Beaming With Pride

 #THIS IS SOMETHING THAT WOULD GO DOWN THOUGH #the night before arthur and gwen’s wedding merlin goes to talk to arthur because #well I guess even though it’s selfish it’s eating away at his will to live and he has to tell arthur #he has to try #he won’t forgive himself if he doesn’t try #so he asks arthur if this is what he really wants and if he’s happy and arthur asks ‘what else would I want merlin?’ #and merlin doesn’t say anything and arthur gets even more agitated #he asks ‘why do you even care?’ and merlin finally says it #finally admits ‘because I LOVE YOU’ #’love me? you love me?’ #’YES. I DO. #and more angst where arthur starts yelling because why didn’t merlin say anything then arthur gave him his heart and merlin didn’t recipr… #and merlin is nearly blinded with tears at this point and so is arthur #and arthur presses his forehead against merlin’s and keeps asking ‘why? why’ #in a shaking voice #and the tears keep coming #and merlin finally whispers a spell #and his eyes go gold

NO STOP IT
