So I wrote a Christmas fic! This is part of the @marauderssecretsanta, and it was written as a gift for @fictionalsimp09.

Summary:

Remus Lupin is a reclusive author, and Christmas night is yet another quiet evening in his solitary routine. Countless Christmases have passed this way, and he’s content with the stillness, really (or so he likes to tell himself). This year, though, something straight out of a dream happens: a twist of fate—or perhaps a touch of Christmas magic—brings his most beloved character to life.

Or: Remus is a writer, Sirius is the character he wrote. Or is he?

Instance of Happenstance (or "the tarot fic"as I've been calling it all along) is finally completed on ao3, and I drew a little piece of art to acompany it.

Summary:

Sirius Black has everything in his life sorted—except for one small detail: he’s yet to find true love. Since his usual methods (aka dating apps) don’t seem to be working, he decides to leave it to the hands of fate. He’ll let an ancient deck of Tarot Cards guide his every move and hope that this will lead him to the arms of his true soulmate.

Spoiler alert: it does work, of course—but not without a few unexpected twists and turns along the way.
