DIY: Decorating your keys.
Having trouble telling your keys apart? Probably not, but that was an issue for me. I started to go have copies made with those decorative keys that start at $2.97 a piece at WalMart, or buying the things that go on top of your keys, but then I got an idea...
Decorate your keys with nail polish!!
Quick, simple, cute, and free.
Start by applying 2-3 coats of your desired color, waiting 3-5 minutes between each coat or set the keys in front of a fan for 1-2 minutes for quicker results
You can also apply a coat of glitter polish (like my pink key)
Apply a top coat for a even finish
If you want to paint both sides (you should), wait 30 minutes to an hour gently flip over and repeat steps 1-3. Be very careful because the polish may not be completely dry. It also helps if you do this on saran wrap or a sandwich bag.
Let dry overnight to ensure durability.
And there you go! Now my keys are adorable and I can tell them apart, even when I forget to turn on the porch light.
