P R E C I O U S

Doing something just for the sake of consistency is... a game you will never win. Constantly telling yourself you're a quitter, a failure, not worthy, because at some point you lost interest in doing something that you once enjoyed, is just going to make you miserable. If you feel like you need to dedicate time to making art, writing, reading, playing an instrument (etc.), then you are not pursuing a hobby. You're working for a non-paid job that you have assigned yourself. Which will make you even more miserable since you are doing something you don't feel like doing.

I know this need for consistency might come from a place where you feel like you need to be consistent otherwise you are labeled by yourself as "ungrateful" or "lazy". This pattern though is not going to make you happy, ever.

If you are going to read a book just once, then be it. If later in your life you want to re-open that book and finish it, then do it.
