The thing about Jason Todd is that there's a profound lack of resentment towards his parental figures. It's the foundation of his character at this point and also his fatal flaw.
He's died to a parental figure, directly and not, at least three separate times and still got nothing bad to say about them. In fact he would still actively defend them with his life if given the chance, it's that dire.

yeah so i covered up my son's death because it would have inconvenienced me...yeah by doing this i basically ruined all chances of someone pursuing justice for him legally...yeah im rich as hell and could have definitely not done this and instead gotten the murderer convicted. yeah no i covered it up instead. anyway so my son is back now :/ and he wants to kill the guy who murdered him but that's like really immature... well what do i expect him to do? what?? why are you even asking this :| obviously he should be fine with the guy breaking out of arkham on a routine basis :/ hell, he should get justice through legal means! doesn't he know only i can dictate when it's moral to break the law?

i cant believe i'm typing out this sequence of words. ra's al ghul DID NOT steal tim drake's spleen. he never did that. he doesn't keep it in a jar and cradle it to sleep. he literally does not give a fuck 😭😭😭😭😭 please pick up a fucking comic
THIS is what canonically happened in red robin #5. ra's has no interaction with tim's spleen and barely even talks to him twice.
he's not "weirdly obsessed" with tim. please let go of that. not only does it make absolutely 0 sense and does not hold up at all, it contributes to a variety of harmful stereotypes surrounding the characterisation of the al ghuls.
tim drake is an interesting character and definitely has the potential to do well if he's written correctly, but i don't see the need to bastardise ra's al ghul (a character that predates tim) for it..?
there's like maybe 5 ra's al ghul fans on this planet and the popular depictions of him in dc fanon (and canon for that matter) definitely don't contribute to that 😭👍

pre crisis jason being from the circus is not stealing dicks backstory but it is COPYING. the todds only even know dick because dick was in the circus and they affirm that the graysons were the best and they respected them a lot. nothing about dicks character or story was altered in any way to make room for jason
the dynamic duo movie is STEALING jasons robin origin story to apply it to dick. jasons specific story of refusing to be party to organized crime is being taken from him and changed so that dick can have it. not the same!!!

It really sucks that I can talk about so many characters having their histories erased or rewritten or outright ignored and negated, but the moment Jason is brought up for the same reason people will fr turn with pitchforks in their hands to argue that it never happened.

Before I say which character it was, let me just put this right here from good ol’ Wikipedia:
Internalize this definition IN YOUR SOUL, because too many of y’all don’t actually seem to know the definition (or are willfully ignorant in the name of absolving your blorbos *ahem*👀).
Now, this definition applies to a lot of dialogue said about Jason after his death, and no it doesn’t matter that the characters who talked about him in such a way didn’t know he wouldn’t come back, or anything like that, it’s still victim-blaming (as the definition says) to even partially assign the blame of Jason’s death on Jason himself. Because if we’re talking about responsible parties, Sheila and more importantly JOKER are right there!
JOKER made the choice, the whim to brutally beat and torture a child, and then made the decision to kill him because he knew Batman wouldn’t be happy about it, so he decided that he had to get rid of the evidence. And before you say it, the only reason Jason went into that warehouse is because Sheila LIED TO HIM about the Joker not being there anymore, and he was trusting her. And even if that wasn’t the reason Jason went in, he’s still not responsible for his MURDER.
And I capitalize that because using the word “death” is at this point too tame for me, yes Jason was MURDERED. And nothing of that situation was his fault, who blames a child in this situation when the adults are right there?! Like damn, y’all are victim-blaming him exactly while you’re saying he’s not victim-blamed!
Ok, now that that’s all been said, who victim-blamed Jason first?
It was Bruce, because of course it was.
Sure, Tim and Dick have notable moments of victim-blaming Jason, but it was, as always, Bruce who started the trend. Because it’s in the comics, and there’s no way he would have been letting this particular idea about Jason’s murder persist otherwise.
