That wasnât awful!! I thought it was clever.
Glad to know my dorky sense of humour isn't lost amongst pretty girls.
How sweet are you! Little pot of sugar.
I taste really good with a hot cup a tea, too.
I'm sorry that was awful British humour.
Iâm sure England is wonderful, especially if the people are like you.
You're too kind. Arendelle must be a pretty magical place if souls as sweet as yours survive there.
Thank you, Nicholas!
So, where are you from?
England. Nothing quite as fancy as Arendelle, but it's home.

Of course, of course. Isaac is great with people.
Nick, itâs nice to meet you. Formally meet you, I mean. Iâm Katerina.
Yeah, he is.
It's great to formally meet you as well, Katrina. And may I say, you have a beautiful name.
Heâs doing fine! He went home for a little bit.
Iâm assuming you two are friends?
Friends, yeah! We're friends.
I'm Nick, by the way.
Of course I do! Heâs my cousin.
Your - Your cousin? You don't say. Well, uh, have you - have you seen him lately, by chance? Is he - Is he okay?
And Iâm feeling quite jolly.
Iâm from Arendelle, itâs a small little island all the way up in Northern Europe.
Arendelle? No - No way! Uh, you wouldn't happen to know a---a guy named Isaac, would you?
I really do adore the winter time. Maybe Iâm biased because itâs really always chilly where Iâm from, but regardless.
'Tis the season, right?
But where are you from that it's so cold all the time?

Low Road For The Fast Track || Nicholas / Amanda
"Itâs all about the dip and sway baby," Amanda laughed. "Youâre probably think too much too, donât worry about how you look!" She exclaimed. Without another word, Amanda took Nicholasâs hand and spun herself close to him, her back to his chest. "Follow my hips, yeah?" She grinned, feeling the music move her, happy, excited.
"But what if I look ridiculous??" He laughed over the music, though it was a genuine concern. Before Amanda could even answer him, her back was pressed to his front. He wasn't entirely sure what to do, so he just followed her. He held her hips loosely and moved his own with her, left and then right. It was easier than he thought. A large smile grew on his face as he found the rhythm, finding the fun in all of this that Amanda had kept speaking of.Â

Amanda finished off her liquor quickly and led Nicholas to the dance floor. The bass was thumping so loud it felt as though it had replaced her heartbeat. Slowly, Amanda began to move as much as her dress would allow. Her hips curved side to side, her hands sliding up her sides and over her head. She flicked her long hair behind her, laughing. âAhhh!â She exclaimed above the crowd. âIsnât this great!?â
Nicholas followed her onto the dance for, already overwhelmed. There were so many people and the music was so loud, he could barely think straight. Then again, perhaps that was the point. He watched Amanda instantly move, looking so smooth and sexy. "I wish I could dance like you!" He replied, loud enough to reach her over the music. He tried to dance, but he just felt so awkward with all these people. He moved his hips a bit, but essentially just bounced to the beat.Â

"Youâll get used to it!" Amanda exclaimed with laughter. "I used to hate it, but eventually I got really into it!" She laughed. "Take some extra lime, it will help you a lot!" Amanda explained. The idea of being someoneâs mentor into a scoundrel lifestyle was almost making Amanda giddy. "Letâs make this shots got down quickly and start dancing," She said over the music. "Letâs have fun!"
Nick appreciated Amanda's words of encouragement, though they didn't necessarily assist with the burning taste of liquor at the back of his throat. "Okay, whatever you say!" he complied with a smile. He lifted the second shot glass, bracing himself this time as he tapped it with her and swung it back, instantly sucking on one lime and then a second. He still shook his tongue out, trying to numb the burn. "Well, it helped," he chuckled. "Okay, now let's go dance!"Â

"I appreciate it," Amanda said softly. "I do. But, itâs really not a big deal. I donât mind it so much anymore, really. Iâm so used to itâ" She waved a hand in the air as if she were clearing the conversation from their breathing space. "Well, Iâm not going to tell you that itâs easy," Amanda laughed as she took a shot in one hand and a lime in the other. "But it makes you dance at least ten times better,â Amanda grinned and held up her shot glass. âAre you ready?â She giggled, clinking their glasses together and downing her shot quickly. She bit the lime, her head unintentionally shaking quickly. âAhhh!â She laughed. âSee?!â
Nicholas let her brush away the conversation, accepting it was a bit of a mood killer. He took the shot and tried to mimick exactly as she did. He tried not to show how frightened he was, her words certainly not helping him. But he downed the shot, doing everything he could to keep it down as it burned his throat. He bit the lime, which only offered him a sour moment of relief. "Oh god," he coughed. "That tasted like death!" He exclaimed, wagging his tongue as he laughed, trying to remove the atrocious taste from his mouth.Â

"Honestly, Iâm just kind of used to it," Amanda shrugged. Sheâd be out of a job if she didnât attract that sort of attention. "Some of my dadâs friends werenât the most gentlemanly, so I sort of got it once I hit puberty. Iâm just glad I was out of there before I turned eighteen," Even though Amanda was absolutely positive that she had seen her fatherâs friends come into the club at least twiceâshe was grateful that they knew well enough to keep their mouths shut about it.Â
Amanda was grateful that Nicholas didnât ask who she knew the burly man at the ropes because, honestly, Amanda was sick and tired of coming up with lie after lie about how she had come to know all these people. It was exhausting to remember who knew what about who and what she had said to this person as opposed to that one. Nicholas also had the sort of disposition that made you want to tell him the truth. âFirst, we go to the bar, we do a couple shots and then we hit the floor!â Amanda said, holding Nicholasâs hand above her head and scooting them to the bar. She leaned her elbows on the table, cleavage out and ready to get her a free round. âFour shots of tequila, no saltââ She looked at Nicholas and grinned. âExtra lime.â
"Wow that's - that's awful. I am so, so sorry," Nicholas said, genuinely sympathetic. No one, male or female, should ever be objectified in such a way, especially at such an age. "I'm just sorry it's something that you've had to get used to. You deserve to be treated better."
Nicholas did his best to follow Amanda's lead, too afraid to stray in such a foreign place. He held onto her hand tightly, shuffling through and around people in an attempt to keep up. When they finally made it to the bar, Nick kept half of his body against it with the other half against Amanda. With so many people, he didn't want them getting separated. He watched as everyone moved together, drinks flying left, right, and center. It was amazing. He glanced to Amanda as she ordered their drinks, matching her grin though he had no clue what she was referring to, or what extra lime would do. "I've never taken tequila shots before," he shouted over the music. "You'll have to help me out."

Low Road For The Fast Track || Nicholas / Amanda
"Wait until we get inside," Amanda said, not sure if it was a warning or just a statement. "Everyoneâll be looking," She explained. "Itâs just whoâs touching that you have to worry about," She shrugged. It was just a part of her lifestyle that, while she didnât love it (Hell, she didnât even like it), she accepted it. Thereâs only so many guys you can push away before youâre too exhausted and too drunk to put up much of a fight. All she could hope was that he was nice enough to at least pretend to be the least bit interested in her. âIâm going to be your fall from grace, my dear,â She laughed. âNot much further. Honestly, we could walk, but I had a feeling youâd never been on a public bus before, so I had to.
As the bus pulled up to their stop, Amanda made eyes at the man whose stare went directly to her legs and then upward, she stumbled down the steps to the street. The music was no where to be found, the only indicator that anything was happening was the small line of people forming at the corner. âCâmon,â She instructed, grabbing Nicholasâs hand and dragging him behind her. She bypassed the line and went right to the bouncer who recognized her almost instantly. On his nights off from the club, he worked here. âSweetest guy,â Amanda said into his ear as she led him into the club and through the bass that thumped so loud Amanda was sure he heartbeat skipped into its tune.
"Doesn't that bother you?" He asked innocently. He understood why people looked, especially with the way she dressed. It wasn't a bad thing, she was just so beautiful it was almost impossible to ignore. But especially when people touched her - who in their right mind thought that was okay? Nick already knew he would be taking on the roll of her guard dog tonight. He was not going to let anyone get too close or mistreat her. She was so kind and fun and wonderful, she deserved respect. "That's very considerate of you," he said as the bus pulled into the stop.
Nick followed her without question, noting the looks they got as they by passed the line. He smiled to the bouncer as they passed him before descending into the club. Nicholas was instantly overwhelmed. The music was thunderously loud and there were hundreds of people. "Wow," he said, not even knowing where to look. "Where do we start? What - What do we do??" He shouted to her over the music, already flustered.Â
Low Road For The Fast Track || Nicholas / Amanda
"Donât apologize," Amanda chuckled. "I think thatâs totally sweet. Most guys I know wouldnât be like that," In fact, most guys Amanda knew would be inching up the bottom of her dress as she spoke. There was something nice about not having to be on tonight. âThatâs it?â Amanda asked. âJeez, how are you not bored to death?â She asked. Genuinely, too. She didnât know a whole lot about a quiet life. âIf you stick with me, thatâll change. I can promise that,â She chuckled. âI hope it is!â
"As long as they're not like that," he chuckled, subtly motioning to the man he had been glaring at. He didn't understand how other guys she knew didn't react like he had. He didn't even know her that well but he instinctively knew that the way the man had been looking at her wasn't right. Nick hadn't even tried. "I don't know, I've never really tried anything else. I guess plainly, I don't know any better," he shrugged, laughing along with her. He liked to think she was laughing with him versus at him. "I think I'd be really okay with that," Nick assured her. "So how far is this place we're venturing to?"
