[ 8:26pm ] the rain comes, oblivious to the life it gives. it washes the world, quenching soil and the life whom depend upon it. in either warmth or coldness, sunlight or moonlight, the rain comes just as na jaemin did.
it had been a long day with a never ending pour of life, the brown essence of the earth seemed thrilled as it deepend in color. it sweetened as it swirled in circles, restless in a mug you held while jaemin coated you with himself, along with a blanket.
'you're like the rain sometimes, jaemin.' you said beneath your breath, something just to fill in the blanks as the familiar echoes of raindrops flourish beyond your safe space with him.
he laughs. 'should i take that as a compliment?' hums of a melody resurface, serving as the percussion of your heart beats as you only take shelter under his warm touch to soothen the chaos within. you shifted under jaemin, drawing uncommon lines on the valleys of his palm.
'sometimes... i want to take you away, far away so no one can feel the life you give them.' he perked in curiosity, words he'd not imagine you to conduct by yourself.
jaemin smiled softly, though your back that's turned to him is all he gains in return. he leans in, closer for your hearing to be bare as he kisses the lobe of your ear. 'then take me away, y/n.'
you flinch at the closeness of his breath. perhaps it was the vulnerable, almost mocking way he said your name, the lingering gaze that sets ablaze your wooden heart, or simply how he held you by the waist and squeezed so lightly you wouldn't notice that his scent merged with your own.
still, you loved every bit of it.
'i might just do that, na jaemin.' your lips curled to a smile as you pulled him closer in the reddening of embarassment.
