hey psa to my fellow fat ppl: a few tips + tutorials for upsizing clothing that’s too small, that way if you’ve grown out of certain stuff and can’t afford new things, you can make it fit you– this has helped me a lot in the past
my tips:
cutting off just the neckline of a shirt/dress can help SO much
cutting slits on the sides of tight shirts helps relieve tightness + you can add an accent fabric, lace, or fishnet material under there for an extra design element (or safety pin it back together for a really cool punk look!)
you can do that same thing with sleeves but i recommend doing it underneath (either on the seem if it has one or to the seem that connects it to the shirt)
adding false pleats to skirts/dresses by cutting them up the sides and in the front and adding an accent fabric works really well with tightness around the legs
you can do a lot of these side-cut things to pants but if you do, it’s a good idea to add elastic to the waist band!
tutorials:
4 ways to upsize shirts
how to refit/re-elastic a waistband for a better fit
more upsizing shirts!
making a lace insert dress (could be substituted for other things like mesh/fishnet)
increasing the waist band on jeans
how to enlargen shorts
expanding a dress (from the bottom)
expanding a dress (from the bust)

Chants to Charge Crystals with Intent
I find it easier to charge things with intent if I have something like a chant to focus on, so here you go
For psychic stones
Clear of mind, clear of sight
I can see the future bright
For power and catalyst stones
With your power fuel my spells
Hopes and dreams and wishing well
For emotional healing stones
Take what’s broken, make it whole
Heal all the wounds of my soul
Grow again straight and true
Bring all that’s good to full bloom
For manifestation stones
As the Magician to me reminds
The world is affected by my mind
To my thoughts it responds in kind
I’ll go forward at my best
To north, to south, to east, to west
Let all my hopes be manifest
For plant growth stones
My garden is green
My garden will grow
This I see
This I know
For physical protection stones
In this place I am safe
With this stone I am safe
As I go I am safe
As I am I am safe
For emotional protection and depression dispelling stones
Darkness, sadness, anger, hate
Sorrowful energies be dispelled
Fragile feelings of love and light
Will be protected safe and sound
For self love and healing stones
In my heart and mind I know
The strength to love myself and grow
For grounding stones
Water cleans me
Fire burns in me
Air holds me
Earth supports me
Spirit moves me
And I am free
For luck and success stones
Luck, power, success I find
I can make the future kind
For sleep and good dream stones
Dreams be kind, dreams be sweet
Let me have a gentle sleep
Crash course on fake stones/misrepresentations
Because I have been too lazy to type this all up.
Quartz:
If your quartz has teeny air bubbles it’s glass.
If it’s got a fruit name it’s dyed. End of story. (strawberry, cherry, lemon, pineapple, blueberry) yes there may be some very rare exceptions-fire quartz being dubbed strawberry- but due to the rise in fakes with that name it’s generally called fire quartz now.
Aura quartz is a regular quartz that’s been bonded with another material. (man made)
Cinnabar Infused Quartz usually reconstituted and mixed together to make a red crystal.
Green quartz can be grown in a lab and anything that forrest green color is
Turquoise:
Magnesite and howlite look very very similar to turquoise when they’ve been dyed, magnesite will have very deep cracks in it though.
No there is no white turquoise.
You can do a uv test to see if it’s real
Amber
Often faked with Copal. They look nearly identical.
Amber will float in salt water-copal will not.
Irradiated/dyed stones:
Very vibrant colors!!
Irradiated: (they irradiate the crystals to get a deeper or more vibrant color)
deeply pigmented topaz or kunzite
dark (almost black) smokey quartz
very deep pink or red tourmaline
colored diamonds
some cultured pearls
vibrant yellow heliodor
Dyed:
Pearls
Agate
coral
other stones may be dyed as well, generally if it looks fake..it is.
Heat treated stones: (really not a bad thing but if you’re going for natural)
Amethyst-lighten color+remove brown
Citrine-heat treated amethyst.
Aquamarine-remove green
Ruby-clearer stone
Sapphire-clearer stone
Rainbow Cal-Silica
Nope, completely fake 100%
Literally just car paint layered with calcite and resin.
Citrine: (im so sorry)
Much of the citrine on the market is lab made.
If it’s lab made it’s usually amethyst that’s been heated until it changes color
The bottom of these stones will be white with more color at the tips.
srry
Lapis Lazuli:
High quality is vibrant blue, hard to come by, and very expensive.
Low quality howlite, jasper or sodalite is dyed blue, and passed off as lapis.
Acetone will remove the dye but damage the stone.
Obsidian:
The clear green obsidian you see all over ebay is slag glass.
Natural green obsidian has been found but it is opaque and is more gray than green.
there is red obsidian as well but again, it’s not a vibrant red and is more brick colored.
Wikipedia is not always right.
Goldstone:
it’s glass it’s legitimately just glass
Opalite:
also glass.
real opalite exists but it’s green and not commonly found
once again, don’t believe everything on wikipedia.
Bismuth:
Doesn’t naturally form in the crystals, lab made!!!
rlly pretty though
Hematite:
Not naturally magnetic!
Magnetic hematite is 100% man made!
I’ll add more as I come across them~
Jade:
Real jade is p. heavy! A way to tell if it is real is that it’ll be heavier than it looks.
Jade is faked with the following:
Serpentine “New Jade” or “Olive Jade”
Prehnite
Aventurine quartz
Grossular garnet “Transvaal jade”
Chrysoprase “Australian jade”
Malaysia Jade- dyed quartz that may be called by its color – Red Jade, Yellow Jade, Blue Jade
Opaque dolomite marble “Mountain Jade” (usually dyed)
Dragon vein agate:
Quench cracked, bleached, and dyed agate and some is quench cracked, and dyed glass.
Snowflake obsidian:
Being faked with a very low grade cheap dalmatian jasper.!
Snowflake will be gray while Dalmatian should have a lighter color
Hollow galena:
A lot of pieces have been proven to have been faked through sand blasting + similar techniques (but there may be real ones I’m not 100%)
Charoite:
Chinese Charoite doesn’t exist.
If it’s called that then it’s not real, real charoite isn’t banded and is more swirly.
Moldavite:
Very very commonly faked!!
Biggest giveaway is the ‘wet’ look a faked piece has due to the molding process
White moldavite doesn’t exist!!
Sunspar:
It’s really just yellow Labradorite, which isn’t a v rare gem
i can confirm that this is 100% correct, most of the moldavite out there is literally just green glass. Like, if it looks like green glass that’s exactly what it is. True moldavite is very fragile but uh, u don’t exactly wanna test it by throwing it around or putting it in water :\ also a lot of people get a strange feeling called a ‘moldavite flush’ when handling it. Basically for gemstones u really wanna go to a reputable store and ideally in-person if you can. Also real citrine (as opposed to heat treated amethyst) is generally a lot lighter in colour.
Another thing about hematite - EVERYONE SHOULD FAMILIARIZE THEMSELVES WITH HEMALYKE.
Hemalyke (also hemalike or hematine) is reconstituted hematite. That means it does have some hematite in it, yes, but it also has a bunch of fillers. It’s like the hot dog of gemstones.
There are tons and tons of shops out there, especially in the magic community, that will mislabel this brand of products as hematite. If you look at the stuff on Fire Mountain Gems, you’ll see a lot of the Hemalyke jewelry you’ve probably seen mislabeled as hematite in Etsy shops and from real life vendors. I’m a jewelry artist, and I use Hemalyke in a lot of pieces (and always label it as such). I’ve seen the same generic pendants in a dozen other places, mislabeled as hematite every time. So be aware of what you’re getting, because there’s a lot of this stuff out there.

Specific Areas of Healing
The following will address certain areas of healing and the best scents and oils to help you. This being said these are ASSISTS, if you are suffering from a condition these may help but you should never neglect professional medication prescribed by doctors. For a good portion of my life I’ve suffered from Insomnia, lavender and citrus oils helped for awhile but as time grew on and my condition got worse I had to get prescribed Melatonin. It never makes you less of a witch to use prescribed or un-prescribed medication.
“When you start working with essential oils to address health issues, begin with just one symptom or issue you would like to heal. Focusing on that, limit your selection to only a few essential oils. Once you have all the basics down, you can create your own wonderful oil blends and also determine which are best used as perfumes, in bath salts, or added to melted candle wax at the base of a candle (never add while the candle is lit).” - The Good Witch’s Guide by Shawn Robbins and Charity Bedell
Stress
Several essential oils can be effective for relieving stress. Stress often has side effects, including anxiety, upset stomach, and rapid breathing. One essential oil that works well on stress and anxiety is peppermint. It relaxes the mind and body and helps with digestion. Lavender is another good choice, as it relaxes muscles and the vapors can help regulate breathing.
Pain and Muscle Tension
Muscle tension is something many of us deal with. When using essential oils for pain relief from muscle tension, the best approach is to create a massage oil to rub into the affected area. If you are trying to relax muscles and ease pain, allspice is an excellent choice. Geranium essential oil is a good alternative - it reduces inflammation and muscle tension and provides stress relief.
Chest Congestion
The common cold, the flu, and seasonal allergies can all result in chest congestion, so this ailment can happen at any time of year. To use essential oils to relieve chest congestion, apply a few drops of diluted oil across the chest and massage them into the skin. The best oil for congestion relief is eucalyptus oil, which can break up congestion from coughs, colds, flu and allergies and helps restore proper breathing. Thyme oil is another excellent choice for relieving congestion.
Concentration and Focus
Everyone sometimes has difficulties with concentration and focus. This can result from a lack of sleep, stress, anxiety, depression, or a reaction to life events. To use essential oils for help with focus and concentration, apply a few drops to the temples, middle of the forehead, and base of the neck. Rosemary is an excellent oil when you need to focus intently or commit things to memory. Spearmint helps relax and calm the mind, which promotes mental clarity.
Fatigue
Many people feel exhausted at the end of the day even if they think they’re getting enough sleep. The best way to use essential oils for issues related to energy and fatigue is to apply a few drops to your wrists and rub them in. Lemon or lime oil work great here. Both of them uplift mood, relieve fatigue, and provide mental clarity and focus. Lemon also helps balance the nervous system.
Insomnia
Many people just can’t seem to fall asleep. Apply a few drops of essential oil to your forehead and at the base of the neck and see if the soothing scents relax your mind and body. Lemon balm is an excellent oil for this, as it addresses anxiety and stress and promotes restful sleep. Ylang-ylang oil can also help you sleep, and it relieves muscle pain that may be getting in the way of a good night’s sleep.
Anxiety
This is a horrible issue that involves the physical and mental body. Physical symptoms many include anxiety or panic attacks, asthma attacks, feelings of paralysis, and tremors. Nonphysical symptoms many include clouded thoughts, racing mind, feelings of confusion, and a sense of being disconnected. To treat anxiety with essential oils, apply one drop each to the forehead, base of the neck, wrists, and along the collarbone or upper chest. Chamomile, lavender, and lemon balm are excellent oils for relieving anxiety and relaxing the body.

Litha Peaceful Home Potion
Hi guys! It’s been a while since my last post! Today I wanted to share with you a Peaceful Home Potion I made to celebrate Litha and invite the sun, light, summer and all the peace it brings, into my home. I’ll show you step by step with pictures! Long post!
Litha is all about light, blessings, celebration life and the positive vibes in general. I decided to make two potions today. One for my home, and the other one for my best friend’s place. This potion will bring peace to your home and potentiate the love it already has. It is important to say that even tho this is a potion, you shouldn’t drink this! Its power comes not only by itself but when you, your partner, or anyone that lives in your home feels some kind of anger, depression, rage, stress or any kind of negative feeling, you should open the vial and smell it. This way, the potion’s power grows and helps the person that smelled it, to remember that life is not always problems, but happiness and joy. It helps yoy remember that even you had a feud with your family, at the end of the day, love is what keeps you together.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 12 chamomile flowers
- 6 fire vine flowers
- 12 white rose petals
- 6 white sea lavander flowers (or 1 stem with a few flowers)
- 2 cypress leaves
- 1 honeycomb
- Salt
- Sun water or Moon water
- 1 medium size shell
- Your favorite Litha related crystals
- 2 chips of crystals to put in the potion (I used white and rose quartz)
- Bamboo essential oil (or any plant/flower essential oil you have)
- Orange essential oil (or you can use a few drops of a fresh orange)
- 2 vials or jars with a cork or lid
- Your cauldron
STEPS:
1. Cleanse your materials
Cast a circle using the salt. Use the sun water at the top and light both candles at each side. Place in the center of the circle the amount of flowers, petals and crystal chips that you want to use. Put your hand on top and moving it desoil, repeat this words:
“Clean above so as below, cleanse these materials for positive to grow”
Repeat as you feel needed.
2. Grind some herbs
Put some of the chamomile (6 flowers), fire vines (4), and rose petals (8) in your cauldron. You can use one of your bigger crystals around the circle to grind them, or use any tool you desire.
3. Mixture
Add Sun water to your cauldron and make a mixture. I used a shell as a measurement tool. I only used 1 shell. As you continue to grind the herbs deosil, repeat this words:
“As the bee comes and goes, make this a peaceful home, let the sun shine on those, whom live with love in this honeycomb”
Repeat as needed.
4. Start filling the vial
I divided the mixture into two jars, but you can make only one or more than two if you wish. Tho the recipe is for two or one bigger jar.
5. Add the honey comb and chamomile
Still having your intention in mind, continue with the next ingredients. I used two pieces if my main honeycomb, in each potion (around 5cm long and 1cm wide). Cut each piece in two so it’s easier to handle. Add 3 of the remaining chamomile flowers in each potion.
6. Rose petals, fire vines and chips
The next three ingredients are one fire vine each, two semi-crushed rose petals, and one crystal chip in each jar.
7. Cypress leaves
Cut the cypress leaf into smaller pieces and add an equal amount to each vial. I used around 8-10 in each.
8. Sea lavander
Just like you did with the cypress, you can cut each flower and equally add them to the jars. What I like to do is add only the petals.
9. Fill with Sun/Moon water
Again using the shell, fill the vials with water. Be careful not to overfill them, so when you put the cork, the water won’t spill everywhere. I used around 6 shells in each, but it will be different as our jars might not be the same size :). In the picture below, the jar in the right is already filled and the left one is almost there.
10. Essential oils
The jar itself already must smell delicious, but I will recommend adding two drops of your favorite essential oil (I used Bamboo). This way every time you smell it, not only will you love it, but it will remind you of a peaceful scenery. I also added 2 drops of orange essential oil, you can also use two drops of a fresh orange. As a reminder that we’re doing this as a Litha celebration.
11. Take a deep breath
Smell the deliciousness and peace of the potion you just made. Repeat the words one last time before closing the vial:
“As the bee comes and goes, make this a peaceful home, let the sun shine on those, whom live with love in this honeycomb”
Close your jar with the cork. Put it in a place that is near a living room, the kitchen, or somewhere in your house that normally everyone will spend time together. The sabbats are holidays celebrated throughout the year on solstices, equinoxes, and the midpoints between them. These sabbats form the Wheel of the year.
There is a controversy surrounding the dates of these holidays, as people celebrate them all over the earth, not only in the northen hemisphere but in the southern too.
One viewpoint is that the Sabbats should be celebrated as they were originally created to be… in other words, Samhain is October 31st, regardless of where you live. In the Southern Hemisphere, even though you are just gearing up to summer on October 31st, this perspective says that you celebrate the cleansing and releasing, the honouring of the dead just as you would if you lived in the Northern Hemisphere. The other viewpoint (the one I personally agree with) is that you should celebrate when you feel like the season corresponds with the holiday, in other words, your craft, your rules. So if you live in the southern hemisphere, you have the choice.
I’ll be writing the dates for each holiday starting with the northen hemisphere and then the dates that many people celebrate them in the southern hemisphere
