Katie McGrath : I think it’s genius. I think it’s hilarious. I think they’ve seeded enough bro romance into the first three seasons for them to, you know – How can people not be questioning it? I’m not sure Bradley and Colin feel the same way but, you know, there – you know, there isn’t – there is no, like, romance between the two of them … They are you know, friends and stuff like that and I think, you know, there’s a tongue in cheek played up to it but, I think whatever they wanna –  whatever the fans want to seed into the show, I mean, god! I get it from Me and Milly so, whatever they want to seed into the show, whatever makes them happy, whatever they see from it, how can you deny them that?  ∞ Alex Vlahos :  It becomes a love story between two men. In a platonic sense, it becomes a brilliant love story between Arthur and Merlin. And it’s told in a right possible way.  ∞ Bradley James : Believe it or not, I actually take it as quite a compliment erm because … myself and Colin have erm … y'know from the start y'know we discussed the relationship and how we wanted it to develop and  yeah I sort of take it as a compliment that the audiences are seeing something there that they can use and y'know bring it to a complete extreme in my opinion.  ∞ Colin Morgan : They’re intrinsically linked in terms of destiny. From the beginning Merlin’s been told that he has to ensure that Arthur is brought to the throne so that the land Merlin’s always dreamed of can evolve…And that’s Merlin’s job. And, you know, if along the way they become really good friends as a byproduct then that’s brilliant and that’s what’s happened. ∞ Eoin Macken : It’s a gay relationship between Colin and Bradley – Merlin and Arthur – You’re gonna have to ask Colin and Bradley that. I erm … whatever Merlin and Arthur do in their spare time is fine by me.  ∞ Julian Murphy (producer) :  I think it’s a love story, it absolutely is a love story.
