Hey,sure I always take questions, even outside the TMI rounds. ^_^

Regardless whether your cage is stainless steel or not, I find it’s most convenient to unlock and clean the device with some soapy water and something like a toothbrush so you can get rid of all the accumulated sweat/body oils/dust between all the bars and bends. Then rinse it off really well and dry the whole cage thoroughly before putting it back on.

However, when you’re going for long-term lock-up, rusting is probably inevitable, because the constant exposure of the device to sweat/moisture will affect steel eventually, unless you bought a high-grade stainless steel cage of course... Most of the cheaper/Chinese chastity cages aren’t made out of stainless steel, so they are likely to start rusting some day. For example, my first metal device was one of those knock-off devices and I wore it on and off for about a year before it started rusting, causing a few discolorations and rough edges.

Anyhow, have fun with your new device, I hope you’ll be able to enjoy it for a looong time. ^_^
