for irl writers they’re very much cop-outs wrt being new recs but ocean vuong on queerness and hanif abdurraqib on sports…my crack cocaine. i’ve also been working my way thru cameron awkward-rich’s work it’s lovely!! poetry is kind of my first love in language i get a lot of inspiration from it ^_^

for fic writers::: i can’t think of everyone but here’s a few off the top of my head

stellarconfinement: such a gorgeous voice and versatile tone and writes romance/relationships in such a real and visceral way. i am staring at passersby kubrickly showing them my phone open to sccttha.

gwenisimmune: some of my favourite slice of life/timeline fics, captures snapshots of characters & moments so perfectly. AND cracked at dialogue. REF is this allowed!!!

kiindiff: listen i don’t know you just have to read one of their fics. get prepared to be punched in the gut by scene transitions like an a24 movie and such incredibly pretty prose

i do make priv playlists for my fics!! and other people’s fics sometimes too…haha…..they help a lot with figuring out vibes and characterization for me. physically can’t share them though that feels like baring my soul LOL

have some lec drabbles floating around with ppl i’ve never written before so i can wrangle out some new characterizations! and it’s a fun challenge to cut them down to size since i am usually free to yap for like 150 words about a light fixture hehe
