These authors did not check their supplemental data section carefully- or at all. This is really not a very funny example since it’s incriminating, though someone pointed out that the phrase “just make up an elemental analysis” could mean “just perform an elemental analysis” to include here- depending on the author’s nationality and/or first language. Still. Ugh.

"Enclosed … is our re-re-re-revised revision of our paper. Choke on it." Admit it, we’ve all wanted to send in a letter like this- maybe just about every time we submit a revision. This anonymous author did- though I think it may be a bit tongue-in-cheek. You think?

Today’s easter egg comes courtesy of a perfectly reasonable acronym being employed that just happens to be a pretty offensive word in English. This is actually a pretty understandable error by these non-English speakers (I’m assuming) publishing in a Chinese journal.
