Neither one of them should be playing this sort of game. They clung to their sanity with clenched, blood stained hands and possessiveness was one of their fatal flaws. This game could only end one of two ways..

He wonders if this was a test or just a random pest come to bother him. But there were no answers waiting for him. "Fine. Smash. Now. Leave. I wouldn't want to stain my rug with your blood."

But his feelings for her had never changed. Even when Gambit had entered the picture, even when she had broken his heart. He had risked his life for her. He'd do it again clearly. "Smash, babygirl." He breathes against her forehead as lays her down against the softness of his sheets. "Always."

He looks up, eyes shining with amusement and wicked intentions. He didn't plan on answering her right away, thinking it's best to let her stew in her own curiosity. It's fun letting little games like this simmer, lingering between questions to build suspense in the long seconds that pass. His smile is telling enough. "Smash, only a fool would pass you up."
