RP: something for the people melting in the southern hemisphere
Pulse, who up to now had been resting peacefully inside the memory space of AMABILIS, was woken by the sound of someone pounding on the monitor glass.
"Pulse! Pulse! Pulse! Wake up wake up wake up wake up!!!"
It was Sato. (He's actually down for a name change but for right now you are free to keep calling him Sato.)
"Ugh..."
Not that he was upset about it being Sato, just that... when he had the time to rest, he generally preferred getting as much rest as he could.
"W-what is it...?"
"Come out here, I wanna show you! Come on!"
"Okay... okay... here I come..."
A moment later, he had exited through the monitor and substantiated in the center of the Lab Trio's basement terminal room, where they were able to relocate the ultracomputer and its many server stacks some time ago to allow for better security.
The passage leading from this room up to the studio apartment, owned by Ken, was a small elevator. Sato, wearing a thick jacket over similarly warm clothes, was headed for this elevator, gesturing excitedly for Pulse to follow.
"What?"
"Come see!"
"What? What is it?"
"Come see!"
Once they reached the ground floor of the apartment, Sato took Pulse by the arm and nearly dragged him over to the nearest window that looked out onto the street.
"Look!"
Pulse craned his neck to peer out the window, the edges of which were covered in frost. The sky outside was white, and there were traces of white stuff lining the gutters in the road. Scattered patches of white covered some of the roofs on nearby buildings.
"Oh, it... snowed."
Sato cheered.
"They already cleared out the streets, but the park's still covered in it. Let's go and build some snowmen or something!"
He had already run off to find his good boots, while Pulse remained by the window, staring out at the winter scene. Humans were strange. They hated it when it rained (as did he) but somehow enjoyed it when it was cold and the water was frozen. It didn't matter one way or another to Pulse, it was still water, although when it was cold enough it didn't have the same effect on him or his powers.
Sighing, he left the window to go find his scarf.
