if we can put our thinking hats on for a second we can ask ourselves why tetsuji was handed a coach role and his own team when kayleigh was relegated to being an ambassador instead. a lot of us assume it was moriyama madness, but the moriyamas, famously, wanted nothing to do with exy up until the point kengo died. if kayleigh went through with the decision of putting exy in the backlog for motherhood, she would have been pushed out of the scene entirely—she would have been kevin’s mother, yes, but allowed to be nothing else. perhaps her decisions were selfish and egoistical and focused solely on her own ambitions, but isn’t that pretty in line with what we expect from kevin, anyway? the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree for a reason

(Also I am taking this as an opportunity to share my Headcanon that Andrew and Aaron both have a lot of acne/acne scars. I have no reason for it other that that’s just how I pictured them the first time I read the books🤷‍♂️)
