spreading thy filth like a seed
mycelium networks cultivating pathways
where severance is all that may exist
rot in the food, into th' soles of thy feet
each step commemorating spoils
a feast set moons ago, humming flies chanting
the vibration of ordure
inhalation of spores, faucets slow-drip drip dripping
a concoction of unholy smut
sputtering brown sewerage creaking 
sopping vegetables creating a mire
th' neighbours house, emitting corpse-rot
for days it wafted o'er, breathing in
sulfide, putrescine, cadaverine
pig fat in a melting-pot.
nerves danced upon with two left feet
slicing shouldn't come this easily
stabbed in th' jugular for daring to wake
reaching for intestines with a knife
popping holes to feed the fetid again.
