I adore his this way. Soft, warm, sleepy. Just a puddle of sweet girl. I can’t resist scooping her up and taking her to bed. Tucking her in is my favorite. Fluffy pillow under her head, fuzzy blanket overtop of her, and i climb in beside her. Closing the distance, her back to my chest. My arm reaches around her waist to keep her close. I inhale the scent of her neck, her hair, anything i can reach. My fingers find their way into her mussed tresses to scratch, and when i finally feel it, her complete slack, utter stillness. The way only a dream can take you in. I finally close my eyes, lulled into sleep myself by the sound of her breathing.
