“I believe he is out riding with Catherine since she says he is the only one with the skill and stomach to ride how she wishes.” Vlad said as he put down the dispatches he just received from Wallachia. “I can take a look at Sterling for you.”

“He still has some good years with us Mary.” Artur said as Sterling give him his customary nudge and tail wag.

Mary hugs her cousin and Grandfather. “Thank you to you both, I was so worried he might be getting to the end of his life and he was going to suffer, I don’t want him to suffer.” 

“I believe he is out riding with Catherine since she says he is the only one with the skill and stomach to ride how she wishes.” Vlad said as he put down the dispatches he just received from Wallachia. “I can take a look at Sterling for you.”

“He is like grandfather and I.” The prince said before he used hypnotic ability to pull some of the dog’s pain into his own body. Unfortunately the pain settled right in his lower back where he had broken it in battle when he was human so he winced as he stood up. “He is an old man and has the joints to show for it, he is slow because it hurts him to move. Grandfather has something you can give him in the morning that will help. I just gave our old friend here some relief until he gets back.”

“Poor darling I didn’t even think about that.” She frowns, watching her cousin stand up gingerly. “You’re quite certain he’ll be alright? should I keep him in our chambers when I’m gone? I usually let him follow me to court but I don’t want him to walk more then he should.”

“They keep asking me if you’re pregnant too.” Francis told her before walking over and pressing a light kiss to her forehead. “Let’s just make sure that the curtains are shut this time.” 

“Oh no it is fine!” Elizabeth exclaimed smiling as she stroked Sterling’s soft fur as well. She never minded getting a little dirty if she was playing around with children or family pets. She laughed happily and looked down at her and her cousin’s dresses. “Though we may have to change for tonight’s dinner though.”

“Well they’re very good children when the’re not being completely chaotic.” Mary explains. “Little Henry especially, he just wants to please everyone at the same time.” 

“I’m trying to do a good job but I’m not sure if I can, though from what I gather a lot of being a father is uncertainty.” He grins.

He better be grateful, because she almost clawed my eyes out.  [text]: If I see one more picture on Instagram of a snowman with Frozen lyrics underneath, I’m gonna explode up in this bitch. 

“Well I’m going to stay right here and keep you very safe, I promise that.” He kisses her again and sighs. “How about you an I go on a picnic tomorrow? We can eat by the lake, maybe go for a swim?”
