mainstream trend cycles always move way too fucking fast. like theres no way you genuinely authentically enjoy a thing if you can jump from one to the next so damn fast. just as an example, when i was a kid my family had this big black old polaroid. we had that stupid thing for the better part of my childhood. Yet, by the time i was nineteen all the kids and teens were sporting these little pastel polaroid cameras like it was the coolest vintage shit. every single kid had either a instax mini 8 or a polaroid snap. flaunting them as if they didn’t also have real polaroids when they were little. polaroids never should have had a resurgence at least until i myself was old enough to have kids in their teen years, then my KIDS could be playing make believe with what they deemed old technology, not people who could be my YOUNGER SIBLINGS. fuck.
