havmýr tribe (ᛡᛆᚡᛉᚤᚱ, “the sea-bugs”)

the wind fills your sails, and you are weightless. the sea is fickle, its moods as fleeting as shifting sands, but you have learned its rhythms, its spirits, its riddles. others see danger in its unpredictable nature, but you see freedom and a home for as much as the eye can stretch. a stagnant life is no life at all. you have set foot on shores no map dares to name, traded words and wonders with people whose tongues twist differently from yours, and you want more. you were meant to wander just like waves do. while others build walls and houses, you want to build ships and bridges. others may hoard what they have, but you want to share without hesitation. some say your kindness will be your undoing, that one day you will give too much and be left with nothing for your next voyage. but you shake your head and smile. you are havmýr. you will always have the sea, and the sea will always belong to you.

yes, you're friends, but there is a divide in status there, and you absolutely take advantage of the freedom rapunzel's naïveté gives you to overstep that divide

c: "when did you stop trusting my judgment?"

r: "i'm not that naive girl fresh from the tower anymore. i'm going to be queen one day and i'm going to make decisions you're not always going to agree with and i need you to be okay with that."

like... yeah. unfortunately, she's right.

plus this is right on the back of "you can't protect them, adira" from hector. someone who was clearly against adira, clearly trying to hinder the caravan, explicitly saying adira was on their side. which yeah, not entirely something you can trust in, but it does line up with adira's behavior.
