BIOGRAPHY
In order to survive the Abyss, one had to be the strongest. Thatβs what her father would repeat over and over again. Bedtime stories rarely revolved around a prince in shining armor or the endless depths of friendship, but rather the cruelties one had to face in order to survive. To become stronger meant sacrifice and the abandonment of moralities. Priya never believed in such things as she considered herself to be a rare defender of individualism within her coven. A sorceress desiring the end of their dog eats dog society. With Hassan being one of the elders, her father put more pressure onto his daughter than necessary. Caving once her father sugarcoated the customs and power struggles that lead to traumatic events within the coven, Priya was sucked into this world, naive enough to put her fatherβs wishes over her own. What if he was right? An Elder with high ambitions trying to get his daughter to be more powerful and ready to survive surely wouldnβt have any ulterior motives. Instead, the sorceress slowly began to accept her fatherβs guidance in exchange for power.
Various challenges followed. Much like Herakles before her, the sorceress was tasked to complete dangerous challenges for the sake of enhancing her powers. Seeing as she didnβt have what it took to be as powerful as her father wanted her to be, he specifically pushed her further into this world, cutthroat, ambitious, survivalists of the worst kind. They had ambitions to become immortal, so to honor the covenβs values, Priya put herself in grave danger to find meaning in her sacrifice. Do not cry for the sacrificial lamb; sheβs the one sharpening the knife. To be a sorceress means endless sacrifice to achieve oneβs ends and Priya desperately tried to please her coven. Following that path, she forced herself through the darkness, conjured dark magic to defeat her unfortunate enemies. The more time she spent challenging herself, the deeper her father forced her down this road of sacrifice and obedience, the more he heart rebelled. Despite what her coven preached, her heartβs own desire was already reserved for someone else. A Vampire of all creatures, someone whoβd already achieved immortality.
What was supposed to be a real testament of her own strength turned out to be a nightmare. Once invited, the vampire attacked them, fed and laid waste to their coven like nothing before. Old and wise, he knew how to have them running for the hills to further excite their blood. Priya awoke among the smell of smoke, burning buildings and laughter echoing through the darkness. Her throat burned, her muscles had stopped aching and her reflexes had become much more refined, faster andβ¦ stronger. The strength of immortality. Did she succeed? Only her father stood after the vampire fled the scene, his pockets filled with gold and his body almost overflowing with blood. Now a vampire, her father struggled with what should never be. His undead daughter, stronger than ever, lead by her own heart rather than ambitions. And yet, as their eyes met, Priyaβs father struggled to find it in him and kill her for good. The covenβs death wouldnβt have to be for nothing if only they used their teachings to reverse her immortality.
Grieving over her entire covenβs death, Priya believed herself to be the culprit, the hungry vampire who had killed them all in a blackout. Nothing remained, but she knew better than to believe her own lies. The vampire whoβd turned her, her one time lover, ended up being nothing more than a trickster, an executioner with fangs, corrupt and merciless. So when her father suggested dark alternatives, desperate for her daughter to return, Priya listened, now more than ever. Watching her fatherβs madness unfold The guilt didnβt stop. Believing to be the cause of his madness, Priya did whatever necessary to revert the curse and rebuild what had been lost. As she tipped the goblet filled with vampiric ichor down her throat, much of what used to be vanished. Drawn closer by the look of blood but cringing at the initial smell, the actual blood tasted much sweeter, smokier, than what sheβd expected. Potent and addictive, Priya poured the blood down her throat, to drown in it, to feel nothing but the sinful taste of what would forever change her life. The demon crawled down her throat with its ichor, taking a hold of her body and soul. The blood of an archfiend, a source of great power to revert what had been done. Blood was the answer, revealing what had been hidden within the darkness for so long.
This hadnβt been her chance of freedom, but only a desperate attempt to revert her own death β a sacrificial lamb, her body served as the ultimate vessel for an archfiend. Enraged and starving, the now Liche slit her fatherβs throat and tasted his blood out of spite. Such cruelty came with a price: the peace loving, kind child feasted on her father like maggots on a corpse: relentlessly, unceremoniously, only to hurt, only to feast. She watched him carefully as her fatherβs heart stopped beating, eyes glossy from tears. A Liche, that what she was, an undead creature.
Trying to find meaning in her new, damned existence, Priya travelled the world, hoping to regain some of her humanity within. Kind and still naive, she clung onto the nearest group of vampires in hopes of belonging somewhere. An outcast among outcasts, she was neither bad nor entirely good, feeding upon those she should call family. Alas, the archfiend within had made itself comfortable, peeking through every once in a while, demanding blood and violence. While the archfiend within recklessly wreaked havoc upon her core values and soul, Priya became everything her father wanted her to be: powerful, immortal and, above all, doomed to a life of solitude.
The more the archfiend took over, the less Priyaβs body tried to fight them. Mentally she remained on guard, losing control every once in a while, Their ambitions became her own: power, albeit put to good use, a monster with morals, a damned creature of warmth and love despite her cold skin. Still, as she looked in the mirror, her appearance skeletal and frightening, the archfiend within tasked her with the never ending battle for power and influence while her heart remained stoic: the sacrificial lamb, the sorceress whoβd never ceased to love, would always remain.

Her eyes are not narrowed by virtue of her tight control on her features, but for those who truly know her β and those are very few indeed β can see the telltale signs of her hunger as she watches the woman pretending to be a vampire. Not a leech, not a fiend, not an Archfiend, something entirely different altogether. Her teeth ache on her mouth, ready to bite down in the delicate curve of her neck as she considers what consuming her would give her. Still, impulsive as she is, she is far from stupid, and she knows another predator when she sees one. This one might have originally been human, might be attempting to keep to the trappings of her former species β the one she betrayed, and isn't that juicy? β, but she is a monster wearing human skill regardless, and she is not one to try to consume those who would give a fight. Not when there is too many variables to account for. Head tilting in naive puzzlement, she sends the other a sweet smile and shakes her head, almost shyly. "I am here to observe, apologies. Considering, well, my body's role on the end of times, I don't think many would be able to enjoy themselves if I am amidst them."
She was, finally, trying to accept the idea of having a good time rather than beating herself up for what happened. The past had to stay just that: the past. Still, a part within Priya could never truly leave behind what happened. So when the stranger approached, much of her initial thoughts returned to former failures and self inflicted cruelty. The woman didn't seem to be much of a lost soul like herself, definitely more in-tune with her powers and attributes. It almost terrified her, ironically. "Observe what, exactly?" despite the stranger's cute demeanor, Priya decided to be wary, "what are you, exactly?" Blud usually attracted all kinds of creatures, even though vampires were more or less the most popular. Priya eyed the other with a curiosity she couldn't even hide. "Everybody's having a great time, I don't know what you're referring to."
To some, the sacrifice of vanity and their bloodline was too hefty an exchange too make; Tepiltzin was certain he could see such conflicts within Priya, that even despite the fact she had crossed the painful transformation and placed it behind her, that she was still haunted by what was. Seth had always been grappling for power, hungry for it even when he was a mere druid heralding over a civilization; he'd killed his own father to make the point apparent. Seth swirled the ichor around in the glass before unceremoniously downing the contents with a snort at the other Liche, "You're stuck on the pieces that tether us to what made us vampires; blood, teeth, this idea that it's wrong," she hadn't need it to say it aloud, Seth could easily read it upon her face. "Perhaps that's why you're having such trouble," a judgemental brow raised, Seth was selfish and power hungry; the Criminal had little use for those who were apprehensive about these abyssal gifts they'd been chosen for, "Have you even delved into what you can do? Death magic, blood manipulation; you're too focused on what you used to be. We may be weakly tethered to our former bloodlines, but we're a far cry away from vampires now."
She couldn't quite understand Tepiltzin's need for power, not entirely. The sorceress part of her knew, all too well, what happened to weak individuals. She'd managed to avoid that by following her father's wishes, constantly improving her magic until that one faithful day of getting turned, which had now spiraled into her, technically and otherwise, being the strongest of the clan, even before their deaths. An Archfiend, stored within, Priya stared into her glass filled with blood, as if to see truth in it. Just its color drove her mad, its unique smell still something she couldn't ignore and got drawn to easily. Maybe, maybe, she'd have to see Tepiltzin as an example rather than a cautionary tale of what might happen to someone who allowed that power to take over. "I was a sorceress first, of course I experimented with my powers first. The Death magic, blood manipulation. Took me a few years to fully get the hang of it." At least that's where her father succeeded. Placing that Archfiend into her had at least somewhat removed her from her sireline and caused her to not be a vampire anymore, at least not fully. She gulped down some of the vampire blood and huffed in a mix of annoyance and amusement. "So that Archfiend was your choice to begin with? A pact with the Devil?" She got annoyed at the thought that plagued her now. Was power really the best option for her?

She wasn't really welcome anywhere, that much the Follower understood. A Liche, a daemonfey, a leech stuck with an archfiend's soul within. Without looking at the other guests, Priya absentmindedly drank from her cup of blood, hoping nobody would notice the apparent odor vampire blood could have for non-leeches. Noting she could really remember. The less she thought about the party, about actually managing the whole thing and making sure everything runs smoothly and without bumps, the better Priya managed to just get over herself for once and enjoy what was going on around her. "After everything we ought to at least enjoy ourselves a little bit right?" she emptied her cup in one go and looked at the person next to her, "come on, a dance won't hurt?" the Liche furrowed her brows together.

Seth raised his glass only for the Criminal's expression to level out into a frown. So soft and tender, a wretchedly innocuous creature that could not appreciate the splendor of such iniquitous darkness that was bestowed to her. "Speak for yourself," he mocked cheerily, dawning something of a flippant grin; he'd never been the best company. The Criminal, still, played along however, mulling the taste over his tongue, "I've never... savored in it," a necessary clarification for Seth wasn't sure what exactly he was meant to taste. His feedings had been vicious, borderline ravenous, a monster intent to maim and kill as blood was drained from his victims. Thralls were offered different treatment but even that was a fleeting notion, something Seth never took upon rarely and his fangs ached to recall the dulcet taste of Yurena's blood; something he'd not be privy to again it seemed. "It's.. sweet."
She'd dealt with worse in her time. Coming from a long line of cutthroat individuals, Priya had desired to break the chain and expose herself to the difficulties of being good. Alas, the more she let herself care for the archfiend within, the more darkness she let in. Inevitably, the Liche knew she'd have to play along, just this once let more darkness in than she was comfortable with. "Sweet?" to her his description seemed almost cynical, sinister. To taste one's own species always reminded her of pure sin, something entirely bad but not something she could necessarily live without. "If I had to choose, I would still prefer the real deal. Alas, most vampires are unwilling to be fed on." And she didn't blame them one bit. The Archfiend within demanded sacrifice and worship. For some reason Priya was more inclined to comply to their command rather than anything else. "I understand. We're unique on its own, we mustn't hope for change and rather embrace what we are." It seemed so much easier to speak to Seth about this than anyone else, "don't we? Embrace what we are, to better understand what we can be?"

Overdramatizing the need for blood just wasn't for Priya. You either fed or you slowly desiccated, it was as simple and as horrifying as that. She'd developed quite the palette for vampiric blood thanks to her unusual upbringing, a liche, no less, archfiend blood and one's soul trapped within. She could feel them twist and turn, hopeful to use this vessel and wreak havoc. Sometimes, no, more often than not, Priya thought about letting go just once. Wasn't this the first step to truly living? Going after one's own desires? Yes and no, the Liche still struggle with the concept of blood and had developed a more or less unhealthy relationship to it. "The outsiders amongst outsiders," she raised her glass towards Seth, "let's just be glad there are alternatives nowadays. I remember every kill all too well." a long list of vampires who had willingly given their blood, friends who secretly helped out, but others had to suffer because of her, whenever the hunger became too prominent at the back of her mind. "What do you taste?"
