Hi hello, I am writing a book and here is one of the main characters:

This is Knight. He is a species of dragon that has scales that produce a fake gold substance. The species was created by an ancient religious figure related to a major draconic religion, so when he hatched into a related cult, he was immediately taken to their leader to be given special lessons every day. He was hatched along with a sister named Bark, the only two in their clutch. Knight and his family were elevated in status and given a new home to live in due to that. Their family was treated differently because of Knight— and anyone remotely related to the dragling was also raised in status. At least socially they were. However, they were not treated the way he was.
Knight got special lessons from their leader while his sister went to school. Since their entire town was set up and controlled by their leader, this was the only life they knew. Despite that fact, he did notice that his sister was treated differently than him. His initial family was his mother, his father, and his sister. For several years it was just them and things appeared to be great. When his other sister, Angel, came along, everything began to slowly get worse. Their mother began getting sick, the difference between how he was treated and how his sisters were treated was more noticable, and Knight started to get more lessons that began opening him up to ideas the leader wanted to instill into him. Some years after Angel, the twins Ouro and Boros hatched from a single egg. Their mother got worse after laying them, and shortly after their father escaped to go find a cure for her illness. However, leaving caused the extended family and town to shun them as punishment for letting him leave.
Knight was under a lot of pressure to preform normalcy and keep up appearances now that everyone was shunning the rest of his family due to his father. This pressure combined with the dysfunction at home due to their mothers illness degrading her mentally and physically, and with one last sibling on the way some years after the twins, nothing was getting better. One night he made the decision with Bark to escape and head off to the woods so they could live a normal life.
And that is where the book will hopefully pick up, years later when their newest sibling has hatched and been raised in the forest by Knight and the others.
Knight himself is a pretty level-headed dragon who takes charge out of necessity. He is working most of the time, and will make himself uncomfortable so that his family is comfortable or safe. He prioritizes his siblings over himself and is always trying to find ways to make their lives better or easier. His main want is to raise his youngest sibling without the influence of draconic religion.
And that's basically Knight so far. I gotta hammer out some more things, but that's who he is so far. If you got questions my askbox is open (please ask me stuff I love being asked stuff)
