It’s quite ironic that the individual whom so many admire is captivated by someone seemingly ordinary. Someone who wields no magic, someone who came from another world. Yet, even amidst a crowd of enchanting figures, the prefect possesses a unique allure that draws people in. It’s not merely about their appearance; it’s the intricate, otherworldly presence that radiates from them.
Vil is well aware of this, which is why he halted in his tracks upon unexpectedly encountering the prefect wandering through the empty halls of Night Raven College.
Club activities began shortly after classes were dismissed a little while ago. The weather remains warm and sunny, with the gentle rustling of leaves outside the college creating a soothing backdrop. The warm, golden light streaming through the large arched windows adds a cinematic touch to the atmosphere, making it an ideal time to be outdoors, at least for now.
Although Vil didn’t have any club engagements this day, he had matters to address, just like the prefect, who had just concluded a conversation with the school’s faculty. A victorious smile spread across Vil’s face at the perfect opportunity to be alone with the person he sought attention from.
"What a pleasant surprise to run into you, prefect. Thought you'd be back in your dorm by now." He maintains a soft, soothing voice as he makes sure to charm the prefect. They respond with their warmest smile.
“I wanted to discuss the potion class assignment with Crewel just a moment ago. I’m guessing that you don’t have any club activities today.” Schoenheit gazes affectionately at them, his eyes gradually drifting down to their slightly loosened necktie.
Every time they turn the lights down
They flinch a little at the unexpected closeness he brings, adjusting their necktie with a warm smile. “Ah, the ever-diligent student," Vil teases gently, his eyes twinkling with a mix of admiration and mischief. "It's good to see someone taking their studies seriously. But I must confess, I’m quite relieved our paths crossed today." He adds some sultriness to his voice to make himself even more charming, as if he wasn't already.
Just wanna go that extra mile for you
The prefect tilts their head curiously, prompting Vil to continue. "You see," he begins, a hint of vulnerability threading through his typically composed demeanor, "there's something about your presence that’s... refreshing. Perhaps it’s the way you carry yourself, or the sincerity in your eyes. In a world where appearances often overshadow substance, you remind me that there’s more to see beyond the surface."
Public display of affection
The prefect, taken aback by his candid admission, feels a flush of warmth rise to their cheeks. "Thank you, Vil. That means a lot coming from someone like you," they reply earnestly. With his eyes subtly darkening the longer he stares at their visage, the more he craves them. His gaze intensifies, as if he's memorizing every detail of their expression.
Feels like no one else in the room (but you)
Vil's smile widens, though a certain intensity lingers beneath his charming exterior. "You know," he murmurs, stepping just a fraction closer, "it's rare for me to find someone who captivates me so thoroughly. Your presence is like a melody I can't seem to forget." His voice lowers, a whisper meant only for them, as if the very air around them held secrets meant only for their ears. The prefect simply smiles, unaware of the intensity of emotions Schoenheit feels underneath the surface. But ignorance is bliss.
While the two are preoccupied with each other, they remain oblivious to the footsteps approaching from behind the prefect. Leona, who has just woken up from a nap in the school's botanical garden, is on his way to the Hall of Mirrors when he unexpectedly encounters the prefect standing too close to another man. He walks in his usual weary manner, but as he notices the unfolding scene, he lifts his head, eyes wide, for a split second. With furrowed brows, he quickens his pace and abruptly pulls the prefect close to his torso.
“Hey, what’s going on here?” Vil's mood sours the moment Leona arrives. With his arms crossed in disapproval, he reflects a sense of disappointment.
Leona's presence seems to cast a shadow over the moment, causing an awkward tension to hang in the air. The prefect, caught off guard by the sudden shift in dynamics, glances between the two, unsure of how to diffuse the situation.
“We were simply discussing some... school matters. It's none of your business.” Vil retorts sharply, his voice laced with irritation. He uncrosses his arms, attempting to regain his composure, but the tension is palpable.
Leona, however, is not easily swayed. He leans slightly forward, his gaze unwavering. “Discussing school matters? Really?” he questions, his tone dripping with skepticism. The prefect shifts uncomfortably, feeling the weight of Leona's scrutiny.
It is quite clear that the two boys are at odds with one another, but there’s an underlying reason for their current hostility. This tension stems from their rivalry over the prefect they both admire. Leona, in particular, is reluctant to admit this in front of anyone else. However, Vil's possessive nature only escalates the situation. Neither of them is comfortable with the idea of their beloved paying attention to the other.
"It's okay, Leona. Vil wasn't doing anything bad to me," the prefect tries their best to ease the tension as both boys exchange hostile looks. But before anyone could utter another word, loud noises gradually filled the air. A throng of students flooded the hallway from various directions, with some coming from nearby classrooms and others returning from their designated club activities around the school grounds. It seems that the enthusiasm to head back to their dorms stems from the fact that today is Friday, which fuels their eagerness to welcome the weekend.
The crowd grew so dense that the area became cramped, with everyone hurriedly making their way back to their dorms. In this tight situation, both Schoenheit and Kingscholar found themselves pushed into the prefect. The prefect's back pressed against Leona's torso, while their front was flush into Vil's. A pair of hands was positioned on either side of their body, while another pair rested gently on their shoulders to hold them steady.
This close proximity caused the prefect to feel a wave of embarrassment, their face turning a bright shade of pink as they became acutely aware of the contrasting scents of perfume and body spray emanating from each boy.
It took a few more minutes for the hallway to clear completely, as the swarm of students hurried back to their dorms. Once only the trio remained, both Vil and Leona stepped away from the prefect to check on their well-being. Vil, always graceful and attentive, gently cupped the prefect's face, examining it closely to ensure they were okay. The prefect's previously flushed cheeks began to calm down.
“Prefect, are you okay? Are you injured anywhere?” he inquired, his face a blend of concern and gentleness as he cautiously examined their face. Meanwhile, Leona remained silent, observing the Pomefiore Housewarden’s actions. Watching everything unfold with irritation. When the prefect wasn’t looking, Vil shot a taunting look at the Prince, provoking him about his closeness to them. Leona shrugged and reached towards the prefect’s arm.
“Tch. That’s enough. Let’s just go.” Frustrated with the recent events, he firmly pulled the prefect along, leading them out of the school building toward the Ramshackle dorm. The prefect, bewildered by the sudden shift, could only follow. Kingscholar’s grip was not too tight, but it was strong enough to guide them along.
“You worthless prince!” Vil grumbled irritably, trailing behind as he still felt unsatisfied with the time he had alone with the prefect. He was also unwilling to allow the lion to be alone with them. Schoenheit needed to ensure he wouldn’t get ahead of him. However, as the trio made their way across the school grounds toward the Ramshackle dorm, they remained oblivious to the sky gradually turning grey.
₊˚✩彡
Entering the ramshackle dorm, Leona finally releases their hand and strides directly into the living room. He casually flops down onto the large sofa, lying sideways and using a pillow to support his head. Vil, still visibly annoyed, stands at the entrance to the living room, arms crossed in disapproval.
“Did you really have to drag them like that?” he asks, joining the prefect as they both watch the drowsy figure on the sofa. “Don’t you think this behavior is unacceptable, prefect?” The prefect can only respond with a sheepish smile, uncertain of how to handle the lion beastman. After all, it has become quite common for him to waltz into their dorm just to take a nap. “Honestly, this isn’t the first time. At this point, I’ve grown accustomed to it.”
A sudden clap of thunder jolts everyone in the room, catching them off guard. Through the windows, they notice the sky has turned a dark shade of grey, signaling the onset of a torrential downpour. The wind picks up, growing stronger, and the rain pours down heavily, making it impossible for anyone to venture outside. Amidst this chaos, hurried footsteps echo from the stairs, revealing Grim as he frantically rushes down, clearly startled awake by the storm.
“Henchman!” he exclaims, leaping into the prefect's arms and clinging tightly. “I was just taking a nap, and the weather was perfectly fine! The storm woke me—” He then notices two figures also trapped under the dormitory's roof. “What?! What are you two doing here??”
Vil nonchalantly looks away with a touch of sass, while Leona, having just closed his eyes moments before, remains silent. The prefect lets out a nervous laugh, attempting to ease the tension. “They walked me here. Um, does this mean you guys are stuck here for the night?”
Grim furrows his brow in confusion. “What? Don’t you all have some kind of teleportation magic? Can’t you just go back without getting drenched?”
Vil replies with a disinterested expression, “You’re mistaken, Grim. Only certain individuals possess that ability.”
“We’re not like that lizard, furball.” Even with his eyes closed, Leona is attentive to the conversation. An awkward silence follows, leaving the prefect feeling embarrassed, as they ponder whether it was incorrect to assume all housewardens had the ability to teleport.
"Haha... since my bed is too small for two or even more people, I guess I'll grab some preparations from upstairs. But I only got some of Ace's and Deuce's clothes in my room, and I don't know if you guys would fit mine so...." At the names they dropped, both Vil and Leona, with one of his eyes open, shot the prefect a questioning look.
"Ace?"
"Deuce?"
"Oh, both of them were here just not long ago. We slept together in the living room too. They left their clothes here in case something similar happens again."
It suddenly struck them that a very similar situation had occurred with Ace and Deuce. At least the prefect had felt at ease with them; this situation, however, is entirely different. Unbeknownst to the prefect, both housewardens tense up at the mention of them sharing a space with those two troublemakers from Heartslabyul. Their expressions darken, clearly displeased by this information. Vil lets out a deep sigh.
“So Rook was right…” Vil’s mind races with an influx of thoughts, while the prefect looks at him, puzzled by his remark.
“R-Rook…?” Vil quickly grasps their shoulders, startling them with the sudden touch. He gazes at them with an affectionate look, almost resembling a pleading puppy, and asks, “But you’ll stay with me too, right, prefect? You can’t just leave me alone with him.” Leona simply returns to closing his eyes, while the prefect feels a bead of sweat trickle down.
“Yes... I will be with you both, don’t worry. I wouldn’t want to sleep alone in this weather anyway.” They gently release Vil’s hands and turn away, saying, “Grim and I are going to grab the pillows and blankets. We’ll be back before you know it.”
₊˚✩彡
A knock echoes from the door of the prefect's room. At that moment, they stand before their open wardrobe, contemplating which clothing to lend the two housewardens for the night. Promptly, they call out to the person outside to enter. The door swings open to reveal Leona, wearing his signature nonchalant expression.
"You’re taking so long," he remarks softly as he closes the door behind him.
"Sorry, I just can’t decide what clothes to lend you for tonight." Leona's gaze falls on a folded shirt on the bed, and he strides over to it. Panic sets in for the prefect.
"Wait! That’s—"
It’s an oversized, cozy shirt they purchased during a weekend adventure in downtown Sage's Island. Designed for a relaxed fit, it’s a one-size-fits-all piece they enjoyed wearing the night before and hadn’t washed yet because they intended to wear it again. But before they can intervene, Leona snatches it up.
"I know, and I’m perfectly fine with it." The prefect drops their hand in resignation, watching in silence as the lion beastman continues. Unexpectedly, he begins to unbutton his vest, letting it fall onto the bed. The prefect opens their mouth to ask what he’s doing but stops, caught off guard.
Next, he reaches for the top button of his shirt, locking eyes with them. With a playful glint in his eye, he slowly unbuttons, creating palpable tension in the air. The prefect’s heartbeat quickens, yet they remain silent, unsure of how to react.
Cameras are flashing
Leona continues unbuttoning until he reaches the middle of his torso; with the collar of his shirt falling to one side, revealing a glimpse of his muscular chest. His smile broadens as the prefect struggles to decide whether to maintain eye contact or sneak a glimpse at his physique. At that moment, they felt compelled to remain watching. And the lion is clearly enjoying the moment. Finally, as he discards his shirt, the room seems to shrink, drawing them into an intimate world where nothing else exists but the two of them. Unveiling his chiseled torso under the warm glow of the room's lighting.
They keep watching
Leona's leisurely pace is both a tease and a torment, his gaze fixed on them with a promise that stirs something deep within. The prefect feels a bead of sweat trickle down their neck, despite the chilly atmosphere created by the rain. He slips his arms into the oversized shirt, quickly inhaling the scent of the fabric that belonged to the prefect the previous night. He buttons the shirt from the bottom to the top, leaving a few buttons undone at the collar. As his hands rest on the waistband of his slacks, he suddenly halts.
Keep watching
Leona's eyes never waver from the prefect, his expression a mixture of mischief and something more intense, something almost too complex for them to grasp. “Oops, don’t be greedy,” he remarks. The prefect instinctively turns away, their face burning bright red like a tomato. Leona can't help but smile, relishing the moment he caught them off guard. He strides over to the pile of pillows and blankets they had gathered earlier in the center of the room and picks them up.
“I’m taking these with me,” he declares, before exiting the room, leaving the prefect to regain their composure. As the blush fades, they glance back at the emptiness left behind and give their own face a brisk slap to dispel the confusing thoughts swirling in their mind.
“Argh, focus, [name].”
₊˚✩彡
As the prefect descends the stairs from the second floor, they notice that all the furniture has been moved aside. A makeshift bed crafted from layers of blankets lies in the center, with pillows arranged neatly, except for one that Leona has clearly used for sleeping. Grim is sound asleep on the pile of pillows near the sofa. However, what catches the prefect's attention is Vil, already dressed in his loungewear, casually brushing his hair while seated on the sofa.
“Vil?? How did you get yo—”
“Rook delivered it to me, and no, I’m still staying for the night.”
Vil's response leaves the prefect even more perplexed. If what he says is true, then how did Rook manage to come all the way here from Pomefiore in this weather? The relentless heavy rain shows no signs of letting up. With a sigh, they put down the sweater they had intended to give him and lie down in the center of the makeshift bed. Vil joins them, pulling the warm blanket over them both.
While reclining, the prefect couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. Glancing to their side, they spotted Schoenheit admiring them. He shuffled closer and gently placed his hand over theirs. A smile broke across their face as they saw one of the island's famous stars enjoying a moment of relaxation on a makeshift bed beneath the dilapidated dorm. The irony.
"I'm glad to see you're comfortable, Vil."
"What? Do you think I'm high maintenance? I'm perfectly fine here as well." He adjusted his manicured hand to rest on the prefect's torso, snuggling closer. "As long as you're here, I'm more than comfortable." He propped himself up on his stomach, draping one leg over the prefect's. The cold, slender fingers slipped beneath the sweater the prefect wore, wandering across their torso. A blush crept onto their cheeks, intensifying when Vil pressed a kiss to one side of their jaw. Their mouth fell open as they noticed some movement on the other side—Leona, with a mischievous grin, leaned in closer.
"Look at them, utterly speechless." His voice was soft, almost whispering, sending shivers down their spine. He took the prefect's other hand, bringing it closer to his lips. He playfully bit two of their fingers, causing the prefect to panic over the antics of the two housewardens.
"W-what are you guys doing?" Vil's hands settled on either side of the prefect's waist. He chuckles softly, his breath warm against the prefect's skin. "Oh, just making sure you feel appreciated," he murmured, his voice a sultry whisper that lingered in the air.
Leona, not one to be outdone, shifted even closer, his presence a comforting heat. "You seem a little tense," he teased, his voice a low rumble. "Let us help you relax."
The prefect's heart raced, caught between the two housewardens whose attention was both exhilarating and overwhelming. Vil's fingers traced delicate patterns, his touch light and teasing, while Leona's grip was firm and reassuring.
"You're not objecting, are you?" Vil's eyes sparkled with mischief, his lips brushing against the prefect's ear. Meanwhile, Leona's gaze was intense; his eyes locked onto theirs with a look that was hard to resist. As Vil and Leona continued their gentle ministrations, they found themselves surrendering to the warmth and comfort of the two housewardens' embrace,
“K-keep going...” the prefect squeaks, their breath catching as they push forward. “Gimme more...”
Both Schoenheit and Kingscholar share a dark giggle at this request, clearly pleased to oblige. With an arm draped affectionately over the prefect's shoulders, Leona pulls back the collar of their sweater to reveal their collarbone and leans in for a gentle, warm kiss. Meanwhile, Vil snuggles closer to their neck, delivering a passionate kiss filled with hunger.
The prefect’s heart raced, caught in the delightful whirlwind of sensations and emotions. Surrounded by the warmth and affection of Vil and Leona, they felt a sense of belonging, a moment suspended in time where nothing else mattered but the gentle touch and the soft murmurs of affection shared beneath the dim glow of the setting sun. The world outside seemed to fade away, leaving only the rhythmic beating of three hearts in perfect harmony. Gradually, they all fell asleep while snuggled together.

As the afternoon rolled in and classes concluded, the rain began to pour heavily. This weather pattern has been a consistent feature since Spring arrived at Night Raven College. Students emerged from their classrooms, appearing almost drowsy, while the sky turned a bleak grey and the wind picked up in strength.
Jamil strolled out of his classroom, a yawn slipping from his lips. He waved goodbye to a few classmates he often chatted with before heading toward the Hall of Mirrors. As he walked, he noticed a familiar figure standing by one of the grand arched windows, gazing out at the rain. Observing the prefect from a distance, he confirmed that none of their usual friend group was nearby and decided to approach them.
I need to see you in my window
“The weather has been quite dreadful lately, hasn’t it?” Without glancing at the boy, the prefect acknowledges his presence with a response, remaining facing forward.
In a whisper
Jamil pauses in silence for a moment as an idea takes shape in his mind. He examines every feature of their face closely. Even amidst this gloomy weather, their visage continues to glow. Inside his indifferent demeanor, his heart beats rapidly.
All I really want is you
“Would you like to join me in Scarabia so we can work on the assignment together?”
The prefect finally gazes at Jamil, their eyes sparkling with intrigue. Viper reflects on how effortless it is to decipher their emotions as he scrutinizes those eyes. However, a hint of hesitation stirs within them.
"But is it okay? Are you not busy?"
"I happen to be free today, and why would I say no to you?" A wave of warmth and relief washes over them as they ask him to take the lead. With the hallway now deserted, the two stroll side by side toward the Hall of Mirrors.
It’s quite unusual for him to have their company like this. Previously, he had only watched them from a distance, but now he finds himself comfortably beside them, without the initial lingering apprehension from his overblot incident. He’s having them all to himself, for now. Every word they speak is like a melody meant just for him, and he can't help but hang on to their every syllable.
He savors this moment, engraving every detail into his memory—their scent, the way their eyes glimmer under the dim lights of the hall, and the soft laughter that spills from their lips. He wonders if they realize how much power they hold over him, how every glance fuels a fire that he guards jealously.
The thought of anyone else being this close to them sits uneasily in his mind, like a storm brewing just beneath the surface. Yet, in this moment, the tempest within him is calmed by the gentle cadence of their voice. As they walk, the echoes of their footsteps resonate softly against the grand architecture around them, creating a rhythm that feels as intimate as a heartbeat.
₊˚✩彡
As Jamil and the prefect stroll through the hallways of Scarabia, they unexpectedly encounter Kalim, who is accompanied by three other members of Scarabia. Upon spotting the duo, his eyes light up with excitement as he wraps up his conversation with the other students.
“Alright! Let’s discuss this another time! Please send me the details in the group chat!” As the three figures depart with cheerful smiles, Kalim turns to greet Jamil and the prefect, his smile radiant. Viper feels a pang in his heart, realizing that his time alone with the prefect is coming to an end.
“Prefect! Jamil! It’s wonderful to see you! Especially you, Prefect!” He quickens his pace toward the magicless student and takes both of their hands. “I’m so thrilled to see you here! So, what brings you by?”
The prefect chuckles at the white-haired boy's enthusiasm. "Jamil said he wants to help me with my History of Magic assignment." Kalim’s excitement intensifies, more so since the prefect is staying longer in his dorm. He bounces joyfully on his spot and invites them to his room, saying, “Why don’t we do it in my room? It’ll be more comfy for everyone! Ooh! We could even discuss the topic together!” Jamil's expression darkens at this suggestion, showing reluctance to accept his housemate's invitation.
The prefect glances at Jamil, noticing the slight sweat forming due to Kalim's enthusiasm. With their observant eyes and awareness of the dynamics around them, they understand the relationship Viper and Al-Asim have. They are aware of all of it. Therefore, they need to ensure that the long-haired boy is okay with everything. However, even Jamil finds it hard to decline the white-haired boy's invitation. He shrugs and decides to go along with it.
“Fine by me.” At this, Kalim leaps even higher in joy.
“Yay! Come on! This way!”
₊˚✩彡
Time seems to slip away as the sky deepens into darkness. A cool breeze wafts through the large arched windows of Al-Asim's room, where the moonlight casts a tranquil glow. The warm lighting envelops the space, creating a cozy atmosphere. The prefect, Jamil, and Kalim are seated on the floor, gathered around a low table with textbooks and notes scattered around them. The only voice breaking the silence is Jamil's as he explains the assignment.
“The task for this class is ‘The Origin of Magic from Country A and Historical Resolution.’” The prefect listens quietly, trying their best to comprehend Viper's words, as does Al-Asim. However, his focus lies elsewhere.
“In my opinion... this war was a surprise attack orchestrated by Country B to counter Country A's formidable military strength.” Al-Asim's ruby-red eyes remain fixed on the prefect, propping himself up with both hands on the table as he gazes at them with admiration.
In his eyes, the prefect embodies perfection. It wasn't merely love at first sight; Kalim genuinely believes that their encounter was destined. Their kindness, candid nature, and profound empathy captivate him. He studies those sparkling eyes, yearning to decipher what they truly think of him and how they instinctively know just the right words to make his heart flutter.
Kalim's heart races with each passing moment, a mix of excitement and an overwhelming need to keep the prefect close. He can't help but imagine a world where they belong solely to him, where no distractions or other people could ever come between them. A world where they could bask in each other's presence endlessly.
“However, given how different Country B's culture and civilization are from those of Country A, the concept of Magic A, which is exclusive to Country B, must have been…” Jamil's voice trails off as he notices the prefect’s furrowed brows. Aside from their fatigue, it seems they are struggling to fully grasp everything he just explained. He gently touches their hand for reassurance.
“You're having a hard time, aren't you? History is merely a game of deception among nations.” This snaps Kalim back to reality, and he notices his friend holding the prefect's hand. This action stirs a peculiar feeling in his heart, though he can’t quite place why. The prefect resumes jotting down notes to complete their assignment while Jamil turns to him.
“Prefect, why don't we let you focus for now while we prepare? Right, Kalim?” The Scarabia housewarden feels slightly confused by his vice’s statement but soon realizes it’s already late.
“Y-yes, prefect! If you need to rest, feel free to lie down on the bed! We’ll see you later.” With that, the pair exits through the door.
₊˚✩彡
The door quietly swings open to reveal Jamil and Kalim already dressed in their loungewear. As they step inside, they notice the prefect is not at the low table as expected. Instead, they find the prefect lying on the bed with their back turned to them.
“Wah! Prefect!” Kalim exclaims, dashing over to the bed to get closer. He plops down beside the prefect and gazes at them fondly.
“You must be really tired, huh?” Jamil comments as he picks up the magicless' notebook to read what they’ve written, smiling as he sees they are gradually grasping the subject and his explanations.
“Kalim, since it’s already late, I’m heading back to my room.” However, Kalim stops Jamil.
“Wait! Why don’t you stay here with us? A sleepover! I’m sure the prefect would be happy too…?” Once again, he feels that familiar flutter in his chest. Kalim simply wants to have both of his beloved people close tonight, yet he finds himself hesitating over his own words. Jamil would rather sleep next to the prefect alone, without anyone else, yet he smirks inwardly and accepts this arrangement.
“Alright. I just need to grab something from my room, and I’ll be back.” Kalim shakes off his doubts and continues to watch the prefect as they sleep. There was a lingering silence before he lay down next to them, gently stroking their face with his free hand. Before Viper departs, Al-Asim calls out to him once more.
“Jamil, we should do this more often.” The long-haired boy furrows one brow at the other’s statement, confusion clearly displayed on his face.
“What do you mean by that? The prefect usually sticks with their own group of friends, don’t they?” Kalim's red eyes are locked on the prefect’s expression, a subtle smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
“I mean, even if they're busy, you can always use your unique magic, right? That way, we could hang out more often.” At Kalim’s last words, Jamil simply chuckles and exits the room.
“Mom and Dad would love to meet you, even brothers and sisters.” He sighs heavily, as if trying to contain the overwhelming love welling up inside him. He scoots closer, slipping an arm beneath the prefect and another over them. “I’d cherish every night holding you like this in bed. I’d give you anything you want.” His eyes grow heavy, and he whispers,
"All I really want is you."
Not long after, the door swings open to reveal Jamil, wearing the headband he had taken from his room. He notices both figures lying on the bed, nestled beneath the blanket. With a soft sigh, he dims the lights. Viper approaches the bed and spots a space next to the prefect, presumably reserved for him.
His dark charcoal eyes scrutinize every detail of the prefect’s visage. Climbing onto the bed, he reaches for the prefect's tie, swiftly untangling it to ease the constriction around their neck while they sleep. He also removes both their socks, folding them carefully with the necktie and placing the items on the nearest nightstand. Finally, he unbuttons a few buttons on their shirt.
His gaze lingers on the area around their neck, thoughts racing through his mind. He slowly caresses the area with his hand. Deep inside, he grapples with unanswered questions about the prefect that he fears he may never uncover. With his sharp perception, he senses that there are things the prefect knows that remain a mystery to him, including their true feelings toward him.
While they appear to be endlessly friendly with their peers at NRC, he yearns to delve into their innermost thoughts and emotions. They may see themselves as an outsider in this world, but Jamil would do anything to keep them from returning to their own realm, if that is even a possibility.
He settles into the vacant space beside them, gently reaching out to turn their face toward him. Carefully intertwining his fingers with theirs, he closes his eyes, surrendering to the embrace of sleep.
I got a completely different idea in my mind I just need to write it down sooonnn but can’t help it I’ve been wanting to write something with a sassy “diva”-esque song featuring Vil or Cater, or even both (again)👀 same vibes to Greedy and Break Up with your GF but I can’t seem to find any songs that are like thooseee or I havent been listening to more pop songs these days,,,

"Just me...?"
The prefect glances up from their seat to see the towering Leech twins standing on their side. It’s lunchtime, and the cafeteria is filled with students scattered throughout. The prefect and Grim sit with their usual group of first-years when they are unexpectedly approached by the notorious Octavinelle duo.
With devious smiles that are characteristic of each Leech brother, they present a special invitation to the prefect for an exclusive dinner at Mostro Lounge. This dinner is meant just for the prefect, with no one else from the table, not even Grim, permitted to join. Floyd emits a bubbly, yet somewhat eerie giggle in response to the reactions from everyone at the table.
“All of you should have seen your own faces!” His brother maintains his gentlemanly stance, placing a hand on Floyd to quiet his laughter. Floyd's amusement subsides gradually, and his attention shifts solely to the prefect. "So, what'd ya say, shrimpy? If you say no, I'll squeeze ya!” The atmosphere grows tense as they process the invitation, their mind racing with curiosity and a hint of apprehension.
Grim, ever protective and slightly possessive, narrows his eyes suspiciously. “What do they want with you alone?” he huffs, his tail flicking with annoyance. Ace joins in, confronting the twins' intentions.
“Yeah! What are you planning to do with them?!” He feels a surge of unease at the thought of them being with other boys, let alone the Octavinelle trio. The pressure around the table escalates for the first-years, amplifying their possessive instincts towards the prefect. Epel, sitting beside the prefect, clings protectively to their arm while still managing to keep his ‘cute’ demeanor. Deuce and Sebek watch the twins with palpable tension, while Jack makes an effort to maintain his composure, at least outwardly.
Jade Leech, with his usual cool demeanor, leans in slightly, offering reassurance in a smooth, practiced tone. “We assure you, it’s nothing nefarious. Our intention is purely to entertain and provide exceptional service for our dearest prefect,” he explains, his words as polished as his appearance.
The table falls silent, everyone's eyes darting between the prefect and the twins. The prefect, caught between intrigue and loyalty to their friends, finally nods. “Alright, I’ll come,” they say, trying to sound confident.
“But prefect!” All the first-years, including Grim, voiced their worries in an effort to persuade the prefect. Ace's and Sebek's voices rang out the loudest as both boys rose from their seats. The prefect reassured them, saying that everything would be fine."Trust me," they said, offering a reassuring smile. "I’ll be back before you know it, and I’ll tell you all about it."
Floyd claps his hands together, his excitement palpable. “Great! We promise it’ll be unforgettable,” he chirps, his smile wide and enigmatic.

The prefect arrives at Mostro Lounge precisely as the Leech twins instructed. They took note of the dress code details provided by the twins and chose the finest attire they could find in their closet that suited the occasion. As they gaze from the entrance of the lounge, it becomes clear that the other students dining that evening are also elegantly dressed. It appears that a special event is taking place in the lounge.
Jade approaches the prefect with a charming demeanor, offering his warmest smile and placing a hand on his chest. His outfit bore a resemblance to his typical dorm wear, but it was elevated with fancier fabric and adorned with a few embellishments here and there.
"Welcome to Mostro Lounge, my dearest prefect." His eyes are shut like crescent moons, revealing a glimpse of his sharp teeth as he adds, “You certainly look as magnificent as a pearl this evening.” Slightly taken aback by the compliment, a dust of pink shade appears across the prefect's cheeks. The prefect responds with a sheepish smile.
"Thank you, Jade. You look dashing as well."
"How kind of you, prefect. Now, please, kindly permit me to escort you to your designated seat."
The stroll from the entrance isn't too lengthy, as the table designated for the prefect is centrally located within the raised area of the room. A long, curved sofa encircles a table at its center. What sets this evening apart is the makeshift stage positioned at the far end of the room. It truly feels like tonight is something extraordinary. The prefect sits on the sofa and waits for further instructions from the merfolk.
"You may look at the meal for tonight on the menu. They will come around shortly to take your order,” Jade announces with a soft, melodic voice that seems to ripple through the air like a gentle current. The prefect nods appreciatively, picking up the elegantly designed menu that rests on the table. Leech excuses himself to leave and tend to other matters.
As the prefect glances through the selections, the room begins to fill with an anticipatory hum. Guests chat in hushed tones, their eyes occasionally darting to the stage, eager for the evening's entertainment to commence. The atmosphere is electric, yet soothing, as if the very walls were imbued with the promise of enchantment.
Moments later, a member of Octavinelle approaches to take their order. Then it doesn't take long for the meal to be served. Gradually, from the appetizer to the refreshing beverage and finally to the main course, everything is laid out with elegance. The table is adorned with dishes that look like they belong in a gourmet magazine, each one meticulously prepared and artfully presented. As they savor each bite, the flavors burst onto their palates, a testament to the chef's skill and creativity.
₊˚✩彡
After all the empty plates had been taken, a tall figure walked toward the prefect with relaxed strides. Stopping by the table with a wide, toothy smile, Floyd places a plate with a cloche on top of it.
"Shrimpyyy, you're here!" Leech is also wearing an elevated version of his dorm uniform. However, typical of his character, he is dressed rather messily compared to his brother.
“Floyd! What are you holding? I don't recall placing another order.” Instead of responding right away, Floyd plops down on the sofa beside them. His huge, strong arms wrap around the prefect's shoulders, pressing against the boy's torso.
“If it weren't for Jade insisting on waiting by the entrance, I would have greeted you first! I would have led you to the table and spent more time with you!” The prefect quickly taps Leech's hand, signaling the weight pressing down on them, but Floyd still doesn't release his embrace. “I’m glad you actually listened to us! My threat worked!”
“Floyyddd, please stop!” Finally, the boy loosens his grip but continues to hold onto them. Although still in a somewhat awkward position, the prefect feels relieved to be able to breathe again. They reach out to lift the cloche off the plate, revealing a beautifully presented cake adorned in a striking shade of purple.
“Ah! That’s a complimentary dessert from us! You see, you don’t have to cover everything tonight. Since Azul insisted, he wants you to enjoy the cake as a token of how special you are to us!” Now that his name has been brought up, the prefect realized they hadn’t seen Azul anywhere. Considering the invitation likely originated from him, it’s quite strange that he hasn’t made an appearance. Moreover, the fact that they don’t have to pay for anything tonight adds a sense of guilt. If only they could explain to him that all of this is unnecessary.
Suddenly, a warm breath brushes against their ear as Leech leans in, tension palpable. "You know, shrimpy. We know what you did, and it made us verrryyy upset."
They instinctively glance at the boy with a raised eyebrow, asking, “What do you mean by that?” However, before Floyd can respond, his brother gestures for him to leave the prefect from a distance, signaling that the performance is about to begin. Floyd reluctantly releases his grip on the prefect, feeling a tinge of disappointment, but his mood shifts as quickly as a gust of wind.
“Well, the food is merely the beginning. The real excitement is just around the corner! See you later, shrimpy!” With that, Floyd walks away. The prefect, still flustered by his earlier comment, decides to set those thoughts aside and savor the complimentary dessert. It could've just been one of Floyd's absurd behaviors. Just as they take their first bite, the lights in the lounge dim, and all eyes turn toward the stage.
There stands Azul, also adorned in an elevated version of the dorm uniform, with his hand holding a tall ribbon microphone. Behind him are some Octavinelle students with their instruments ready.
“Thank you for joining us on this special evening. As you all know, I am Azul, the housewarden of Octavinelle. Tonight, I will be performing a beautiful song dedicated to someone special.” In an instant, as Azul utters the final words of his introduction, it seems his gaze lingers on the prefect's. They watch him with eager anticipation. A jazzy instrumental begins to play, setting the stage for the performance.
"This may come, this may come as some surprise. But I miss you."
Azul's voice, smooth and rich, fills the room as he begins to sing. The melody weaves through the air, enchanting the audience with its charm and elegance. While the performance is still going, the prefect is suddenly overcome with a wave of heaviness on their chest.
"They take his love, but it doesn't feel like mine
They taste his kiss, his kisses are not wine, they're not mine."
The band behind him provides a lively accompaniment, each instrument adding its own unique flavor to the performance. The bass guitar thumps with a steady rhythm, the piano keys dance lightly under skilled fingers, and the trumpet punctuates the air with a bright flourish. Together, they create a harmonious blend that perfectly complements Azul's vocals.
"They take, but surely he can't give what I'm feeling now
He takes, but surely he doesn't know how."
The prefect still can't explain what they are experiencing. It is almost as if there is guilt lingering in their chest. But they are not sure what the reason could be. They even wonder if it has any correlation to what Floyd had mentioned before.
"Is it a crime?"
In an effort to relish the performance, they give it their all. Without a doubt, Azul is delivering an impressive show. However, an uncomfortable sensation begins to envelop their body, causing a light sheen of sweat. As their gaze locks with Azul's, the world around them fades into a blur.
"That I still want you
And I want you to want me, too"
His piercing eyes stared straight into the prefect's. They feel a gentle tug at the edges of their consciousness, as if coaxing them to surrender. They can almost feel themselves slipping into the calm Azul is crafting, a serene ocean of tranquility.
However, in a moment of lost composure, their grip on the fork used to enjoy the dessert slips, causing it to crash onto the floor. The loud clatter echoes in the prefect's vicinity, instantly breaking their trance. The comforting haze evaporates, and the world snaps back into sharp focus. Azul's eyes widen slightly, his expression faltering for a brief moment before he quickly regains his composure, masking his disappointment.
"Tell me, is it a crime?"
When the final chords echo through the hall, there is a moment of hushed silence before the room erupts into applause, a testament to the power of music and the magic of the evening. Azul's eyes stay on the prefect's figure while they fetch the fork on the floor.
Before the prefect rises to wrap up the evening, Jade quickly steps up from the side. He advises them to hold on until Azul arrives to have a conversation with them. As the room gradually becomes empty, with only Octavinelle members walking around for a clean-up, Azul, with Floyd on his side, approaches. A smile plasters on his visage.
“Perfect! It truly is a delight to see you here. I’m thrilled that you accepted our invitation for the evening. You look as lovely as the moonlight.” Once again, a small blush spreads on their visage. The prefect beams up at him from their seat, feeling a wave of gratitude for the warmth and hospitality extended to them that night.
"I must say, words cannot fully capture my gratitude for tonight, Azul. However, I do feel a bit guilty for not being able to cover all of this."
“Nonsense! Everything is handled. You matter much more to us than you realize.” In one quick motion, Jade and Floyd shift the table out of the prefect's line of sight, allowing Azul to draw nearer to their seat. This action leaves them a bit puzzled, but they choose not to voice their thoughts. As the customers have all left and other Octavinelle staffs cleaning in the kitchen area, the lounge becomes empty, somewhat eerily so.
A pair of hands rests on the prefect's shoulders, prompting them to look up and see Floyd grinning widely from behind the sofa. They also feel a dip beside them as Jade takes a seat. All of this unfolds without their awareness, as an arm wraps around the prefect's back, with a hand gently resting on their thigh—both gestures belonging to Jade. He merely flashes his sinister smile. Floyd's embrace grows tighter as he pulls the prefect closer, wrapping his arms around their shoulders.
"W-what's happening...?" With their attention diverted, Azul slowly caresses their cheek. As they realize his face is just inches away from theirs, a wave of panic washes over them.
"My dearest pearl, why were you with him?" The prefect becomes increasingly uncomfortable and confused by the question.
"I don't know what you mean?!" Both the Leechs' smiles grow wider, baring their sharp teeth.
"Shrimpy, don't act coy! You forgot about that time you played with mahi-mahi in the sea!"
“Do you not remember your little playdate with the Prince, prefect?” The prince...? In that instant, they vividly recalled the day spent with the merfolk prince. However, the prefect was further puzzled by how much the trio seemed to know about their encounter. Surely, they couldn't have been present during the incident at sea.
"Our love is much bigger and stronger than he could ever give you. It dives, it jumps, and it ripples like the deepest ocean. Yet you were out there in the water with him." Azul's free hand gradually glides toward his trouser pocket to fetch an item. With their eyes still locked onto him, he pulls out a small vial filled with a purple liquid. "My dear, you have no idea how much it pains us to hear that."
The potion, brewed earlier, emits bubbles within the container. A wicked solution to the trio’s desperation upon hearing the news of their infatuation spending time with another, or rather, an enemy of theirs. They had become aware of their story from gossip shared among other students. His hand, which had been resting on the prefect's face, lowers gently to their lips, slowly prying them apart.
As the vial draws closer to the prefect, some footsteps could be heard from the entrance.
"Prefect! Are you there?!" Everyone immediately snaps to the source of the sound, and Azul automatically hides the vial back into his pocket. There stands the first-year friend group, and Grim barging into Mostro Lounge. Upon seeing the position the prefect is in, all of their eyes widen.
"Myah! Just what are you about to do to them?!" Grim swiftly runs toward the prefect and jumps onto their lap, protecting them from the three merfolk. The trio backs away from them to avoid further misunderstanding.
"Why did you guys come here?"
“We got worried when we noticed you hadn’t returned to Ramshackle,” Ace remarks as he approaches the prefect, with Deuce trailing closely behind.
“Exactly! We came here to ensure that you’re alright.” He kneels beside the prefect, holding their hand to confirm that they are safe. Then, he turns to the trio lingering nearby. “But... what were you three doing crowding around them earlier?”
Azul regards the two boys with a hint of disdain, raising both arms slightly to emphasize that he is not engaging in anything 'suspicious.' He then shifts into his typical charming persona to diffuse the tension.
"We assure you, we haven’t caused any harm to our esteemed prefect. We simply provided the finest service at Mostro Lounge, as they are our valued guest, Spade." Floyd adopts a bored posture, while Jade maintains his usual composed demeanor, despite feeling quite the opposite internally.
"Once again, we appreciate your visit to our establishment, prefect. We hope to welcome you back soon." Azul performs a grand bow before the prefect, who lets out a sigh as the situation unfolds. Everything has become unusually complicated, leaving many questions unanswered. However, they choose to let it go, knowing they have a group of boys whose worries they need to address.
"Alright. I am also very grateful for tonight's events. I'll return when the time comes." They stand from their seat with Grim in their hold, gesturing the first-years to leave the lounge. "Come on, guys. Let's go back."
As everyone exits the establishment, leaving behind the trio. Ashengrotto grips his hand, entering the VIP room with the twins following behind. The three fell silent, each lost in their thoughts, plotting their next moves for when the prefect is once again within their grasp.
⊹₊⋆ Cool With You (Minajael Tealrajah x GN Reader)
a/n: I WORK HARDER THAN THE DEVIL Prefect is quite bold and wise here but I like it that way. They may be quiet and reserved but with the right people or situation, they get to have the upper hand
c/w: minuscule yandere towards the end, a little OOC? Though we still don’t know how he really is, just some comfort
now playing: newjeans - cool with you
In one of Minajael’s nightly adventures, the prince met someone he believed would change his life forever. Raised in a strict environment with limited options, Minajael developed a rebellious spirit. He frequently sneaks out to explore the town, a place he seldom visits due to the palace’s strict regulations. These escapades keep him grounded and calm his nerves. He revels in wandering freely, enjoying the vibrant lights, the bustling activity that continues even after dark, and the peace he finds in quiet spots while gazing at the star-filled sky. Now that he has enrolled in the Royal Sword Academy, he feels a newfound freedom, far from his people back in the palace. However, this does not prevent him from indulging in solitary night excursions, relishing the enchanting nights on Sage’s Island.
On this particular night, Minajael felt overwhelmed by stress as the Spelldrive competition approached in the coming weeks. Additionally, his responsibilities as housewarden had been mounting, and his parents had reached out to remind him of his betrothal. Feeling burdened by it all, as soon as he stepped into his room, the prince pulled out his trusty hoodie disguise from the drawer, put it on, and leaped out of the dormitory window. With a bit of parkour skill, Minajael had become familiar with the secret route to escape the dorm unnoticed. With a specific destination in mind, he made his way to RSA's very own mirror chambers and stepped through one of the mirrors.
₊˚✩彡
The chosen spot was the town's bay, in a small secluded area to be exact, where he could relax on one of the benches and gaze at the stars. However, he was taken aback to find another figure occupying the bench he typically claimed for himself. This area is usually deserted on this day at this hour, so why was someone else here, sharing the same experience? Before he realized it, Minajael found himself captivated by the other person until their eyes met, and they turned to him.
“Can I help you?” Surprised at their question, the prince panicked a little.
“Oh, um, I’m sorry. I didn’t realize I was being impolite.”
“It’s alright. Though am I distracting you? Do you want me to leave?”
“… Not at all, I am completely fine with your presence.”
Minajael feels an unusual energy radiating from this specific individual. Their mere presence appears more imposing than that of a prince like him. It’s as if an otherworldly aura surrounds them, making his own title seem insignificant. This leaves him feeling slightly anxious and on edge, behaving not how he usually does. But one thing for sure is that he doesn’t want to leave them just like that. For them not recognizing him nor fawn over him, he finds pleasure in that.
“Hm, alright. Just so you know I’m cool with you being here too.” The boy hums in acknowledgment to their statement and sits on the other end of the same bench the stranger sits on. To label someone as distracting might seem like a harsh judgment, yet Minajael finds it difficult to dismiss the other person's presence so easily. Even in the shadows, he can perceive that they are easy on the eyes.
“It seems like you and I are quite the same for coming here.” The prince looks back at the other person, surprised that a conversation has begun.
“You think I can’t feel your gaze? I figured you might want someone to talk to. You seem to have a lot on your mind.”
You know me like no other.
Minajael found himself at a loss for words. It felt as though he was suddenly inclined to share all his thoughts and feelings with this unusual stranger. While there was a comforting aura, he recognized that he needed to maintain his composure. However, seeing that this person appeared to be around his age, he thought maybe it was acceptable to express a few of his emotions.
“It’s just,” he pauses for a brief moment, “there are many things to think about. School is one, but there’s also…. something I want to break free from.” He takes a deep breath. “I yearn for my own path… my own choices. I wish I could escape all of this.” Both figures remained silent for a moment, with the wind gently sings in their ears.
“Well, that explains the sneaking out,” replied the prefect, glancing at Minajael’s secretive attire while the boy shows a hint of embarrassment. Yet, there’s really nothing to contest.
“There’s absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to write your own story. In fact, that’s what you’re meant to do. What you’re up against may seem daunting, but I truly believe you’re heading in the right direction.” Minajael looks directly at them, while their gaze remains fixed on the stars. The stars, twinkling brightly against the velvet night, seemed to whisper encouragement, as if the universe itself was in on their secret conversation. A sense of camaraderie blossomed in the silence, binding them together in shared understanding.
And I think I like your point of view.
“Do you ever feel like the world is just too vast?” Minajael asked softly, his voice barely rising above the gentle rustle of the leaves. “Like there’s so much out there, but you’re stuck in a tiny corner of it?”
“You want my opinion about this world?” He gazed at them with a puzzled expression, unsure of what that meant, but the prefect continued.
“This world, I’m not even supposed to be here, if you believe that. I’m not here by choice.” Minajael found himself quite bewildered by this assertion, yet he assumed it was the reason they were here. Still, it left him feeling rather odd—what could they mean by not belonging in this world?
“But to answer your question, I do,” they replied, their voice thoughtful. “Maybe that’s why we have dreams—to remind us that the world is as big as we dare to imagine. And every step we take towards those dreams makes it a little less daunting.” Minajael felt the warmth spreading through him to know he wasn’t alone in his feelings. Though he still couldn’t shake off what the prefect mentioned earlier.
“What do you mean when you said you’re not meant to be here?” Instead of answering the boy’s question, they just smiled sheepishly.
“I gaze at the stars because I want to believe I’m sharing the same view as they are.” The prefect offered the prince an apologetic expression, conveying a yearning for something too abstract for him to grasp. Their eyes sparkled like the stars above. Unbeknownst to him, a blush crept across Minajael’s cheeks. Yet, before he could utter a word, the prefect quickly informed him that it was already too late and they needed to return without delay. As they spoke, the prefect gently tapped his shoulder before swiftly darting away. Minajael could only watch in the direction they had gone while placing his hand on the area they had touched.
You can come back to me. I don’t care what other people say.
₊˚✩彡
In his room once more, the prince felt a sense of restlessness, tossing and turning in his bed. His mind was preoccupied with thoughts of the enigmatic stranger he had met that evening. He regretted not inquiring about their name, but with his sharp eye for detail, he speculated that they might be a student from a nearby school. Yet, he found it hard to believe they truly attended that institution. Nevertheless, he couldn't shake the thoughts of how he could have engaged with them more meaningfully. He vividly recalled their eyes, brimming with longing, and wished he had spoken up. Setting aside his concerns, everything about that person made his heart race. It wasn't just their striking appearance; it was their bold character and candid nature, as well as their nonchalant attitude towards his title, if they knew who he was that is. They were perceptive and compassionate—what more could he desire than another opportunity to officially introduce himself and get to know them better? That night, he prayed for the chance to meet again soon.
Don’t let me go. Dreaming of each other.
₊˚✩彡
Weeks passed, and the boy had yet to encounter the stranger he spoke with that night. He returned to the same spot on several evenings, but they never appeared. Still, he clings to every word they shared with him as he confronts the reality around him.
You may be on my mind. Everyday, baby, say you’re mine.
The long-awaited day has finally come for his school to confront the neighboring school, Night Raven College, in a competition. Even though he recognizes a few familiar faces from that school, he feels a sense of irritation at having to compete against them almost every year, particularly during the spelldrive competition. The atmosphere at that instituition is filled with rowdy students, and he struggles to find a single friendly face among them. As he walks alongside his fellow housewarden, Rielle, he unexpectedly spots a familiar face in the crowd. Those same eyes he had seen that night now stand out clearly in the daylight, and he can't seem to look away. The prefect is engaged in conversation with a group of NRC students, particularly two individuals with striking red and blue hair who are standing unnervingly close to them. Noticing his gaze, the two figures respond with a glare, realizing he is staring at their friend. Ignoring their hostility, he continues toward their direction, only to be intercepted by a familiar figure—Jamil Viper. Minajael can sense the annoyance radiating from him. As Viper engages him in an unwanted conversation, it becomes clear that he has a hidden agenda to block his path as the prefect, along with their two friends, walks away.
With that, the boy must devise alternate ways to reconnect with his beloved stranger, no matter how intense this rivalry may become. He needs them to be his.
You and me on my mind. Everywhere, baby, say you’re mine.

The downtown area of Sage's Island has always been bustling, particularly on weekends. Families and friends gather in the lively streets, eager to discover the colorful shops and inviting cafes that adorn the sidewalks. Street performers contribute a spirited atmosphere, enchanting onlookers with their music and dance. However, amidst this vibrancy, staying vigilant becomes essential. At least that’s what the merfolk prince thinks.
Rielle, who stands outside a store, intently observing a particular figure inside. The prince thinks he is simply keeping an eye out for them. Clad in a newly acquired long dark coat and secretive shades, he is resolute in ensuring the prefect's safety during their shopping escapades. If only the prefect themself were aware of his silent mission.
Initially, the boy ventured into the area to indulge in his routine of independent exploration around town. He often engages in this activity to demonstrate to his father his ability to be self-sufficient and to show that he is maturing. However, what he didn't anticipate was encountering the person who had been swimming in his thoughts lately. Despite his shyness, he was eager to learn more about them. If he could muster a bit more courage, he might even consider spending time together.
"Ah, Rielle. We meet again."
With his attention wandering, he fails to notice the prefect standing right in front of him. This sudden appearance caught him off guard, causing his face to flush with embarrassment. They must've concluded their shopping early, while his focus went elsewhere. He stammers, at a loss for words, while the prefect merely tilts their head in curiosity.
"Are you here to shop too? The weather's surely nice today."
"Y-yeah! It sure is..." He tries his best to look away from their eyes because of his nerves. He shifts his weight from one foot to the other, trying to muster the courage to continue the conversation. His heart races, but he manages a small smile, hoping it conveys more confidence than he feels.
"Do you come here often?" he asks, his voice slightly shaky but genuine in its curiosity.
The prefect nods, their expression warm and inviting. "I do. There's something comforting about wandering through the market, isn't there? All the colors and sounds."
He nods, grateful for the shared sentiment. "Yeah, it's like a little adventure every time," he replies, his words coming more easily now. "I always find something new." There is some lingering silence after his response; thus, the prefect decides to voice the curiosity that had been brewing since the beginning of their encounter.
"Say, what's with the get-up? Isn't it too hot for a coat?" At the question, Rielle immediately goes back to being shy, with his cheeks almost as red as his hair. He didn't realize how goofy-looking he must've been all this time. While the boy struggles to explain himself, the prefect just giggles at him. The prince quickly takes off the shades and coat out of embarrassment without any further explanation.
"It's alright. I won't say anything anymore." He chuckles softly with them to calm his nerves while attentively watching. Their radiant smiles gleam brightly, nearly outshining the sun. Their voices are soothing and warm, making him think of a heavenly presence gracing him. He can’t help but feel a twinge of envy toward the Night Raven College boys, who get to witness such beauty every day. Wait, envy...?
"Perhaps I should go now since you seem to be occupied." Rielle shakes off his thoughts and halts their departure. Gathering his courage, he decides to invite them to spend the day with him.
"A-actually, I'm free for the rest of the day. Would you like to have a walk with me to the beach? If you're fine with it, that is..." The prefect smiles warmly at the offer.
"I'm sure Grim can wait. Sure, why don't you show me the way?"
Rielle's heart skips a beat at their acceptance, a mix of relief and excitement washing over him. He gestures toward the path leading to the beach, trying to steady his voice. “Great! It’s a lovely day for a walk, and the view by the water is really something special.”
As they start walking side by side, Rielle finds himself easing into conversation, his initial nervousness slowly melting away. The sun dances through the leaves above, casting playful shadows on the path, while the gentle rustle of leaves accompanies their footsteps. With this closeness, he can admire them from close up. Their hands occasionally brush against each other, sending his heartbeat into a frenzy each time. He finds himself wondering if the prefect already holds someone special in their heart.
₊˚✩彡
After their long stroll, the two arrive at the beach, which seems to be close to Royal Sword Academy. From this vantage point, the prefect can appreciate the academy's stunning architecture. The radiant white walls and blue roofing gleam brilliantly under the sunny sky. This sight genuinely ignites the prefect's curiosity about how life at RSA differs from that at NRC. Although they have some understanding from the interscholastic competition, they know they haven’t seen everything hidden behind those pristine walls. Rielle dashes towards a secluded area of the beach, waving his arms to beckon them to follow him.
Upon arrival, a massive splash greets them as the boy disappears into the water. A brilliant glow, reminiscent of an explosion, radiates beneath the surface. Moments later, Rielle rises from the depths, his clothes left behind, with half of his body transformed into a shimmering teal mermaid tail. It's a stunning sight, leaving the prefect momentarily speechless at the spectacle. This transformation is undoubtedly distinct from the true forms of the Octavinelle trio.
"Prefect! Come! Let's chat by the rocks." Rielle points to the enormous coastal rocks, where a flat surface provides a perfect spot to rest. The boy swims over to that location and leans against the rock. The prefect settles beside him, their legs dipping into the water. With their bottoms being conveniently short, they can sit comfortably without soaking their clothes.
"So, what do you think?" Rielle inquires, resting his folded arms on the rock. He gazes at them intently, appreciating the scene from his position as the prefect's face radiantly glimmers in the sunlight.
"It's gorgeous. No wonder Azul kept on insisting on taking me to these parts of Sage's Island." At the mention of another's name, particularly that of the octomer, the prince's heart sank. Due to the events that happened in the interscholastic event, Rielle has grown to have mixed feelings about his childhood friend. Though he managed to get over it after the event, the prefect's mention somehow makes things worse.
"Azul, huh... are you close to him..?" The prefect feels a twinge of panic at the question. They realize that their relationship appears to be anything but friendly. Perhaps bringing up his name was a mistake.
I wasn't jealous before we met
“While I can’t say we’re particularly close... that’s not entirely accurate. I wouldn’t compare his relationship to mine with Ace, Deuce, and the other first-years.” Rielle remains perplexed by his emotions. The prefect casually mentions the names of other boys, yet a weight settles in his heart. Ace? Deuce? The prefect shares a bond with other boys at the school? Unbeknownst to him, his expression darkens. He finds it unsettling that the person he seeks attention from is close to others, especially Azul.
Now every man that I see is a potential threat
"But none of that matters now. I'm glad you're the one who takes me here, Rielle. Maybe someday you can take me to your school."
But now it isn't true
Rielle looks up to the prefect's warm smile. Ah, there it is. Their smile eases all the tension once more. It's all he needs. Rielle craves more. His heart races with an intensity that feels both thrilling and frightening.
Now everything is new
"Prefect..." He gently holds their free hand against the rock, softly caressing it with his thumb. He savors the warmth and the smoothness of their skin. He leans in slightly, his voice a soft whisper, “I’d love to show you everything, every corner, every secret of my world. No one else, just you and me. I only want you to see me, to be with me always.”
And all I've learned
The prefect's smile remains, seemingly oblivious to the storm of emotions swirling within the boy. But that’s alright, Rielle thinks. In time, they will understand, they will see how perfectly they fit together. No one else could ever make them feel this way. Only he could, and that knowledge fills him with an intoxicating sense of purpose.
Has overturned
With a soft smile, he seizes their arm and intentionally drags the prefect into the water. The prefect's heart races wildly from the unexpected turn of events before they can comprehend what just transpired. Everything unfolded in an instant, and a wave of panic washed over them.
I beg of you
Before the prefect can let out a terrified scream in the water, a strong pair of arms encircles their waist, pulling them to the surface. As they emerge from the water, they take a deep breath and slowly begin to regain their composure. The merfolk maintains his grip around the prefect's waist, and together, they drift on the water's surface, with the boy's face resting gently against the prefect's neck. Half of their bodies remain submerged, while the other half basks in the warm glow of the sunset.
Don't go wasting your emotion
"Rielle! Why did you do that?!" The prince remains silent, not answering the question, as he keeps his face nestled against their neck. The prefect can only sigh, pondering how they would manage with their clothes entirely drenched. Gently, his hand brushes against their cheek, and they feel the slight texture of his scaly palm.
"Lay all your love on me."
Unable to hear him, they request him to repeat his words. Rielle lifts his gaze from their neck, displaying a look of adoration. His cheeks flush with pink, and his eyes meet the prefect's. He tightens his grip around their waist while his other hand gently brushes away the strands of hair from their face.
Don't go sharing your devotion
As the sun dips below the horizon, the sky transforms from vibrant orange to deep purple, with the gentle wind providing a melodic backdrop. Time seems to stand still; Rielle wishes to prolong this moment indefinitely. Being so close to his crush, skin touching skin while they float on the water, feels utterly enchanting. Every moment spent apart feels like an eternity, but Rielle knows that soon, they’ll be together, inseparable, just as it should be. His eyes never leave the prefect, a silent promise lingering in the air, unspoken but understood.

I've got a little song recommendation for you!! I've been thinking these days that "El Reloj" from Luis Miguel would fit ace or malleus very well. the song pretty much encapsules very well their fear of the prefect going back to their world with lines like "ella se irá para siempre/cuando amanezca otra vez" (she'll be gone for good/when i wake up again) or "ella es la estrella que alumbra mí ser/yo, sin su amor, no soy nada" (she's the star that lights my being/i, without her love, am nothing)
do you see the desperation.... the (pretty unhealthy) yearning..... the need to be by the prefect's side....
for both, i can see them trying to sabotage (their escape) them coming back home
what do you think abt this.. ive never been this angst pilled ever so I look forward reading your thoughts on this
take your time answering this and take care!!!
Hello againn!!!🩷🩷
OOO this sounds interesting!! 👀 I've never heard of this song before ut after a few listening I can feel the heartbreak and desperation right away especially after reading the lyrics translation!! Quite a heartbreaking song🥹 This is the translation I'm using so I hope it's a correct one!!
When I see Malleus or Ace, or both of them in this scenario, it’s clear that their hearts must be shattered, and nothing can truly fix them 🥹🥹 The prefect's departure is confirmed and they are set to leave; at this point there's nothing that they both could do to stop them💔 The very first picture that comes to mind is Ace groveling on his knees begging the prefect to reconsider, I don't see Malleus being on his knees but he's definitely looking at them with starry eyed holding both of their hands pleading as well.
Yess!! The yearning!!! I love the lines that you mentioned. I can see the first one fitting for Ace, while the second one, which sounds very poetic, is for Malleus. (don't mind me reusing this scenario over and over in my works--) But I could see Malleus coming into the prefect's room at night to watch them in their sleep, comparing them to the stars. No star in the sky could light up his days or nights, and he's about to lose them 💔 While Ace is scrambling about what to do, he dreads the day the prefect leaves; he thought it wouldn't be this soon, but here it is now, just one night away!!
I like these lines specifically, the opening and the last line of the song,
Reloj, no marques las horas, Porque voy a enloquecer
Clock, don't count the hours because I'm going crazy
Detén el tiempo en tu manos
Haz esta noche perpetua
Para que nunca se vaya de mí
Para que nunca amanezca
Stop the time in your hands, make this night perpetual
So she'll never leave my side, so the day won't ever come again.
The first line mostly because it emphasizes the going crazy part ashssh but paired with the last line!!
Imagine Ace and Malleus sneaking into the room at night where the mirror awaits, ready to transport the prefect to their world. Even better, picture both of them arriving simultaneously. It’s the night before their departure, and desperation has taken hold.
Unexpectedly, they encounter each other in the room before either can approach the mirror. Malleus inquires if Trappola shares the same intention as him, to which Ace readily agrees. They both recognize their deep feelings for the prefect; however, they momentarily set aside their rivalry and come to a mutual understanding.
They confess that the prefect’s impending departure has driven them to extremes, and what they are about to do seems like the only solution left for their sanity (if there's any sanity left to cling to, that is). In a moment of determination, they shatter the mirror into countless pieces and leave it in disarray until the next day.
When the morning arrives, everyone is shocked by the state of the destroyed mirror, while Ace and Malleus feign innocence. The prefect, realizing there’s no hope of returning home, drops to their knees in despair, and the two boys, acting innocently, step forward to offer comfort.
The last line fits this so well,
Para que nunca se vaya de mí
Para que nunca amanezca
So she'll never leave my side, so the day won't ever come again.
Ace wraps his arms around the prefect, while Mallus gently holds and caresses their hands. Tears flow down their faces, oblivious to the sinister glances exchanged between the two boys. The only thing that matters now is to heal the emptiness in their hearts and capture their affection.
Thank you for the recommendation! I had fun writing this!!🩷🩷

now playing: secrets - the weeknd
As evening approaches, classes have concluded, and various club activities have commenced. The hallways appear quite deserted, save for a solitary figure leaning against one of the open arched windows. The prefect gazes down at the scene below, observing students strolling by or loitering on the school grounds.
While their mind isn't preoccupied with anything specific, their attention is drawn to a particular individual on the lower level. They might believe that no one notices their silent observation, but there is indeed a certain hunter whose gaze remains fixed upon them. From a distance, the Pomefiore huntsman quietly reveals himself in his own distinctive manner.
"Everybody here wants you, mon amour."
The prefect is startled by the sudden voice beside them. There stands Rook, radiating his charm. He greets them with a grand bow, unexpectedly taking their hand near his face, where a gentle kiss is placed. The feel the warmth of this gesture, with their cheeks slightly redened. Although accustomed to his playful antics, his behavior continues to intrigue them. He is indeed a gentleman, yet uniquely so.
“I didn’t mean to strike terror in your heart, mon trickster.” He gazes at them with apologetic eyes, but he can’t help but admire their figure, much like a connoisseur appreciating a fine piece of art, wishing to savor every intricate detail.
"Ah, je dois rester forte. You have a completely unfair effect on my heart rate right now." He strikes a dramatic pose, his hand lingering over his forehead, while the prefect just giggles at his antics.
“Shouldn’t I be the one to say that?” The smile they flash him warms his heart yet again within just a few minutes of their interaction. “You can’t be here just to surprise me, can you?” They lean casually against the window while gazing at the upperclassman.
For what he is known for, Rook has a deep fascination with uncovering the secrets of various individuals at Night Raven College. However, the one person who consistently intrigues him is the very individual standing before him. With their captivating eyes, enchanting smile, and otherworldly charm, he feels as though their secrets keep slipping away from him, despite his relentless efforts to uncover them. The fact that they are an outsider to this world complicates matters, limiting the resources available for his exploration. Yet, he finds endless joy in dedicating every moment to studying them, whether up close or from a distance, day and night. At this point, he won't deny that it has become his obsession.
"And what do you mean by what you said earlier?"
“Certainly, you possess the utmost beauty, whether it be on Sage's Island or at Night Raven College. It is only natural that many admire you.” The prefect smiles sheepishly at the compliment and is unsure how to respond.
"Don't say that when Vil is here." Rook remains unshaken with his declaration.
"Non! You possess a certain charm that no one in this world could hope to replicate, mon trickster."
He's aware that he is not the only one paying close attention to them. Numerous peers, including the fairest housewarden, also have their sights set on the prefect. Rook can only sigh at the thought of having rivals. But it no longer bothers him too much. Rook only smiles, a hint of something darker in his eyes, because he knows a secret—something precious about the prefect that no one else at school could ever uncover.
Today, he is prepared to investigate further into a particular individual who appears to hold great significance in their life. He dares to suggest that it might even be in a romantic context. The idea of someone else taking up space in their heart causes him more pain than being struck by an arrow. Yet, true to his nature as a hunter, he is determined to delve deeper to uncover the truth. Perhaps someday he would deal with that person in his own way.
"There seems to be someone that you pay attention to these days, mon trickster." Each word that came from his mouth felt heavy in their prefect's ears. With confusion etched across their face, they merely tilted their head in response. The hunter maintained an air of calm. This secret, it turns out, encompasses two matters. Though he's willing to take his time dissecting it. But the prefect is no stranger to his unique antics.
"You think so? I don't remember having favorites other than Grim in this school." They keep their casual composure while somewhat challenging Hunt to elaborate more on his assertion. “So, why don’t you tell me which student you believe I have a preference for?”
The prefect is keenly aware of Hunt's deep understanding of individuals... including details that are not meant to be disclosed. Even someone as unique as them isn't immune to his curiosity; in fact, they suspect it only piques his interest further. This is why they often strive to keep a low profile, even though they realize it rarely works. At times, they can't help but wonder what Rook might have discovered about them that they may have unintentionally revealed. They could only wish he remains unaware of their true knowledge of the world they unwillingly got into.
“Ah, there he is.” Both of them turn their attention to the scene on the ground floor, where a group of first-years is engaged in lively conversation. Rook gestures towards a student wearing a Scarabia vest—he has a warm, charming smile adorned with a dimple, and he comes across as thoughtful and diligent. Rook is not wrong. “He is a fine young man. However, I must confess, I believed you were worthy of someone even better, mon trickster.” Though he is mistaken about the reason behind it. The prefect's expression remains flat.
"There is nothing romantic, I assure you." Their eyes stay fixed on the young man from afar. Their heart clenches instead of the opposite. On the other hand, Hunt's focus is entirely on the prefect, a blend of admiration and a quest for concealed hints about their true feelings. If only their heart were solely his.
"May I ask what your heart desires? mon amour."
"He reminds me of someone in my past. Someone I once knew...” Their voice faded, carried away by the wind. The breeze grew louder, almost a song in its intensity. If it weren't for Rook facing them now, they might not have noticed the subtle sadness woven into their words. An idea creeps into Rook's mind. He stands silently behind the prefect, while their attention is occupied by the boy below.
Rook has seen everything and heard everything. During the quiet nights when everyone is asleep, he picks up on the faint cries emanating from the Ramshackle dorm. Occasionally, he hears unfamiliar names, yet one name resonates more frequently than the rest. When fortune smiles upon him, he might find a journal left open on a desk, featuring that same name accompanied by small illustrations. He has glimpsed them before. In theory, he has encountered that other person.
I hear the secrets that you keep, when you're talkin' in your sleep
“Could it be that the person is the same as…?” As the final syllable escaped his lips, time seemed to freeze for just a moment. The prefect turned to Hunt, eyes wide with disbelief. Memories flooded their mind, and a solitary tear rolled down their cheek. Hearing that name from another person felt strange, particularly from someone from a different world who knows nothing of their past. They quickly look away from the hunter and wipe away their tears. Lips quivering.
"I-it's not what it looks like." Soft sniffles escape from them as more tears continue to fall onto the floor. Rook gently wipes away some of the tears with a tissue he quickly retrieved, offering more to them.
"It's just strange." They struggle to articulate their feelings through the tears, but they persist. “It's not like we ever had a relationship, but their face continues to haunt me. It intensified after I encountered that boy who strikingly resembles them.” Turning once more to gaze out the arched window, the tears have finally ceased to flow.
"If only I could've been more direct with my feelings." Hunt gently encircles the prefect with his arms, careful and deliberate. They welcome the embrace, believing he is simply offering comfort. Unbeknownst to them, however, are the dark, piercing eyes he holds. Although his hat casts a shadow over half of his face, a sinister smile lingers.
“Ah, mon amour. Cast aside your worries, for your existence weaves a tapestry richer than you could ever imagine. You are a rare gem, a breeze that whispers life into our weary souls. This moment heralds the dawn of a new tale.” His embrace tightens as he gently brushes his cheek against theirs, followed by a tender kiss on their cheek. “In the dance of the stars, you are fated to find the one whose heart beats in harmony with yours, someone who will treasure you as the most precious of treasures. Trust in destiny’s gentle hand. You are meant to shine here.”
The prefect, enveloped by the warmth of his words, let themselves sink into the embrace, momentarily setting aside the unease that had settled in their heart. As for Rook, there was never a real obstacle in the way; he simply needed to convince the prefect to trust his words and ultimately release their attachment to that other person. However, there are still some people he must handle before he can whisk them away. And they are much more complex than simply cutting them off.

The campus hallways buzzed with students strolling out of their classes. Some walked in groups, chatting animatedly while carrying their bags.
"Hey, did you hear about what happened to that third year?"
"Is it that guy from Savannaclaw?"
"Yeah, the marks on his leg are brutal! But what's weird is that no one can identify what bit him."
"It happened at night, didn't it? That's what I heard."
"Right, that's why he couldn't tell what it was."
"Shouldn't we be worried about this?"
“I heard that when others were there, even during the same time, nothing dangerous happened.”
"Well, I just hope whatever lurks out there at night won't target us next!"

Howl swiftly departs from campus after his last class, his heart pounding with an intensity only he can feel. On days when there are no club activities, he finds himself irresistibly drawn to the path that leads past the Ramshackle dorm. This routine emerged without him even realizing it; it's as if his very being is compelled to ensure the prefect is safe.
He remains blissfully unaware of just how fiercely protective he can become when they are near. Howl might tell himself it's just a simple crush, but the truth is far more complex and consuming. On occasions when they aren’t in the same class as him, he might make an excuse to visit the restroom just to confirm their presence in class. If Ace and Deuce weren't glued to their side, he would undoubtedly be much more territorial.
Now, as he stands directly before the gates of Ramshackle, the building looks deserted from the outside. The lights are off, indicating that the prefect hasn't returned yet. He remains in place until he hears footsteps approaching from behind. Turning around, he spots the prefect and Grim just arriving home. Their eyes light up with joy at the sight of him, while his tail wags instinctively.
Please, all I did was dream of you
As the sky takes on a yellow hue and the gentle rustling of leaves fills the air, a few strands of the prefect's hair fall across their face. Their gaze locks onto the other, and in that moment, his heart begins to melt.
Swimming in my mind again, wanting to waste time again
But the uncertainty is what keeps him from going too far. He knows that one day the prefect must return to their own world, but the idea of them leaving—especially leaving him—feels utterly unbearable. If he truly loves something, should he let it go? The very thought twists his heart.
There were moments he considered pushing them away, but he always found himself drawn back, unable to resist the gravitational pull they exerted on him. He wants to be happy for them when that day comes, but the thought of not having them by his side makes it impossible.
"Didn't expect to run into you here, Jack. Wanna come along?" Jack ponders for a minute and finally accepts the invitation.
"Yeah, sure."
‧₊˚✩彡
While Grim insists on resting inside first before joining, the prefect and Jack sit beneath a tree in the small clearing in front of the dormitory yard. Surrounded by scattered notes and books, both individuals are engrossed in their studies, diligently working on assignments for the following day's classes. Jack silently looks toward the prefect.
Ease, always so easy with you
As their eyes meet, the prefect shares a smile with him and breaks the silence.
“I'm really glad you're here, Jack. Having a study buddy makes me happy.” Howl smiles gently, relieved that those two Heartslabyul troublemakers aren't trailing them today. It’s rare for him to have some time alone with the prefect, so he truly values this moment.
I don't have to think, pour another drink
Despite the assignments, there are moments like these when he can simply unwind without overthinking. With the prefect by his side, he senses that time flows almost slowly, and he finds himself wishing it would just come to a halt in this serene moment.
“Ah, we can take a break now. I’m almost done, too. How about you?” At this, Howl halts his writing. He reaches for the box of juice they brought from indoors and pours it into two glasses. He hands them a glass, which they happily accept, playfully clinking their glasses together.
And I want it all the time
"I'm with you. Let's just chill for the meantime." The gentle whisper of the wind creates a soothing backdrop, enhancing the comforting ambiance. As the sky transitions to a rich purple hue, they close their notes and take in the breathtaking scenery. Surrounded by the soft sounds of the breeze, they both savor the peaceful silence. Jack glances back at the prefect, contemplating whether he should voice his concerns.
While I'm yours and you are mine
"You look like you have something to say. Wanna talk it out?" His tail once again wags in excitement; he tries his best to remain cool, but the prefect notices and giggles at the sight. Howl takes a deep breath and stares at the sky.
Going steady till we lie, high at sunrise
“Have you ever experienced a sense of uncertainty about your feelings or, like, struggled to express them? Yet, when your heart guides you on how to respond, it simply feels right to follow that instinct.”
All I wanted was to see
The prefect blinks twice while facing him, still pondering how to reply to such a deep question, carefully dissecting it internally. "Well, that's a lot of words to think about." Both of them break into a laugh, further lightening the mood.
Everything you see in me
The conversation shifted to a more relaxed tone, as the tension from earlier seemed to dissipate. “You know,” the prefect continued after a moment, “I think everyone goes through that at some point. It’s like, sometimes you just have to trust your heart, even if it feels confusing at first.”
Everything I wanna be, high at sunrise
Jack feels a sense of satisfaction with the prefect's understanding of his concerns; however, he is once again reminded that they will eventually part ways. This thought weighs on his heart, making it feel a bit heavier. He locks his gaze onto the prefect's eyes as they hum in response.
Stay, stay or just leave me be
“No, please.” They gaze at him, a blend of curiosity and concern evident in their eyes as they hear his quiet plea. Gently, they take hold of his hand.
“Stay.” Jack grips their hand tightly. “Don’t leave me be.”
‧₊˚✩彡
Howl returns to his dormitory after the time spent with the prefect. As he reaches his door and rummages through his bag for his keys, he notices a figure approaching him with a casual stride. A soft laugh echoes from behind.
"Shyeheehee. Don't play coy, Jack. I know you’re the one responsible for that.” Howl glances sideways at the hyena beastfolk behind him, unsure of how Bucchi discovered the truth and uninterested in uncovering the details. To him, this belongs to the past. Jack simply lets out a sigh.
"I didn't know what got to me. But one thing is certain: I don’t want him to get ahead and ask the prefect out. The thought of him with the prefect… it utterly disgusts me.” His fists clench tightly at the thought, while the hyena merely smirks.
“Ah, so you caught that conversation back in the changing room too,” Ruggie chuckles. “No worries, I won’t be telling anyone about it." He eyes the first year's back with his lazy look. He knows he himself is no better than he. "'Cuz I’d probably do the same.”
Bucchi nonchalantly turns away and walks off. “Well, whatever. Just keep doing your thing.” Jack shifts his eyes from the boy, then back to his door. He eventually grabs his key and enters his room as if nothing out of the ordinary had occurred.

hiiii, since I love your fics and I love the song inspired fic thing, can I recommend you some songs for future works ....... some of them are in other languages than english but would you like it????
Hiii omgg thank you for your kind words!! 🩷 YESS definitely!! Non-English songs are also welcome!! Just drop them any time you can. I always love song recommendations!
And honestly, there were some songs recommended in the past that still stuck with me, so if I do get super inspired by it, there is a chance I will write them!! It's just that... it will take a very long time... due to the jumble of other ideas queued in my mind...
I have been thinking about this for awhile but I believe "Every Breath You Take" by The Police Is Yan!Rook's theme song. He's definitely the type to stalk Yuu and follow them around. Hell, he already does that canonically. I think as a Yandere, he stalks Yuu not out of pursuit of beauty (but I think that could be one of the reasons) but as an obsession. He thinks about Yuu all day long and would leave gifts outside of Ramshackle for them. When Yuu has any issues, the item needed to fix that is suddenly outside of Ramshackle or inside their bedroom. Rook also collects multiple candid photos of Yuu and has them all stored in some sort of book album that he treasures and treats like his most greatest prize. I think he has the album hidden somewhere so no one from Pomefiore steals it.
OOOHH I've listened to this song from time to time yet I've never noticed how yandere coded the lyrics are???
I love ur mind👀👀👀 Ahh how attentive and romantic Rook is, doing everything to make the prefect's life easier and he does it all for the love of the game 🩷 Now i dont even know where to start because every line of the lyrics could be applied to any kind of scenarios involving him and the prefect aaghd
Personally I like this part: "Oh, can't you see? You belong to me How my poor heart aches With every step you" I like the idea of him becoming desperate as days go by, imagine him looking through the album he created of Yuu. A single tear comes down, and an enamoured sigh saying that line. Not just photos, when Yuu is asleep, he slowly creeps toward them, snips some of their hair, and pastes them to the album. He admires them every night, and he could never get bored! Then just like the line "I dream at night, I can only see your face," after his nightly activities of admiring his collection of Yuu, he sleeps and dreams of them🩷 But even with all of this, it's never enough!!
"I feel so cold, and I long for your embrace. I keep crying, baby, baby, please." One night, he comes to the ramshackle, straight to Yuu's room. He slowly joins them on the bed, but still makes sure not to wake them up. He embraces them, gradually tightening his hold but still remaining careful enough to not get caught. That night, he was the happiest man alive. He gets to embrace his beloved, inhale their scent, and snuggle into their hair. He sheds a single tear (again), if only good things last forever 🩷
