So today, the 7th of July, is exactly one year since Sly left The Creatures. And damn that went fast. I’ll never forget watching the video that left me a sobbing mess, when Sly announced he would be leaving. It hurt more than I ever thought it could, Sly was always a person that I really looked up to, he was an absolute inspiration and hilarious to watch. And he still is. I would be lying if I said that I didn’t go back occasionally and rewatch old Creature videos with him in them, whether it’s cause I’m revisiting nostalgia or I just particularly miss him more that day. So much has changed and progressed for Sly and The Creatures in the year that he’s been gone, but I love them both all the same. All I want is for Sly to be happy, because honestly, he deserves it so fucking much. And he is happy, which means I’m happy for him. I’ll never stop missing Sly, but to me he will always be a part of the family of gaming nerds, that bring so much joy to my life. I can only hope that maybe one day they can do what they do best, together again. Until then, I’m gonna support them both, as I always have and relish all of the content that they continue to give us.
