All Ambrose could do was smile at Charlotte. Indeed he had left the bank books out again, but in good faith that his young daughter would look upon them and learn from it's pages. For generations the Highmore Family were England's top banking company, still family owned and operated to it's core. It made sense for his children to take a liking to it like he had when he was small boy. He picked up Charlotte and held her in his arms, embracing the warmth the child gave him. He never thought he would have a child, let alone two. As the child sassed him, he chuckled but gave a bit of a stern look. Charlotte was indeed his daughter alright, with the attitude of her mother, the Lady Dianna.
