Next up, we went over to Oakley, Kansas to the Buffalo Bill Cody museum. They also allow dogs and the two ladies working were extremely nice! It was getting chillier and the wind was picking up, so we didn't walk up to the statue. On our way back, the GPS took us twenty miles down a gravel road, back to Lake Scott, where we found these beautiful rock formations, just in the middle of nowhere.

We also visited the new Kansas State Park, Little Jerusalem! Very similar to Monument Rocks and just as beautiful and amazing. We walked 1/4 mile (one way) to the overlook point, as my mom has some leg issues and we had already walked a bunch at Monument Rocks. I believe the other trail down into the rocks was 1.5 miles (one way) in total.

Monument Rocks - Kansas

Our first full day of our mini vacation. Our first stop was Monument Rocks, only about twenty minutes from our campsite. My wife (@laughinghorse ) and I visited two years ago, but wanted to share the beauty with my mom. She seemed to really enjoy herself! We also got to bring our dog this time, as well.
