He kept his gaze on Georgie, trying to determine if he was really sincere or just trying to pull the leg he didnāt have. This guy had a sense of humor which was refreshing, Grantās own humor could be dark at times. Grant like the sound of sounding like a super-villain. It was what could best describe him at times. A genuine playfully sinister grin marked his face as he couldnāt help but be a little flustered by the remark. āGrant is fine⦠and if Iām a super villain what would that make you, Georgie Sinclair?ā
Grant had rarely ever let his guard down, and even now it wouldnāt be completely lowered. But if there was a chance that he could enjoy himself, even if it was just a once in a life time event, then why not allow himself the opportunity. This man did just happen to witness some harsh violence and that hadnāt deterred him. Maybe big fish like the fool that was drug out of here excited Georgie, so Grant wondered what he would think of someone like him, a shark.

Georgie was pleased to find his remark hadnāt been found offensive. The grin that Grant gave him sent a small chill down Georgieās spine, settling comfortably within the small of his back.
From the corner of his eye, Georgie noticed the waitress approaching with the new bottle of wine. He leaned back, making as if to stretch while doing so. Tilting his head slightly, Georgie flashed Grant a shit-eating grin of his own.
āA man lucky enough to have been found on your good side, hopefully,ā was his honest answer. Grabbing his glass, Georgie held it aloft to the waitress, offering a little wink as a way of letting the girl know all was well.
Grant let his smile fade as the waitress returned, waiting to respond as she went about filling their glasses. He gave her a polite thank you and asked for another minute to order. Once she had left the crime lord lifted his glass to Georgie and kept a steady eye contact with the man, smelling and tasting the wine. He appreciated a good wine, even if it wasnāt a greatly sought after year. Grant set the glass down and removed his cap. He didnāt feel like he was going to leave anytime soon, why would he with such pleasant company.
āYou know⦠Iām not really too- well, sociable so my etiquette might be rusty. Donāt get me wrong, what he got was intended⦠I just want you to know I donāt treat everybody that way.ā

Georgie returned Grantās glass with his own, a sort of toast to their odd meeting. His lips twitched into a smile before taking a sip, as Georgie watched the man take his hat off. He had beautiful hair.
Grantās comment made him stall for a moment. Georgie glanced from his company to the other patrons around them, huddled and hushed over their own tables. He returned his eyes to Grant, a confused half-smile forming.
āWhat?ā he asked honestly, with a little chuckle. His lower-class accent, his true accent, came through a bit thicker than he had intended, and he cleared his throat.
āI mean, Iām not quite sure what it is youāre trying to tell me,ā Georgie said softly with a shrug. He let the glass rest on the table as he crossed his arms and leaned back, not defensive, but more at ease. He had wanted to reach across and take the manās hand, but that would come soon enough. His head tilted slightly, eyeing the gorgeous man across from him, who seemed intent on filling Georgie in on things he could care less about. At the moment, Georgie simply wanted to get the man in bed, and let him see what he could prove there.
