I know they like you and all, but if they could like you more?” That would be a good thing. She wanted him to love his work as much as she did. “Oh, do you? Should I be jealous, then?” Ha. She didn’t have a jealous bone in her body.

Seo-Yeon was more than happy to buy an invite for her. A night for them to get to know each other and hopefully admire each other’s beauty. “I am glad you are able to join me,” she told her sincerely. She loves to put effort into her outfits, but Yenay definitely is a testimony that simplicity works as well. “Thankfully not. Call me strange, but I feel that if you truly love someone you shouldn’t need a piece of paper and a ritual to prove as much,” controversial but she was never one to be traditional. They really were a contrast in elaborateness, she could tell the taste of the other. The fancy dress, expensive restaurant, she had an ex with a similar lifestyle, Xia. Sai nodded. He didn’t mind if people got it or not. He knew most would think it cute irregardless if they understood it or not. He was also looking forward to getting to know Youra more. “Just be aware we might get pounced on by some of my family,” maybe all of them. It just depends on how distracted they all were. “Sounds like a good idea,” it waas a good strategy for most things. Just this time he wasn’t on a mission, he was at a party. “Who do you know here?” he asked.

“That's okay, I’m sure the line im apart of will comment since they all went with each other. whos here from your family? Who do i have to look out for if they come and jump us?” she honestly didn’t mind if they did, if anything she might be a little nervous about the questions they might ask. “Most of the vampires. There's a few from Si’s line i’m not familiar with but the main one’s not here” which was a relief.  

Vali looked around as they entered the room and nodded when Yamilet pointed out the table. “Yes, let’s go over there,” she agreed and paused to pose for a picture. She knew they made a rather striking group and she liked that, plus all those years of modeling, she couldn’t help posing even without a camera present. “See? Aren’t you glad you came now?” she teased and lightly nudged his shoulder. “We know best, so you’ll have to trust us,” she added with a nod as he helped her out of her jacket. “What a gentleman, thank you,” she said and smiled at him. “The hosts? I’ve met Valentina a few times, but not the other,” she answered and glanced to her progeny. She was glad they both managed to convince him to come out. He couldn’t stay cooped up like that; he’d go mad. 

“Yeah Hector trust us, when it comes to having a good time we know what's best.” she backed up her sire. Trying to hide her smirk as she watched her besties crush help her with her jacket, tonight would be fun even if it was just watching them and giving her sire knowing looks. “Yeah, know Val but the others one of the Mayors right? bit of a mountain.” she laughed at the last part. “I’ll get drinks, I know what you drink Vali, Hector beer?” she then sneaked off to the bar with a wink to Vali as she left. 

“I’m glad I came with the pair of you. I’ll trust you, I’m in your safe hands, just be gentle with me.” He hoped humor would make things easier to easy back into. But having Ratnavali, someone else who was a progeny of Young made things easier. “The Doc didn’t take my manners from me.” He’d always been a gentleman, that hadn’t changed thankfully. “I actually Know Lazar well, one of my ex’s, who I was with for a long time was a family friend. He’s always been rather big yes...” he was amused by the comment. “Yeah a beer please... but here take my card to pay please.” 

“Wow, that does sound complicated,” Elodie chuckled and watched that group he pointed out for a moment. “You can introduce me later, if you want?” she offered and then gave him the sad face. “If you insist, Devan, but the offer stands. I don’t like how mean she is to you.” 

“Maybe it just sounds complicated in my head, you get your head wrapped around them and then there a whole other line.” he spoke probably making it seem like it was more difficult to understand then it actually was. “ You want to met them? then that what we will do baby. Who first?” his arm slid around her shoulder wanting to keep as much contact as possible while holding her hand. “I’m taking her being mean as liking me, means she must like me a lot.”

“Good, I don’t plan to fall in love anyway. It’s overrated.” a little shrug, small smirk to his words. “I’ve seen that body… I think I’m pretty safe. Sorry to disappoint.”

“Thats a bit harsh, love is beautiful. If you ever met my mom’s you see how beautiful it can be.” every relationship will be compared to his mom’s and if he was as deep as they were he knew its wasn’t worth it. “Oh really? that was a year ago, could have got better.”

“There was no memo, this is sheer coincidence,” Adrienne chuckled. But yes, how cool could it be if they all appeared together as greek mythical figures. “Looks like she did find another match though, I’m sorry darling,” she teased, nodding over to Odette and her ex.

Gagans eyes went wide with concern when he saw Odette's ex “Should we be ready to intervene, just in case it turns sour? Sweep Odette away?” hopefully it wouldn’t come to that, he wasn’t even sure how thing were left between the two. “Didn’t take long for the group to dissipate huh?” 

“How unfortunate she didn’t come herself. I will take a picture – but only if you are going to be on it too.”

“It was something about the politics of it all, i did try to explain Valentina is me niece so its not. But her heart was set on a bubble bath. Of course I’ll be in it, not like Valeria hasn’t seen me from every position or anything.”

It would be so easy to deepen the kiss. To lose herself in his touch, but she couldn’t. Not tonight. Not here. At least not yet. Sighing as their lips moved apart again, and she was back among the living. “Not everyone has a boyfriend who can afford to let them do this. Or a boyfriend with the connections I’ve needed at times.” She pointed out. “Ooh, you serving tonight my love? Anything is good with me. As long as you don’t make me clean it up, that is.” Oh the maid and the butler. 

“Well being a Vasilyev and the one of the mayors has its perks. If my face wasn’t known before becoming mayor it is now. And with that the love of my life should be able to do anything within the city.” because with the connections they had he’d be surprised if they’d be anyone's target. “Your not? well whos going to clean up that mess outside?” 

“Oh he is. For real, i met him and within moments he was like my girlfriend this, my girlfriend that.” Rolling her eyes, her tone snarky. So, she weren’t bffs with her brother in law. she wasn’t with twinny either. “Do it. He’s a Vasilyev. Trust fund baby. So, what do you want?” 

“I hate those kind of people, like have a little depth. Couples are the worst.” she wasn’t found of them herself, being tied down... well in that matter. “Well i think we should get a bottle of champagne  enough the trust fund baby to the fullest.”

“Then a beer.” She ordered from the bartender, letting him get the glass and smiling pleasantly. “So, tell me, what are you being tonight?”

“Im an exterminator...”  which he found highly amusing, since many thought of his leeches as pests. “And you what's this?”

Seo-Yeon was rarely speechless but Yenay’s outfit really made her lose her words for a moment. “I appreciate you joining me,” she purred. “Though I think Miss Scarlett pales in comparison to your beauty,” she commented. “Shall we get something to eat?” 

Yenay had found her dress she used for... well any kind of outing that required more than her attire, so happened that it was red and went with their theme. “I really appreciate the Invite.” and it wasn’t like she could say she was busy with work since practically everyone was here. But honestly it wasn’t bad Seo-Yeon was breathtaking in blue. Red cheeks even visible through her makeup “and Mrs Peacock has nothing on you, I hope your not married like she is.” why were the lines so blurry around Seo-Yeon? why couldn’t she stop her she from flirting back. “It’s like you know one of my weaknesses already” 

It was a cute and nerdy idea, so of course he was down for it. Youra was no doubt smart and he really liked that. Sai was never the most social but he made sure his energy and social levels were good for this event. He did not want to disappoint Youra. He gave a slight laugh at her comment with a smile flashing on his lips. “I really like the idea behind the costumes,” he commented looking at the two of them together. “Yeah I am. Should be interesting,” he nodded. He held out his arm for her to link arms. “Is there anything you want to do? Get a drink and chat or go for a dance?” he asked. Sai was reserved but he didn’t mind dancing. He just didn’t like being the centre of attention.

Youra wanted to go with Sai so she could learn more about the cute nerd she had met behind the bar. In his company she also felt like she didn’t have to hide her geeky nature, that if anything Sai would appreciate it. “I’m not sure if most will get it but those who do will understand.” she also didn’t mind his eyes on her even if she was a half round shape. Youra didn’t hesitate taking his arm as they walked “Maybe get a drink and feel out the room first? I don’t know about you but i like to know the room i’m in before i start moving around.”

Happiness more or less radiating from Valentina as she cupped his face, leaning up to peck his lips. “You helped me though. You helped so much.” she spoke quietly, even if she knew they were surrounded by supernaturals who could hear them anyways. “Just trying to prevent anyone else having the learning curve I did.”

She had become irreplaceable in his life, his life no longer belonged to just him anymore because without her he didn’t want one. “Okay a little bit... but this, all this is your doing.” He didn’t turn the kiss into more like he normally would but enough to keep it appropriate. “And yet no other vampire who had to go through such a curve is doing the same. What would you like to drink, my lady?” he asked holding out his tray playing into the fact that he was a butler

Camila had to laugh, shaking her head. “Hmm, do I?” She said out loud as if there was ever a doubt, before gesturing to her own face. “Look at me, and then at little Flores over there by the mountain. Yes, twins. Her boytoy too I’ve met. But quite frankly, he’s far too boring.” She said before guiding her to the bar, and ordering the drinks for them. 

Play dumb Kulap play dumb, its something she had to remind herself. She looked over to where Camila was pointing, acting shocked “They look very stuffy anyway, looks like a rich boy. They look like the type to have a tab you could take advantage of that you know” she whispered the last part so the bartender would over hear “We could rack up a massive bill”
