Pokéjinka DEX - Kanto Edition a Pokémon Gijinka fanzine applications are now OPEN!!!

This free pokémon fanzine will be open to all artists, regardless of zine experience and skill level. We want to create a GEN 1 (151 + MissingNo) gijinka pokédex. All the pokémons will be assigned at random.

Please be sure you can follow our schedule before apply. More info can be found in this DOC.

Applications will be open from May 19 - July 31. (deadline: 23:00, timezone: CEST) All forms sent in after that time WILL NOT be accepted.

did you know we're currently collabing with Poke Earth Collabs to celebrate bulbapedia's 20th anniversary next month!? we need YOUR help, though, because it is a community collaboration!!

we're looking to get submissions of bulbasaur art creations of all kinds -- traditional or digital art, clay, fabric, etcetc -- for us to feature in a fun community art piece! artists of all styles and types are welcomed! (except for ai art. ai art is lame and not art and bulbasaur will not be your friend if you submit ai art)

in terms of more important info, you can refer to this sheet, but the submission end date is february 13, 2025! you can submit / send finished pieces to this tumblr account, or to @pokeearthcollab on twitter or @pokeearthcollab.bsky.social on bluesky! we will be crediting you no matter where you send your submission, of course! Historians searching for the lost "Red Orb" found a previously undiscovered chamber in the Scorched Slab which housed a statue of a young woman said to have the power to commune with Groudon, illuminated by a chink of sunlight breaking through a crack in the wall above. Strangely, this particular spot never gets dark as it is perfectly placed to catch the moonlight on even the darkest nights.

Ancient texts say that she was revered as a goddess, although her name has been lost to time. No one knows for sure if the Red Orb she holds is the real thing; however an urban myth persists that anyone attempting to take it from her will meet with an untimely death.
