Purpose. 

A seven letter word we here too often, without ever knowing what it means. 

Making day and night one, we go about this world. For what? A purpose. 

As we grow older minute by minute, we try to reason with the world 

But why reason, when you don’t know your purpose. 

With each and every breath, we take steps towards our envisioned future

But is our envisioned future, our purpose? Or a mere fantasy to escape our daily binds 

We should not be shackled by our wants, as it merely distorts our perception of our needs

Instead rise above the materialistic desires, and understand what you crave

Take a breath and look within, what motivates our hearts to do what we do

For merely an escape or to better another, understand why you live, laugh, and love
