“I’m sorry, but maybe I’’m trying to clean it up a bit.” She replied once her laughter died down.

“Shabby isn’t bad though.  I think I like the term ‘cozy’.  It feels like your putting yourself into an old warm coat.  And after that cold out there?” He shrugged and smiled at her as he moved over to the counter, looking at the listings of different teas that were there.  “What flavor do you like?  Regular?  Peppermint or something fancy?”

She took the cream. “Thank you very much, Claire. I do appreciate this.”

“Oh. you’re welcome. Just be careful next time. You tend to be accident prone.”

“I’m sorry, but maybe I’’m trying to clean it up a bit.” She replied once her laughter died down.

“Tea for you and coffee for me.  I drink tea all the time at home so this is a nice little change of pace.  ..or maybe hot chocolate..” He perked up at the thought and his eyes widened as he opened the door for her, ushering her in out of the wind so she could get warmed up again.

“Hey, hey. Calm down, I know it’s not safe, but I’ve been doing this since forever. Besides how else Am I going to do it?” 

“Well, that was the first– Usually humans wouldn’t mind too much about us getting hurt.” He smiled at this, “You’re a nice person.” 

Claire’s cheek heated up slightly at the comment. “T-Thanks.. Though this is hardly the time for such things. We need to focus the problem at hand.”

“You really, really don’t need to worry about me, it’s fine. It’s a very delicate piece of equipment. But if you insist…just the thigh is more than okay., I shouldn’t have gone around getting hurt in the first place.”

“Look, you seem young and ready to tackle things on like a Krogan. But seeking help, allowing help, does not make you weak. Again, let me do my job so you can do yours more effectively.” Claire was getting slightly annoyed at this point. 

Probably the from the last time she had been in contact with a species whose mucus (that covered their skin) she was allergic to.

“Apply this every four hours for about three days and it should be good.”  Claire said with a smile, handing her the ointment.

“ If it helps my hair isn’t natural either. But it beats my natural color. ”

Claire chuckled at the comment. “Well, I feel ya there. Great minds think alike I suppose.”
