mother nature is quaking

❝         i’ve   never   been   too   fond   of   candles .         ❞         an   odd   topic,      to   begin   with,      stolen   wax   made   to   burn   for   humans   to   enjoy   the   night   but   alas   it’s   too   late   for   matvey   to   concern   themselves   with   this   particular   human   foolery .      but   it’s   not   really   about   this   matter,      it’s   the   woman   in   front   of   them   and   her   aura   that   makes   leaf-like   words         (         oh   so   weightless         )         crumble   from   their   mouth .         ❝         or   rather   i   don’t   mind   the   light,      of   course,      but   the   lighting;      the   little   flame         —         well,      i   guess   one   could   say   it’s   more   the   fire   that   i   dislike   than   the   actual   candle   but,      really,      it   all   goes   hand   in   hand .         ❞

animals   come   to   mind   and   their   freedom   within   the   confines   of   nature   but   humans   want   to   differ .         (         they   don’t .      not   to   matvey   at   least .         )         but   as   words   fall   they’re   reminded   of   oh   so   many   earthly   things;      mortality   and   the   lack   of   time   humans   suffer   down   to   the   amount   of   concern   that   must   be   assigned   to   bodily   functions .         ❝         i   wouldn’t   know .         ❞         their   matter   is   hollow,      wood   turned   flesh   and   pressed   together   just   for   show .         ❝         however,      i   doubt   they   are   upset   for   no   reason .         ❞

❝         it’s   quite   an   old   profession .         ❞         they   remember   when   it   all   started,      remember   the   terror   spread   and   false   glory   earned   but   their   distaste   stays   concealed .         ❝         i   reckon   as   a   private   you   have   to   start   small .      but   be   honest,      what   exactly   were   you   expecting ?         ❞

figures   of   speech   are   always   so   funny   to   them,      hard   to   understand   and   yet   endlessly   amusing   in   their   own   way .      the   pitter   patter   of   absurd   surface   thoughts   keeps   them   entertained   as   their   own   ideas   swirl   through   teeth   filled   mouth         (         for   instance,   it   ought   to   be   known   that   human   poison   rarely   works   on   them         )         but   what   they   voice   is   different .         ❝         i   would   rather   not   have   something      —      uuh   nevermind,      i   believe   you   might   have   a   better   knowledge   of   this,      i’ll   have   whatever   you   give   me .         ❞                                    /    @manfredstone·
