Obviously, Trigun isn't over for me, because I keep thinking of a few scenes I'm more or less sure happened off-screen in Stargaze, like:
Update (adding here for the sake of the right order): Wolfwood digging through the rubble in search of Vash's gun! Him coming to the site some time after the tragedy, spending weeks? months? turning over debris, literally sleeping near that crater.
This, or him noticing the gun in possession of some scavenger, and intimidating them into giving it to him, hehe.
- Ark rescue scene: Wolfwood helping Vash dress (whether you ship it or not, I think, with the state Vash was in (half-carried by Woowoo, then COMPLETELY taken over by him) he'd need a shi-- a lot more time to dress on his own, than they had, and somebody would have caught them earlier)
- Night after the Wolfwood VS Razlo battle: Vash and Livio standing in the doorway of the orphanage room, where Wolfwood is resting, while Melanie wipes blood off his face (Wolfwood with NO JACKET, Livio with his hair down, wearing normal clothes)
- Wolfwood and Livio talking, Woowoo sharing his story (maybe), Livio remembering the moment he recognized Nico on the sand steamer (let's assume he can remember that after the big brain bang), Wolfwood feeling terrible about the "I'll have to kill you myself" decision
- Vash talking to Emilio like he promised (super unsure about the "when", but super sure they DO get to that talk. I'm also sure Emilio is patient, so, maybe even post-Stargaze on the ship? They'd finally have lots of free time)
I also can't stop thinking about what happens post-canon, on their way to the stars : )
I imagine something along the lines of:
- Vash running around the ship with the orphanage kids, including Livio, Wolfwood being the tired babysitter he voluntarily signed up to be
- The kids, Wolfwood, Livio, and the girls seeing No Man's Land from space for the first time, all standing with their palms glued to the window, staring out with those big eyes full of wonder, Woowoo forgetting he's a stoic samurai and saying "wow" out loud, Vash looking at his beloved humans with a smile
- So what if Chronica and Domina didn't get screen time? They have to be there somewhere. Them meeting Vash. They could do a video-call, or come to visit on a shuttle. All three of them would sit down to talk. They'd want to know everything, and Vash would be hesitant to tell. If they're telepaths like Vash (forgive me here, I still have to finish the manga, so I don't know everything about them yet), they could just, I don't know, touch him and see his full story. Domina would cry. Chronica would freeze. They'd hug Vash. Come on! He deserves a hug from sisters!
Wow, I should probably wrap this up, before it gets completely out of hand, haha :) Might add something later, who knows?
