A smile curled into existence, “My, charming guest, and yet here you are turning up yours.”
Timekeeper couldn’t help the smile all the same, lightly holding up the flute up in acknowledgement. How they even got an invite to this little shindig is entirely up in the air. They’ll just simply have to make it up to the cookie missing their invite. She didn’t want to take too much of the Sage’s time – this was, after all, an event held in her honour. “You flatter me, but I think the star of the show is right in front of me. You won’t be too mad that I sneaked in, non?”
"Of course not!" The Sage can't help but laugh, her free hand curling over her mouth. "Especially when you're the most lively of our guests." The Crème Republic delegation was certainly a privilege to entertain, yes, but they seemed far more concerned about the Soul Jam than the cookie attached to it.
Not to mention how some of them seemed more keen on staring at her ears than anything else, or more interested in asking about the... personal lives of her and her fellow Heroes.
Her cheeks turned a soft lavender, and her ears twitched again. "Besides, this event is for all of us here at the Spire. As flattered as I am..."
"Well, I would be remiss if I hogged the spotlight all to myself."
Wrong move.
Kronos tilted their head back to get their hair free, spinning Shadow Milk out and releasing the other cookie; retreating to where their pocket of time had ripped open a means to get in. “Perhaps. But the manners could use some work.”
They didn’t like being touched as a general rule, the dancing was perfectly fine; as it was something of a fun thing to do. Kronos had also instigated it, and therefore it was within their set of rules. Touch only when touched, and so forth. The god doubted that this one knew the meaning of rules, or broke them at her whim.
“You at least, have an intriguing offer. I will think on it, loup.”
Oh, they're not getting away so easily.
Shadow Milk disappears for a moment, disappearing into the endless recesses of the void. Moments later, she re-materializes behind Kronos. One arm snakes around Kronos' waist, locking them in place. Her free hand takes their face in its grasp and gently turns it to face Shadow Milk's, in an almost reverse of their earlier position.
Oh, how the tables kept on turning and turning...
"Don't think on it for too long." Her claw traces the cracks on their face like a wolf toying with its prey. "Wouldn't want you missing aaaaaaaall the good parts, now would we?" She clicks her fangs and twists Kronos around, back in her arms and forced to follow along in their dance.
"Anyway, I wouldn't be complaining about manners if I were you..." Her hair falls over her multi-eyes, locked in a hungry stare. "I mean, scuttling off so soon?"
"Didja rrrreally think I'd let ya leave when we haven't even finished yet?"
