Have a Succy Day

One of my dance students had an elderly neighbor who unfortunately developed Alzeihmers and could no longer keep up with her beautiful garden. She was a certified master gardener and LOVED her plants, but with the rate at which her disease was progressing, she could no longer keep up with her plants.

Her children decided that they should give her plants to fellow plant lovers who will take care of them just like she would've. My dance student ran up to me during class and asked whether or not I wanted any of her plants, and when she showed me a photo of a massive Pachypodium Saundersii, I couldn't resist saying OF COURSE. The moment I laid eyes on it, I knew how much she loved it and how much I wanted to keep it alive for her.

It was a hassle, but I got it back home with me and can't wait to have this plant for many years to come. The woman's name is Ms. Cruz, so naturally, that is what I named her beautiful specimen. I'll take good care of her.
