I loved the similarities between both. What are your guy’s thoughts on the first episode? Personally, adapting 7+ chapters was a push, especially considering how much information is dropped with the Rue Island arc. I really wish this could’ve been a 24 episode season instead of 12

I feel like this panel perfectly fits into what I’m about to say. Now I’ve been seeing for a while now, people bashing on tokyo ghoul and this arc. Now while I do agree with some points (some parts seeming rushed or leaving plot points open) to a certain extent, I do not agree with people being downright rude to the author. Ishida has poured seven years of his own time and life into creating something unlike any other. He’s also gone through seven years of dealing with people acting like jackasses. There is a difference between constructive criticism and just being an asshole. “Thank god this series is ending” is not something someone wants to see or hear about a project they worked so hard on. Like this panel says “even if I’m at peace with what I’ve done, there are certainly those who are not”. Not everyone has to like what you do. For people who are upset about the happy ending or the plot holes; write your own ending. Write your own solutions to things that you feel were never answered. I’ve seen so many creative people on this platform make some of the most amazing works of art/cosplays/fanfics/spinoffs. You guys are literally some of the most unique people I’ve come across.
