I’m Still Baffled This Name Wasn’t Taken

The university I worked at was somewhere between Autumn Mountain and the Overlook Tower. It was renowned for its view wonderful of the mountains! Unfortunately, there were only two windows in my classroom, and they were in the very back… I still enjoyed what I had though!

A month or two after I returned from my stay in the desert I received a grant from the toad who lived in a mansion. He offered to pay for basic commodities and a hotel room on any future travels, so long as I donate all of my findings to the Musée Champignon. I was more than happy to oblige, since I’d essentially already been doing that; the curator of the museum was actually my uncle, and he was one of my biggest inspirations and advocates for traveling and studying archeology!

Second, They don’t actually, although now I’m thinking that would’ve been a good idea.. I’ll keep it in mind for the next drawing!

The pens are actually colors taken directly from the mountains. I already had my red pen that I kept clipped to my shirt, and I figured a matching green pencil might look nice.

As for the flowers, I usually picked them from the abundant patches of wildflowers that grew around the campus. There were so many, I figured it couldn’t hurt to pick just one or two every now and then.

Occasionally I’d pick some of the flowers growing in Picnic Road instead, since those are so vibrant, but then I’d have to carry them during the whole tram ride, and that might be tedious and a little weird, so that was usually reserved for special occasions.

I’ve been working on the Sandpaperian alphabet! :D Don’t mind the empty columns, I was going to put lowercase letters there but generally they tend to just look like a smaller version of their corresponding uppercase letters.

There’s a website that lets you make your own font, if I can find a way to make that work then I’d be happy to send that here as well.

I’d also like to note that this is not the full version of the alphabet, however there wasn’t a good way to represent the full list of characters with a standard keyboard. I plan on making a post with the remaining Sandpaperian letters, as well as some examples of unique characters that show up in the texts.

That’s all for now though! You’re all free to use this if you’d like, no credit needed. Nintendo didn’t really bother to make a proper, functioning alphabet so I tried organizing what I had to go with. Some of the texts are even repeated with completely different translations…
