Hi. I’m not trolling, I’m just genuinely curious: why do you think ichigo has more of a connection with rukia than orihime?
I don’t think he does, it’s a fact. Short answer? There’s a whole movie about Ichigo and Rukia’s connection: Bleach’s third movie Fade to Black, directly supervised and approved by Kubo Tite himself. Yes, the whole movie centers around their bond and how deep and strong it is. No need to add there’s no such thing about Ichigo and Orihime, right? No episode, no mention in the manga, no movie, no novel, nothing about a connection or bond between them in particular. I think that makes it pretty much clear.Long answer (well, not that long)? There’s a simple, very concrete way to know it. Since Ichigo is the common factor here then let’s have Ichigo (and Kubo Tite) himself tell you about his relationship with these two. So we can just list every quote Ichigo has said about Rukia and his relationship with her. Then let’s do the same with Ichigo about Orihime, shall we?
*Just as a note, I won’t consider any “filler episodes” people love to blame on why we ship Ichiruki, all of these come from the manga and stuff directly supervised and approved by the author. I also won’t be quoting direct dialogue between the mentioned characters (that’d make the list extra long), just exclusive quotes from Ichigo (and Kubo Tite) about his bond with these characters.

So if after all this people still doubt who had a better connection or was more relevant to Ichigo I honestly can’t help… but Orihime can!!

And now we’re done. I hope it’s clear why I think Ichigo has, indeed, a greater connection with Rukia. If you still can’t see it, well “none so blind as those who will not see”, right?
In conclusion, you can ship Ichigo and Orihime all you want, be it because you think they look cute together, because you imagine their relationship being lovely or just because you think Orihime is pretty and that’s fine. What I really can’t tolerate is when people try to pretend these facts don’t exist, blame the fact we ship Ichiruki on fillers and tell others Rukia was somehow irrelevant to Ichigo or try to put their connections to the same level when it’s clear which one was superior, by far. The author missed the chance of having Ichigo married to his soulmate, and that is an irrefutable truth.
