Review: Juice Beauty ColorCare
Finding a great quality, organic makeup line can sometimes be a struggle. Juice Beauty is a certified organic & clinically validated makeup & skincare line that is easy to find in-store. We recently got the chance to try out a few of their makeup products. Keep reading for our review…
Juice Beauty | The Organic Solution
Juice Beauty products are formulated without parabens, propylene or butylene gylcols, petroleum, suphastes, PEGs, TEA, DEA, pthalates, GMOs, silicones, and the list goes on! Instead, Juice Beauty formulates with antioxidant rich organic grapeseed, shea, fruit, jojoba, and aloe as a base and then adds powerful high efficacy ingredients.
One of the hardest things that we have come across is finding organic, natural beauty products that actually WORK and STAY ON! We’ve tried a lot of different organic brands, but we were highly impressed by the pigment and staying quality of the Juice Beauty makeup line. (Seriously, I still have the swatch remnants on the back of my hand!)
Reflecting Gloss: Champagne, Pink, Fig, Guava
Illuminating Eye Color: Champagne, Cappuccino, Chocolate
Review: The scent surprised us when we first applied the gloss – in a good way – it smells just like a cremesicle! The gloss has a super high shine without all the stickiness. Sometimes with super high shine glosses you can feel the flecks of shimmer – you can’t feel anything, but glossy hydration with this gloss. The gloss doesn’t have a high staying power mainly because it is not a stain or lipstick. It is a true gloss that does need re-applying after eating or drinking. It has a foam tip applicator with sturdy packaging. I wouldn’t be worried about this gloss exploding in my purse.
Eyeshadow Review: Hello, shimmer! Just as the name states, this is a very illuminating eyeshadow. It comes in loose powder form – I would recommend tapping a very small amount into the cap and applying with a damp brush for extra staying powder + color. The shades in this line are very natural and would work for a number of different skin tones. I would love to see Juice Beauty come out with a matte line of these eyeshadows!
Eyeliner Review: I really like the pencil tip on the eyeliner & the smudger on the opposite side. The pencil tip is a lot larger and thicker than most pencils which makes it easy to use in a number of different ways. The formula is smudgy and soft so you don’t have to worry about pulling or scratching the sensitive eye area. As someone who likes dramatic, dark eyeliner – this pencil could be a deeper black. I had to go over the line a few times before achieving the black shade I desired. The eyeliner did last me all day without coming off! This pencil is great for those looking for a more natural black eyeliner.
L to R: Champagne, Fig, Guava – Cappuncino, Black Eyeliner Line, Smudged
Everyday Eye Look with a Pink Pout ft. Juice Beauty
Get the Look: In order to achieve this look, start by applying an eyeshadow base of your choice to ensure lasting color. Then, sweep the Illuminating Eye Color in Champagne all over the lid and directly under the brow. After that, apply the Illuminating Eye Color in Chocolate into the crease and along the lash line to create a V-shape. Because these shadows are so versatile, they can be used as an eyeliner too. Dip your favorite brush in a little water or a makeup setting spray and tap it into the shadow. Now you can sweep this pigmented concoction along your lash line to give yourself a soft and subtle eyeliner. Finish off the eyes with mascara!
For the lips, apply a generous coat of the Reflecting Gloss in Pink. This product captures spring with its peppy shade and illuminating shimmer.
Juice Beauty products are also incredibly easy to find. They are sold at ULTA, Whole Foods, and various salons. Locate your closest store here.
