the point isn’t, has never been, will never be, that dan and phil are dating. that’s not where the excitement comes from. it’s the fact that we all assumed that even though they have been more open in recent years, have come out, joked about phan, they wouldn’t ever say it out loud. that they would keep that layer of privacy in which they deserve.
but after seeing us grow, and after growing themselves as people, they’re finally comfortable enough to share one of the biggest things in their lives to us. and they’re able to do so while forgiving the younger versions of so many fans who created an issue in the past.
