American artist Katie Vernon from Chipmunk Cheeks is a nature lover at heart. With a quirky dry sense of humor, who has experience working with alpacas and being a florist, she is purely inspired by nature, specifically its mountainous beauty.

She composes minimalist ink drawings of a variety of animals, whose silhouettes are partially covered by blooming flowers. The bursting flowers fill in the signature luscious body parts, which include a lion’s mane, a squirrel’s fluffy tail, birds’ feathers and deer’s signature horns.
