not to mention you had saved them multiple times from demons so they owed it to you. You learned many things from them, Selina Kyle showed you to hon your acrobatics and agility, Harvey Dent taught you how to strategize, Bane trained you in hand-to-hand combat, Scarecrow educated you in psychology and biochemistry, The Riddler helped you master deduction, and Mr Freeze educated you in mechanical engineering and and medical science.
- You even started to hunt down demons outside of Gotham. And that’s how you ran into him, John Constantine. The British warlock, occult detective, and con man himself! You met him when you tracked down a demon to London and he helped you banish it back to hell. He knew you were something special as he could tell you weren’t entirely human. In fact, he was the one who confirmed your heritage as a human- angel hybrid, a nephilim according to him. Ever since then you two started to work together from time to time. John became sort of a mentor towards you, as he introduced you deeper into the knowledge of magic and the supernatural world. Although he wouldn’t say it outright, he took quite the liking to you. It was nice to have some company around along with some help in his job. The magic detective had formed quite the soft spot towards you, no matter how much he tried to deny it.
- To you, your life seemed to be getting better and better. That cold manor nor your ignorant family did not defy you anymore. You felt free, happy, proud, and content with yourself. Little did you know, your family noticed. You didn’t know when they started to care, but you could see the signs. Bruce all of a sudden became attentive to you, interested in your daily life as if he always was. Dick wanted to hang out with you as your big brother. Jason acted like the cool older brother you once knew, Tim became interested in bonding you with you and missed your care. Barbra, Stephanie, and Cassandra being very attentive of you. Damian, your demon brother was reduced to a desperate child that wanted his older brother’s attention. Duke all of a sudden had all this time to spend with you.
- To anybody else, your family became very loving and affectionate to you. But you saw it, the growing desperation and obsession in their eyes. You sensed the guilt and shame radiating off of them. It was suffocating. They didn’t know it was all too late for them, they regrets and shame did not matter now. For you were free. Free to carve your own destiny in this world and beyond. They could try all they want to stop you. But you refuse to let them clip your wings.

Malleus would love the various nicknames you came up with for him. He would cherish each one and hold them close to his heart. You are the only one with the right to call him by playful names.
Malleus doesn't even realize how accustomed he has become to the nicknames you give him until you call him by his real name. It would likely be an accident, but it would unsettle Malleus more than he cares to admit.
Just keep calling him by his nicknames. To everyone else, he is Malleus, but he always wants to be Hornton to you.
cw | fluff, gn! reader (just heavily inspired by replay by shinee), reader's older, its implied they have mutual feelings for each others, crack, the age gap is two years, the reader is the prefect, not proofread, could be ooc (do not put my work into ai)
ACE had long since made himself comfortable in Ramshackle, sprawled across your sofa with his shoes kicked off while you sorted through a pile of assignments at the dining table.
"Ugh, Ace, please clean up your mess!"
"I'll do it later"
You glanced at him, watching him play his stupid games on his phone "Would it kill you to just clean up your mess that you made?" You flicked his papers.
"Yes, yes, it would kill me, prefect!"
He continued playing, too focused on beating his high score.
You sighed, grumbling about how unhelpful he is. You two were kind of behind a topic that Trein had asked you both to please cover it before the next class.
So because you were the ever so kind prefect, you asked Ace if he wanted to crash at your place and study there instead.
Oh boy, what a bad idea it was.
Instead of actually studying, he somehow roped you into playing this game with him and it got you addicted, to the point you both played till 2am.
Never are you ever gonna let Ace drag you into playing games again.
Minutes passed and Ace finally got up to clean his mess up. You looked at him and sighed "You can be such a kid sometimes" Ace turned his head so quick that you swore that it would've cracked but it didn't.
"Hahh?! Don't call me that!"
"Why not? I mean you are a kid"
Ace's cheeks turned red "Y-Yeah, but don't call me that! We are the same age!" You giggled "No, we aren't. I'm older than you by 2 years, silly" You flicked his forehead to which he rubbed it, pouting.
"That doesn't make me a kid"
"It kind of does"
"No, it doesn't!"
You laughed and went back to organizing the scattered notes across the table. "Ace, you literally spent thirty minutes trying to convince me to spend our study session helping you unlock a new skin in your game."
"And you agreed."
"...That is beside the point."
He huffed, stuffing a handful of papers into a messy pile. "You're acting like you're thirty"
"Because I am older than you"
"By TWOOO years!"
"Still older" You let out a giggle.
Ace groaned so loudly Grim yelled from upstairs for the two of you to shut up.
You ignored him, smiling to yourself. "Honestly, having you around feels like dealing with a younger brother."
"Don't call me that either!"
You looked up at him, tilting your head "Younger brother...?" You say, confused why he's so distraught.
"Y-Yeah that! I'm not your younger brother!" You blinked as he protested then you laughed "But you do act like my younger brother" Ace glared at you like as if you committed the most atrocious crime ever.
"No, I don't!"
"Yes, yes, you do"
"No, I don't!"
You chuckled "Oh come on, Ace, you are always getting us in trouble, you take food from me, you leave your things everywhere, you rope me into your schemes, and somehow I always end up cleaning up after you."
You pointed at the scattered notes still littering the coffee table. "Case in point."
"That's not little brother behavior!"
"It absolutely is."
"It is not!"
"It really is."
Ace threw his hands into the air in exasperation "You make me sound like I'm ten!"
"Not ten..." You pretended to think for a moment, tapping your chin. "...Maybe twelve."
You giggled "Why are you so distraught anyways?" You crossed your arms, staring at him, head a little tilted and he swears you are the most beautiful, gorgeous, pretty, cute, stunning person ever.
He hesitated for half a second before blurting out "I don't want you looking at me like that" You blinked "Like what...?"
"Like I'm just some kid"
His voice was quieter now, lacking the usual playful sarcasm. You stared at him for a moment before you felt your cheeks warm up.
"I mean it."
He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, avoiding your gaze "...Just... stop calling me your younger brother" The room fell quiet.
Ace knows you don't date younger guys like him, he accidentally eavesdropped your conversation with Grim once.
At first, Ace laughed it off.
Because, seriously. It was just a two year age gap.
But every time he caught you ruffling his hair, scolding him for leaving a mess behind, or sighing because he had somehow dragged you into another ridiculous situation, he started to understand why you saw him that way.
You saw him as someone who needed to be taken care of.
Someone younger. Someone you could tease and take care of.
Like a little brother.
And that bothered him more than he wanted to admit.
He thought that maybe if he begged to the sevens hard enough they would give him a chance to be with you!
At least, that's what he hoped for.
Deep down, Ace had hoped that eventually one day, you would stop seeing him as this immature, trouble making, younger brother. He wanted you to see him as someone who could stand beside you.
Someone who could make you laugh, annoy you, and maybe even make your heart race the same way his did whenever you smiled at him.
God, would he do anything for you to not see him as a kid or a younger brother.
You were helping DEUCE with his homework at the school's courtyard, a little further away tho from anyone's eyes.
Which you thought was a good idea, so that Deuce could focus more.
He was struggling on one of the questions and texted you after he was finished with all of his classes.
You were both laying on the grass with a little picnic cloth to lay on. You point at the questions he was confused with.
"Alright so, for this one, don't start with the formula straight away." You scooted a little closer, tapping the question with the end of your pencil. "Read what it's actually asking first."
Deuce nodded earnestly, his brows furrowed in concentration as he followed along "So... I should find the value here first?"
"Mhm."
"And then substitute it?"
"There you go."
"Oh..."
His eyes lit up "I get it now!" You chuckled "I knew you would" You ruffled his hair and couldn't help yourself but smile as he quickly scribbled down the rest of the solution, his handwriting growing neater the more confident he became.
"There!" Deuce set his pencil down with a relieved sigh "I would've been stuck on that forever"
"See! I knew you could do it"
Deuce's shoulder slouched "Yeah...but only after you helped me" You sighed, sitting up.
"Deuce, don't worry, you are pretty smart, you know that?" Deuce rubbed his nape "I guess..." You looked at him softly before reaching over to pat his head.
His hair was a little messy from lying on the grass, and you smoothed a few strands back into place.
"Don't sell yourself short" You said gently "You've improved so much since we first met. You work hard, you don't give up, and even when something's difficult, you keep trying until you understand it"
Deuce's cheeks warmed ever so slightly "...You really think so?"
"I know so."
A small, bashful smile tugged at his lips before he looked away, embarrassed by the praise.
"...Thanks"
You smiled back.
"I mean it. Sometimes you remind me of a little brother who's trying his absolute best"
The smile vanished from his face.
"...A little brother?"
"Hm?"
"You... think of me like that?"
You blinked, confused by the question.
"I mean, you're younger than me, and you're always asking me for help with homework or coming to Ramshackle whenever you're stuck with something" You laughed softly "It kind of feels like looking after a younger brother"
Deuce's shoulders stiffened "...Could you not call me that?"
You tilted your head "Not call you what?"
"...Your younger brother" His answer came almost immediately "I don't really... like hearing that" Deuce looked away "...Why?"
Deuce hesitated, his fingers tightening around the edge of his notebook "...I just don't" He couldn't bring himself to meet your eyes "It feels... weird"
You blinked, watching the tips of his ears slowly turn pink.
"But you are younger"
"I know"
"So I don't see what's so—"
"I just..." He let out a quiet sigh before mumbling under his breath, "...I don't want you seeing me that way"
There was something so earnest in the way he said it that it caught you completely off guard.
For a moment, neither of you spoke.
Deuce knows you don't date younger guys like him. He heard it once when you were talking with Grim. He didn't mean to listen, but once he heard those words, they stuck with him.
At first, he thought maybe he just needed to work harder. Become stronger. Become more reliable. Become someone you could look at and think of as an equal instead of someone you needed to take care of.
After all, isn't that what he always wanted? To stop being the delinquent everyone expected him to be and become someone people could trust?
But there was one thing he couldn't accept.
Being called your little brother.
He didn't want to be someone you worried about, someone you had to guide or look after. He wanted to be someone who could stand beside you, someone who could protect you just as much as you protected him.
Not your younger brother.
Not someone you had to take care of.
But someone who could make you smile, someone you could rely on.
yan! twisted wonderland 〖normalized yandere au〗 x gn! reader─you always had absolutely rotten luck in love. instead of the happily ever after you dreamt of in fairy tales, every relationship you had often ended on a bad note. when tossed into the world where love was prioritized, you prayed your misfortune wouldn't get in the way. wait, but how were you supposed to choose!?
⤷ 𖹭゛𝓔𝓥𝓔𝓡 ˎˊ˗
since you were as small as the twinkles in the sky, you harboured a deep fascination with the fairy tales your mother told before bedtime. the sweet promises of a happily-ever-after, shrouded in eternal love during the sunset, never failed to coax you into restful sleeps, where you were surrounded by mountains of confessions.
they never came, those childhood dreams, as time gradually eroded the wounds in your heart from the sudden passing of your family. they classified it as an accident; a car crash happened due to the downpour and the darkness of the night. your father, who would buy you books after returning from his business trips, and your mother, who would tug you into bed, had died that day. people who your little mind assumed were untouchable, invincible, the pillars of your world, had been squashed into puddles of blood for one clumsy mistake.
the funeral was grand, crowded with figures you didn't know, hushed whispers that didn't escape your ears, and judgmental glances that were needlessly cruel to a child. a bad omen, they muttered under their breath, for how else could you manage to recover from your illness after they had passed away so suddenly? for what reason would they rush to the hospital during extremely terrible weather, if not for their bedridden child whose condition was said to have worsened overnight? they didn't hide it, not when your head hung low at the caskets, hands gripped the already withered white lilies.
the man who adopted you was cold and distant. he provided you with enough materials for a growing child, never yelled at you whenever you did something out of line, and never read stories for you. the estranged brother of your mother, the maids had informed you, had only taken up this newfound burden because of his love for his sister, even though it had been years since they last talked. his heart stopped there, long before the day your mother died, and completely closed to you. you wondered what it was like to live when one had died inside, a walking corpse among humans, as you strolled around the empty mansion, passing through the gossiping maids.
perhaps the lack of warmth fueled the inexplicable link you had to your trivial fantasies, the desperation in seeking another presence to complete your unwhole being. you changed, not vastly, to embrace the virtues of the main characters from your childhood, striving to perfect every aspect of your life, from your demeanor to your social circle. each and all of it was cultivated neatly, like a dedicated artist towards their craft, to fit yourself effortlessly into the confusing mold of the world. despite your effort, luck was not in your favor: romance came and went, as fleeting as the sands slipping through your fingers. your grip was always too weak to cling to them, as your eyes landed on that same familiar sight of their backs.
the excuses varied widely, though they could be summarized into a few contrasting words. you were too overwhelming, one stated, too careless, another remarked, too emotional, they told you, and too apathetic, they surmised. it was never enough for them; you were never enough for them. but you never blamed your partners, for it was obvious to you why they would say so. after all, you were bad news, only capable of bringing bad luck to everyone around you. you tried, and tried again, like that child in the manor near the coastal sea, to perfect yourself. flaws people said were there were weeded out mercilessly overnight, a room full of clothes that allowed you to change your fashion swiftly when your current relationship demanded it.
no matter your efforts, the tribulations you experienced while getting to know your partners more intimately, all of your love lines ended with melancholy. sometimes, there were ones kind enough to admit all the faults in the relationship belonged to them, but you knew better than to be fooled by those silly notions. you were determined to be the flawless protagonist in fairy tales and get that happily-ever-after you spent your whole life chasing. it was your deepest endeavour, something you couldn't let go even if the eyes were looking at you with pity.
"stubborness is hereditary." was what your uncle said.
you could stare at his back all day long.
"i think we should break up."
".....what." you curtly responded, eyes stopped at the straw of your smoothie that came into your vision. your smile must have strained, for your partner regarded you with caution, choosing their words carefully. it was supposed to be normal for you, but it was your first anniversary with them, in your favorite spot to dine, and wearing your favorite outfit.
"i don't think we can work this out! you are just...." those words again, every time, without a stutter, they were spat into your face ruthlessly. you sat up abruptly, feeling your ears ringing with the sound of your heartbeats as you rushed out from the cafe. you couldn't handle this, regardless of how many times you had experienced it. your clutch against your collar tightened, gloved hands wanting nothing more than to claw the organ responsible for the pumping in your veins out.
you loathed how hopeless romantic you were, dreaming of an unreachable ending that was not written for your ill fate. you would die alone, like a corpse, like your uncle, with a heartbeat for no other reason than survival. panting breathlessly as a poor attempt to regain your composure after minutes of running down the roads, you failed to react accordingly to the horses coming at you.
everything turned black.
"𝐢 𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭 𝐦𝐲 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞."
the winds kissed you awake. playfully gentle and chaste, they helped your eyes open quietly. the first sensation you registered was the utter comfort cushioning you, a feeling you felt whenever you would lie in your bed, squealing at the prospect of a valentine. your line of vision was obstructed by something, and when your hands instinctively reached up, you were met with soft fabric. it reminded you of simpler times, when clothes were loose on you, enough to let you wander around the house with the little strength you had. how noltasgic, but nonetheless, peculiar, as moments ago, you were walking through the streets like a lost deer. the place you were standing in, after taking a brief look around your surroundings with the hood off, was unfamiliar, from the gardening techniques to the architectural structures. everything about it screamed of danger, the kind that instincts would warn you about when you tread into an unknown realm.
your eyes were drawn to the well nearby, fingers traced against the rough surface of the bricks. what a wonderous, considering these things had mostly been extinct in large cities. to see a well here must have meant the place you were transported to was antique to an extent. curiosity tugged your upper half to lean into the seemingly pitless abyss of it, almost falling of the ledge if not for a strange voice behind you.
"be careful, child of man." you jolted up, sighing in relief not to have landed on the ground clumsily. turning around to thank your savior, you could feel the growing thumping of your heart. you had seen many models before, plastered on the fashion magazines piling up in your room and yet, the beauty of this silhoutte was simply otherwordly. your hands clasped, a sudden nervousness stuck on the tip of your tongue as your eyes darted onto the ground. it was unfair, for the world to toss such an elegance in your face after a horrible break-up. and you had already ruined your chance, with how long you took to speak up.
"....your eyes are really pretty..." both of you seemed surprised at your words, with you wishing to jump into that well again. the alluring embrace of the robes turned into a smothering hug that raised your temperature at his chuckle. this must be a dream, a wondrous imagination your mind deliberately painted to soothe your sadness, for there was no normal human you had met that had horns.
you didn't want to wake up, not right away anyways.
"i'm sorry! it's rude of me!" you waved your hands, though your heart slowed down when you heard another chuckle. he found your state amusing, not offensive.
"you did not offend me, child of man. in fact, i admire your fearlessness." your eyes were blinded by his smile, fingers itching to cover your face from it. this was the most complex dream your mind had graced you with.
"may i have the honor to be bestowed with your name?" the handsome man asked for your name first! what's next? you would be married to him amidst the cheerful tolling of the bell as the sky was spilled with the warm orange of dusk?
"uh....my name is-"
"ah, i've found you at last!" your words were interrupted rudely by the grating voice of another stranger. the alarm in your body immediately went off, from the weird outfit he donned to the bright yellow circles that locked onto you. observing, he was doing so, as though you were a lost trinket that had escaped his collection.
"i understand you first year's excitement to explore the school!" he shook his head. "but for you to loll around with.....MR. DRACONIA!?"
what a weird dream, was what your final thought as a sudden exhaustion overtook your mind.

wouldn't consider himself forgetful. however, important ceremonies slipped his mind at times, as he would rely on invitations rather than keeping a neat schedule. the dragon fae would have absolutely fumed at the headmage for daring to forget to invite him to such an important occasion, had the odd human who had complimented him not been slumping against his shoulders. he ignored the fumbling apologies from crowley and instead fixed his eyes on your sleeping form.
it reminded him of silver, and his habit of falling asleep everywhere. except, instead of looking peaceful, your face was contorted into that of clear distress, beads of sweat rolled down from your forehead. it pained him to see the early airheaded human be reduced to this state.
"i offer you my sincerest apologies, mr. draconia! it was a mere oversight from the school." crowley continued on, not long before he stopped at the sight in front of him. ah! young love! he was so glad to still be alive to witness such a thing.
"well, it seems like the new student does require some assistance to be carried to the orientation ceremony. however, my poor, frail bones cannot serve me like before..." he tried to conceal his smirk when you were tossed into malleus' embrace. for his school would be the place where the future ruler of briar valley wound find love was a massive honor.

sight, according to the fragments of gossiping you would later collect during your attendance, was nothing short of scandalous. the housewarden of diasomnia, who was once again forgotten to be invited, entered the blazing orientation with a human sleeping contentedly in his arms. the diasomnia members reacted with the most mirth, with sebek almost fainting to the ground, lilia laughing as though this were the most hilarious thing he had witnessed in centuries, and silver seemingly dissociating. even when he awoke you from your little nap, he did it with such gentleness it left the whole room in silence, despite the ongoing fire hazard.
"stop poking me...." you huffed, still in the haze of your slumber, though that soon evaporated upon the heat of the room. jumping from malleus, an action which saddened him so, your eyes widened at the blue fires dancing everywhere.
"oh god! someone-" and before you could even finish the sentence, the disaster had already been stopped by the fae's magic. when the inkling that this was your new reality started pitter-pattering in your stomach, the mirror in front of you had spoken.
"state your name." the absurd mask appeared in green flames, at which you squinted.
"[name]..." was that too short? "....[name] gallumbe."
"the nature of your soul is...."
"...."
"...."
"...."
"destructive."
fuck this mirror for ruining your dream.

After Grandma takes in an abandoned baby Malleus has to grow used to his new sibling
Malleus stood over your crib as you slept, glaring in silence save for your soft snores and coos wondering why everyone seems to love you so much. His noses crinkled, all you did was cry, eat, sleep, and make messes that the castle staff had to clean much like silver did but at least he was cute you were just this writhing slightly red lump of flesh, your pointed ears were the only physical thing showing you were fae. It seems that his glaring had disturbed your sleep as your eyes flew open, your (eye color) eyes met his piercing green ones his sharp gaze causes your bottom lip to wobble as you started to cry, the high pitched sound makes him flinch back as he slowly stepped back as a staff member quickly entered the room to soothe you back to sleep while cooing over how cute you were. Malleus’s brows furrowed, when he cried or got upset, comfort was always about making sure his emotions didn't cause weather related damages to the kingdom and lightning storms while you were comforted simply because they hated seeing you sad…. It wasn't fair. He wants that to. Watching the worker soothe you back to sleep he turned to leave only to see his grandmother standing in the door frame no doubtably coming to see what upset you, “Malleus, what are you doing?” She questioned “Nothing grandmother, just looking at the little beast.” He answered, slightly upset and still glaring at you as you finally settled back down. Sighing his grandma led him back to his room “One day you will grow to love her/him/them and you will look back at days like this and laugh at how you felt.” she informed him but he didn't really believe it, as he settled in bed he waited for grandmother to leave before muttering “At least silver was cute, she/he/they are just a writhing bag of flesh that cries a lot.” As he fell asleep.
As time passed he slowly grew used to your constant presence, he had to, despite the senate's hesitation you are still a Draconia sure it wasn't by blood but once you were taken in it was made clear you would always be a Draconia. As Malleus walked through the hallway, book in hand, he came across you, the ripe age of 1 ½ in human years, toddling about babbling to no one about all kinds of things and immediately lighting up at the sight of your big brother before stumbling up to him and raising your arms up at him opening and closing your hands demanding “up up” he fought back a sneer “no, no little beast. I don't like children, go bother someone else.” He lightly shoved your back, trying to guide you to someone else who actually liked dealing with you however the rejection of your older brother caused your bottom lip to tremble as your breath started hitching, eyes growing glossy, hating the high pitched wails you could make he quickly dropped the book and picked you up as you immediately calmed down and started giggling and exploring your brothers face. As you squeezed at his cheek and nose he sighed and glared “I hate you, little beast.” he snarled at you however you didn't care about his words as you placed a wet slobbery kiss on his cheek as he cringed in disgust and held you out far from his body as he heard someone laughing ”It seems she likes you, my prince.” a maid said as she took you out of Malleus's hands, looking over her shoulder you waved bye to Malleus saying “Bye bye.”
A few hours had passed and Malleus had finally settled down to read his book, just as things got interesting Malleus heard you stumbling in. Looking up from his book he saw you fall right on your butt before you started crawling over to him and sitting right in front of him on the floor, “book!” You exclaimed proudly, “.... Yes, it's a book, little beast.” Malleus confirmed, albeit confused as you pointed at the book then yourself “Book!” Now he's confused about what you want, he tried handing you the book but you yelled “No!” Until he eventually figured out you wanted him to read it to you. Eventually he grew tired of your demands, picked you up, put you in his lap a read to you eventually your eyes grew heavy and you fell asleep in his arms as he continued to read until he too fell asleep, hours passed and eventually Grandmother had found the two of you cuddled in a chair fast asleep the scene caused a smile to appear on her lips as she turned to leave. This was just the start. Before anyone knew it Malleus was walking around with you in his arms talking about gargoyles while you didn't understand what he was talking about you liked babbling with him, for someone who used to hate holding you he suddenly wouldn't let anyone else pick you up when a caretaker came to put you down for your nap Malleus insisted you could sleep in his arms. “My prince, the princess/prince/baby (couldn't think of a gender neutral term that works in this sentence sorry) needs a nap. Let me take them.” “No, no it's okay. I have beasty, they can sleep while I carry them.” Malleus would insist, eventually a compromise was made: he'd carry you to your crib and they'd put you in it while he talked you to sleep.
As the years passed Malleus looks back at his initial hatred of you and cringes in embarrassment, he can't believe that he used to hate his beloved little sister/brother/sibling and his grandmother and Lilia tease him all the time. When he says something about never being able to hate you Lilia brings up how he used to have a permanent scowl every time he saw you. If he says he never wants to scare you, grandmother will bring up how he used to hiss at you trying to scare you off. Even you tease him occasionally, he loves to spend time with you and every now and again you'll say something like “And to think you used to hate me.” while Malleus cringes at his child self while you laugh at the face he makes. Your nickname has shifted from little beast to beasty, just a small reminder of what he used to consider you and how it became a name of affection after he got over having a sibling, so while it took some time he grew to love having a sibling and now can't imagine losing you.
Hii, i had request, can you do haru urara!reader x twisted wonderland, I just hope if you find time to making it..?

When they first arrived they were pretty confused because they have no idea where they are and strange people in robes are in one dark room
A lot of people wonder how did they get to this much energy it was almost the same level as kailm
Whenever kalim and haruyuu hang out together the student is needed to prepare wearing sunglasses because they're going to be blind after seeing two sunshines together
jack and haruyuu became close friends like they go train together jack helping them become a little bit more faster haruyuu was just happy to be there even sometimes going on a morning jog with him and vil well if they manage to get up
Since they don't know makeup vil would teach them makeup foundation and even schedules them a simple routine because he knows they're going to miss a few of those steps
Vil doesn't understand how haruyuu always stayed so happy during races despite getting last place every time and did not winning but in a way he did had a little bit of respect towards it knowing they'll keep doing their best and don't let your failures be your weakness
Rook was interested in their species and sometimes ask questions about in their world's racing school or just observe them from afar
Haruyuu joins the track club having fun racing with the others even though they kind of do end up in last place but tries their best
Sometimes they will go to magic spell shifts game events and cheering on for the team basically beginning their own little cheerleader or motivational
Haruyuu when anyone was feeling down they would always try the cheer them up usually giving them snacks or try to be a good listener
Oftenly they wanted to pet Leona ears but knowing they will get in trouble or he wouldn't even let them try but they still think about it
Haruyuu likes going to trein class because not only he doesn't mind tutoring them but also sometimes he would let them take care of their cat when he had a staff meeting
A lot of people think haruyuu definitely belongs in Royal sword academy but that's not going to happen because they need to get their own horse person
Malleus actually enjoyed haruyuu company because never once they were never bothered by his lack of power and by his appearance and treat him like they do for their other friends
Floyd wanted to call them seahorse but he calls them axolotl not only for their pink hair but also they're technically the most happiest sea creatures
One time when riddle, sebek and silver saw them in the distance near The stables talking to the horses and the horses kind of understanding them somehow which they didn't know if it was a half horse thing they can do but they were just confused
Idia for some reason kind of feels comfortable with haruyuu so sometimes they awfully did spoke mostly they were doing the talking which idia somehow didn't mind and even shared some of his interest
Haruyuu likes coming over too heartslabyul for the unbirthday tea parties with riddle and on some occasions when they do come over to the dorm riddle sometimes tutoring them
