you can make nearly any object into a good insult if you put ‘you absolute’ in front of it

Meanwhile, “utter” works for the first (e.g., “you utter floorboard”) but somehow “utterly” doesn’t seem to work as well for the second (“I was utterly floorboarded”).
Utterly doesn’t work for drunk because it’s the affix for turning random objects into terms for *shocked*, obviously.
… huh. I thought that might just be the similarity to “floored”, and yet “I was utterly coat hangered” does seem to convey something similar.
I have to tell you, I am utterly sandwiched at this discovery.
Completely makes the phrase mean “super tired”.

I am pleased by people messaging me telling me that after adding a carb or protein to their snacks or meals they feel more satisfied all day. Yes, my plan is working. People are getting through their days with less hangry.
Well it being black history month is reminding me how I wanted to doodle something like this down for a while. Since it’s been a lil detail I always take notice of in drawings. These are very simple depictions but I hope it’s enough to give the general idea! Feel free to reblog

Hi Cirice! I've been following your work for a while and I really admire you as an artist, so I thought it would be nice to ask you for some advice (since I'm an artist too).
Recently, another artist publicly accused me of using AI in my art process because 'I was clearly making mistakes on purpose in the sketch (even though you can see I redo the sketch a thousand times) and since my line art doesn't have as many changes as the sketch, it was clearly tracing.' After that, the artist blocked me everywhere.
I have process videos on my profile, but this artist usually talks openly about AI on her page and goes around hunting for AI accounts every single day. Artist friends told me she was out of line (she treated me like an animal; I'm Latin, like you, but I still don't know if it was xenophobia). I recorded my screen while doing my line art and everything, but I'm still terrified because I'm autistic and have severe social phobia, so I can't do live streams.
Anyway, I just wanted to know how you deal with these kinds of accusations. I've had so many panic attacks over the last month because of this, and it would be really helpful to get some advice from an experienced artist who has been through it :(
Hii! First of all, I’m so sorry you’re going through this :( The whole AI issue is complex. I understand where it comes from—I’m totally against AI-generated art and all that—but I’ve noticed that the rise of "artists" using these tools has also fueled panic and made people hyper-critical of details, errors, and styles.
Unfortunately, I feel like a lot of people are using this as an excuse for a witch hunt, pointing fingers at anyone and everyone. I’ve already seen cases where artists had to delete drawings or even their accounts just because someone decided to call them out for completely human errors.
I’ve been accused of using AI several times myself. Usually, I just ignore or block those people, since my work speaks for itself.
Things like posting short painting process clips, wips, tips on drawing techniques or studies, old speedpaints, and showing my portfolio and artistic evolution have backed me up and helped me avoid trouble.
It’s unfair—and sometimes frustrating—to have to prove your work is human; you aren't obligated to do so just because someone feels entitled to demand it. However, doing the things I mentioned not only proves your work is real but also showcases your process and growth as an artist.
Regarding your situation with this person, I’d simply clarify things in a post and leave it at that. Just state the facts and the reality of the situation, then ignore that person.
People like that often forget that humans make mistakes—and always will—yet they’re so brainwashed that they think any error is a sign of AI.
And the way this person is dehumanizing you makes their true intentions pretty clear.
I can easily tell you that... Just ignore it—even though I know that’s quite hard to do, especially since I understand how you feel. Feeding into their narrative will only keep things going, because that’s exactly what these people want: to harm others while positioning themselves as heroes or claiming the moral high ground. You have no idea how many people like that I’ve run into.
Just keep drawing and creating; go ahead and post your art—and the process behind it, if you like. Remember, you are under NO obligation to respond to someone as toxic as the person you mentioned. If it isn't you they target, it will be someone else; that’s just how they live.
Please take good care of yourself and never stop drawing or sharing your drawings. Do NOT let people like that hold you back or bring you down; this is the best advice I can give you, because throughout your entire life—in every aspect of it—there will always be people like that. Even though it’s tough and difficult, you can't let them hold you back just because they couldn't make it.

Will you recognize and confront the rapist in your local group? How can you, if you won't even recognize and confront him across 80 years of distance?
Speaking as a childhood Harry Potter fan, the enduring persistence of its popularity including amongst adults is 100% because it is slop without substance.
It flirts with the idea of rebellion and emancipation from slavery but ultimately discredits those notions by having the rebel leader become a lead cop in the institution that was repressing him and by making emancipation seem silly.
It reflects the chauvinisms of a British aristocrat who offers an impossible narrative of an abused child escaping abuse through the purity of their Aryan magic blood. It’s a fantasy that doesn’t even pretend to offer catharsis or self-actualization, merely hundreds of pages of occasionally racist drivel about a special little boy who joins the SS after reforming them from the inside.
That’s why it has maintained such reverence - because it doesn’t actually offer a subversive story but the aesthetic of one while reflecting the conservative biases of the author. It speaks to a certain liberal perspective that is progressive only so far as the oppressed don’t hurt their feelings.

hey so filming people without their consent is weird. you know that right? filming people you don't know and they aren't aware of what you're doing is creepy. posting strangers online is fucking weird. we're too comfortable with doing it now for shits and giggles, chasing some sort of viral hit instead of reckoning with the fact that you posted someone who did not consent to their body and face being publically used.
we're being pushed these Meta Glasses as if mass surveillance of strangers is fun and normal! it's weird!!! there are already reports that people are using these to film women without them knowing and sharing it to communities who get off on this shit. who else knows who people are filming. these glasses with cameras are not obvious and that is dangerous.
