She knew she was one of many— how many, she never knew. But if her love no longer lived in him, why would he come find her the moment she was free?
You thought you were one of many— how many, I have no clue. You wondered if your love meant nothing, but why else would I come back the moment I knew you were free?
-Yash
By some unspoken design — they met again. His smile — a memory returning home. Her eyes — a fire reigniting, as if no time had passed the moment their gazes touched. No explanations needed. No word…
Hi — it’s been a long time.
I’m stepping back into writing and sharing more openly again. I’m publishing my poetry on WordPress and sharing what I’ve learned about redefining success, creating a meaningful life, and finding your way back to yourself on Substack.
It would mean a lot to have you with me on this journey. Thank you for being here.
Here is my newest poem:
My Beloved
By some unspoken design — they met again.
His smile — a memory returning home.
Her eyes — a fire reigniting,
as if no time had passed
the moment their gazes touched.
No explanations needed.
No words for the past.
Only echoes whispering:
I remember you.
Like moths to a flame,
they returned.
Holding each other like a confession.
No promises.
No future.
Forgiveness for the years
they let slip by in silence,
disguised as touch.
At dawn, he woke first.
Watched the light stretch across her face —
the same softness that once undid him.
He loved her, but needed air.
She loved him, but needed saving.
Neither could give what the other lacked.
With more sorrow than they understood,
not yet knowing what it would mean,
they parted.
Yet sometimes —
they felt the other’s presence:
a whisper across distance,
a name shimmering in the river of memory.
Fated to this endless prophecy:
some connections are not meant to be lived forever —
only felt.
They did not know
that still, in the quiet,
each held hope.
That just this once,
somewhere beyond the years
and all their endings,
their souls would meet again —
knowing that,
against all odds,
they had found each other.

The Moment That Mattered
It was supposed to be simple, something small enough to hide between the folds of night and the quiet hours of morning— two people trying not to feel so lonely, two hearts pretending they weren’t learning the shape of each other.
But the story with them never finished. It just stopped. Paused mid-breath, mid-heartbeat, with no ending written, no final thread cut— only a silence where something once lived that neither of them dared to name.
He once spoke of love softly, as if the air might break under the weight of it. Spoke of futures not yet born, of sunlight on little faces that would carry pieces of them both. And she didn’t know, then, how deep those words would sink or how long they would echo.
Because people don’t forget relationships that felt infinite, even if they were brief. Time doesn’t dull everything— some memories crystallize instead, sharp as first breath, warm as last light. And she carries him still like a pressed flower in the pages of her life— not blooming, not fading, just there, unchanged.
Some people carry one specific memory for the rest of their life— not as regret, but as a moment that mattered. And she wonders, sometimes, if he does too— if the same quiet flicker rises in his chest when the night is soft and the world is still and the past drifts close enough to touch.
“Be with someone who will take care of you. Not materialistically, but take care of your soul, your well being, your heart.”
— Unknown
The person you are becoming requires you to let go of the person you were.
