For a long time, the Fairy Tail fandom has generally been aware that many misleading or exaggerated claims tend to originate from the same sources. What I've noticed, however, is that people rarely acknowledge where this behavior is coming from. Instead it's often reduced to vague references like "they" or "them" which avoids addressing the issue directly.

While it's understandable that many wish to avoid shipping wars, silence can also allow harmful behavior to continue unchecked.

I think the reason mischaracterizations, hateful spam, and harassment within the fandom have persisted for so long is because of that silence. At some point, patterns need to be acknowledged.

To be clear: this is not an attack on the GrayLu community as a whole. A minority of GrayLu fans are multi-shippers who are simply here to enjoy Fairy Tail content and this post is not about them.

This is specifically about a subset of GrayLu shippers who continue to engage with and support content produced by thegraylushipper.

This person has created multiple blogs over the years that focus on spreading hostile and misleading claims about NaLu, Gruvia, and Juvia. Some of these accounts have previously been reported and removed, yet the same patterns of behavior continue across different platforms.

She is well-known online and is public about her hatred.

This isn't just about shipping preferences anymore. Along with constantly mischaracterizing fictional characters, sometimes, real people were misrepresented in harmful ways.

Part of the reason this behavior continues is that it's supported by others. You might say not all GrayLu shippers and that's true. Still, when a considerable number of Graylus enable or amplify this behavior, it can reflect poorly on the community as a whole.

Again, I'm not referring to multi-shippers or GrayLu fans who don’t support misleading content. I'm specifically talking about those who treat certain hate blogs as a reliable source of information.

It’s surprising that people think dedicated hate blogs have an unbiased, well-balanced, and logical take on things.

And to those who constantly bring negativity into NaLu, Gruvia, and Juvia spaces: If you dislike these ships or characters, that's fine. But repeatedly ignoring canon development, misrepresenting characters, and centering your fandom activity around tearing others down isn't productive. It's just standard fandom toxicity.

It's also worth pointing out the contradiction here. Many of you frame your ship as "healthy" yet engage in behavior online that directly contradicts those ideals.

I've noticed that many of the people engaging with this content are very young which helps explain their perspective. What's concerning are adults who treat these blogs which focus on criticizing or spreading negative content about certain ships as reliable sources of information.

Some of you may not be the ones posting and this applies regardless of your ship, but supporting or enabling this obsessive, misleading behavior says a lot about your choices.

Reminder: Gray gets bothered when Lyon takes Juvia away. He even kicked Lyon once during the GMG just to get Juvia, and Gray and Juvia weren’t even on the same team that time.

He wouldn’t take Juvia away from Lyon or try to separate them at least twice, and he wouldn’t look for her or even hang out with her if he didn’t like her or saw her actions as harassment like you antis claim. Again, he’s a tsundere.

And for the nth time, he didn’t fall in love with her because of her stalking which already ended in the early seasons. He fell for her because of her good qualities.

If you're an anti Gruvia reading this, and can't take criticism feel free to block me, but I'm going to elaborate my vision. Lol.

1. "Gray got a lobotomy to suddenly fell in love with Juvia"

Are we watching with our eyes closed, or do we just lack comprehension? Their relationship was a slow burn. It's been hinted that Gray has been developing feelings for her even before the Tenrou Arc that's also why Loke was giving him "that look" when Gray asked if Juvia failed the exam. Although at that time he didn't want to entertain nor acknowledge it because he was still very closed off because of his trauma. Not to mention he was very worried about her when she didn't return to the camp. And I won't even talk about Meredy's Maguilty Sense.

Also, If he had no feelings for her, he wouldn't have shown any sign of jealousy towards Lyon over Juvia when they returned after the time skip.

2."He clearly doesn't like her that way"

Yeah, he hugged her in Fairy Tail: Dead Meeeeeen, which was set before Tartaros.

And during the Tartaros Arc, he held her hand intimately when they were riding a cat-like creature on their way back to the guild from their investigation regarding the Magic Council members.

When Juvia told him she didn't have the right to love him anymore because she had killed the necromancer who was keeping his father alive, it was implied she was saying goodbye because she thought her presence was now a poison to Gray. If Gray wanted to get rid of her, this was the perfect chance to let her go, but what did he do? He hugged her, buried his face on her chest, and apologized to her thrice because he didn't want Juvia to disappear from his life. He initiated all that physical, intimate contact that he had never shared with anyone else.

3. "Her behavior was creepy asf and that she need to apologize to Gray"

I won't elaborate on the reason Juvia was behaving like that, because this will be very long and clearly you don't really understand her backstory or what happened in their first meeting.

But I will talk about her being a stalker and her creepy behavior post-Phantom Lord. She indeed was a stalker in the beginning of the series, but you know what happened in Tartaros? She began, although not completely, to respect Gray's boundaries. That's why she apologized to him when she went to see him (She had to confess what she did regarding his father). It was at that time the guild also disbanded, and she was ready to leave him for good because of her guilt.

And in the 100 Year Quest, if you're paying attention, although she wanted to see Gray, the real reason why she went to see Team Natsu is that she wanted to tell them about the White Mage and what happened to the guild. At the end of the first season, even though she wanted to go with Gray, she still stayed with the guild. That's character development.

And do you know why she still hugs Gray after Tartaros? It is because they grew closer and their relationship significantly changed during the 6 months they lived together. That is also why Gray was not pushing her away. If you ask why she lived with Gray during those months, just a reminder: Silver entrusted Gray to her, and Juvia knows how Gray truly feels, as she is emotionally intelligent.

But I think we forget all the other experiences she likely had been robbed of because of the rain that plagued her the first 17 years of her life.

She had probably never seen a starry sky. Never got to make a wish on a shooting star. She had probably read about them, but she never got to see constellations for herself. She just had to trust that they were out there, somewhere, beyond the blanket of clouds hanging above her head.

She had probably never seen the moon either. Her body is made up entirely of water. She likely experienced a similar type of gravitational pull from the moon as the oceans' tides did, and she never knew why – why her mood would shift so dramatically at times, or why her magic would become more unstable, or whatever the effect the moon's pull would have on her. She never knew what phase the moon was in. Perhaps she never even knew the moon had phases. She just never knew.

She had probably never seen what flowers looked like when they had sunlight to look at. All her life, she probably only ever saw flowers with their blooms either completely downcast, or maybe she never saw flowers at all – the over-watering from her rain resulting in the world around her being an unsuitable environment for plant life to grow. If she wanted to see flowers, she'd have to go to a florist. But even then, it wasn't the same. She wanted to see flowers as they are – sprouting from the ground, growing, thriving. She wanted the real thing.

She had probably never seen fireworks. Never got to see all the different colors, all the reds, blues, yellows, greens. She never knew fireworks could explode into so many different shapes. From willows, to peonies, to chrysanthemums. She never knew what they felt like, the almost deafening bangs and crashes and whistles reverberating throughout her entire body, rattling her ribs, shaking the ground beneath her feet. She never got to experience that awe, that thrill, growing up.

Sure, when Juvia joined Fairy Tail, she finally got to experience a sunny sky. She finally got to experience long, lasting friendships, but there was probably so much more she got to experience for the first time that we just don't know about.

When the rain went away, to say she was probably overwhelmed would be an understatement. There was so much more to do now, so much more to see. Where should she even start?! She likely had to make a list, a list of things she'd like to experience. Hell, perhaps she could even experience them with her new friends.

When the rain went away, the gloomy Juvia locked away in her room, crying day in and day out, suddenly didn't exist. She was reborn. She didn't want to be locked away indoors all the time anymore. She didn't want to cry herself to sleep. She wanted to be out there, out in the world, living for the very first time.
