The last days of calendaristic spring are almost over. It already smells like summer, the breeze is warmer, the greens are lush and the days are longer and longer. Still a bit to go until they peak in the Summer Solstice in June.

As for me, I am happy to share here with you my latest sticker sheet, that I've been working on for a long while. It's finally done! It's an early spring themed artwork, but  if you love those wet and crisp days of March, it's probably for you 💫

When I drew these ladies I was exploring chunky proportions and I thought it would be interesting to sprinkle some Regency Fashion flavor over them. So if you like these ladies, the entire Regency collection is now in my shop as stickers, ready to decorate your sketchbook or whatever little corner of your world :)

These ladies were inspired by the lush and luxurious costumes painted by Veronese. I discovered this amazing Italian painter quite late, but his large canvases with multiple characters, his women dressed in sumptuous garments, the lavish atmosphere, they all had an echo in my soul.

Not in time for spring equinox but close enough. Took a while to find the colors, as these are a bit out of my comfort zone. I was torn between something bright and sunny and something more dusty and pastel. And went for the latter. Not sure if this is the final version, or I will revisit it in a few months or years, sometimes I like to come back to older pieces and fix some little things here or there or just remake them altogether.

I somehow ended up with these 2 versions, and I will probably come back to edit them a bit more. Which one do you prefer?✨

I don’t usually finish the piece on the same day I post it, I like to have some distance from it. But this time is an exception.

The Scorpio is governed by Mars and Pluto, god of the shadows and of the Inferno. At this time of year, the wind blows away the yellow rusty leaves, while nature is preparing for a new existence.⁠

Not the Scorpio season at all, but I felt I needed to redo this brilliant star sign. Sometimes I feel these are ancient archetypes and we can identify with them in different seasons of our lives.

Happy spring! ✨🦋☀️ I wanted to paint a violet themed flower head for a few years. I actually sketched this last year, but only now I came back to it, changed up the linedrawing and added the colors. The last finishing touches was the hardest part.
