Jerome had just finished wiping dried blood from his tawny feathers when an anguished cry reached his ears. “Someone needs my help.” The Angel realized, taking flight immediately. He followed the person’s voice, eventually landing in a swampy area. “Hello?” Jer called out as an uneasy feeling settled in his gut. Eventually, he came across the person in question— their form was nearly unrecognizable as they were covered in fetid swamp water.

A creature that looked like a blob (for lack of a better word) was pulling the helpless stranger towards it.

Without hesitation, Jerome intercepted the monstrosity and took hold of its victim. Feathered limbs unfolded to their full wingspan before shielding the stranger’s frail body.

Jerome focused on caring for the person he’d rescued; he wiped away mud from their face and blinked in surprise. “Thank Heavens you’re alive!” He continued wiping their body, smearing more mud on himself in the process.

Hazelnut orbs flickered a warm golden hue when the Seraph placed his palms upon the stranger, healing any minor injuries they had.

The blob let out loud gurgles and hastily retreated. It probably felt threatened by the Angel’s presence.

Panting lightly, the wolf was unaware that he'd been saved by the blob. "Where am I?" Scott breathed out, confusion draped across his face and dripped in his tired voice.

The last thing he could remember was strolling through the woods.

His minor wounds began to disappear. Latching a palm on the Angel's wrist, Scott was wide eyed then. "You saved me." He stated with a small breath.
