Princess Claude

"Lola says different but he’s definitelly got her nose and her ears. I think his fingers are much like little Henry’s were when he was born." He smiled at his sister with his baby. "Remember when he was born how jealous you would get of him? I’m hoping that this baby won’t be that way when Mary and I have a baby of our own." 

"I can't agree with her. I think he will have fair hair. Just like you and little Henry." Claude let the child wrap its fingers around one of her own with a gentle smile. "If you do have a child with Mary then you will have to expect envy to occur. Mary's child will inherit your crown while this one will get nothing in comparison."

"Missed me? Claude I just saw you two hours ago."

"Two hours alone with my thoughts of you and I is an awful long time."

"Looking for me? In the middle of the night?"

"Of course. I've missed you terribly."

"Here, you can hold him if you want." He smiled holding his baby son out to his sister. "Lola says the same thing, I think he’ll have her hair though dark and curly." 

Claude took the young baby from her brothers arms and smiled down at the boy. He was quite adorable, though she would never admit that. "No." Claude said smiling. "I think he'll have her curls but your fair hair."

"I was looking for you."

"I wish to spend some time with my new nephew." Claude said as she entered the nursery. It had been some time since any baby had occupied the royal nursery and Claude was glad to have a nephew to spoil. "He has your eyes."
